Part of being a scout, is learning that in your life you will make mistakes. The leaders are not there to judge the scouts, rather to be role models for the scouts so that they may make informed decisions. It has never been about "you can not do this, nor has it ever been "Today we learn about homosexuality" In my lifetime, I've seen segrigation come to an end, I've seen the iron curtan fall, and while there have been strides for woman's rights- we - as a nation have been lacking in basic human rights, yet we proclaim we are an enlightened nation.
