This is Romo's first public comment following reports that Joe Simpson is a meddling influence - both with his relationship with Jessica Simpson and his business life - and that his own parents dislike the Simpsons.

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have been dogged by rumors that her father has been interfering throughout their nearly seven-month-old courtship.

Romo insists that is "so far from the truth."

A jury has acquitted R. Kelly on all 14 counts of child pornography.

The lame singer was first charged six years ago after a kinky sex tape surfaced that allegedly featuring him having sex with - and urinating on - some girl who was only 13 years old at the time.

R. Kelly had long denied being on the video tape; even the alleged victim said it wasn't her during the trial.

R. Kelly may have gross sex tape preferences. But they don't make him a pedophile, a jury of his peers has just concluded.

It's a family thing. Former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick - brother of jailed NFL QB Michael Vick - was arrested earlier this morning.

Marcus Vick's arrest did not involve any dogs being murdered, but merely the troubled star leading authorities on a wild goose chase.

According to Norfolk, Va. police, a bike cop approached Vick after he saw him arguing with a woman in a car early Friday morning.

When the officer asked him to show his ID, Vick - in a move straight out of The Simpsons - decided he would hightail it down the road!

After the cops caught up with him and pulled him over, Marcus Vick failed a field sobriety test and was subsequently charged with DUI, eluding police, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license.

The lady friend Marcus was barking at, identified as Delicia Cordon of Miami, was also arrested and charged with being drunk in public.

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe finalized their divorce yesterday.

According to documents dated June 12, the former couple "have settled all their remaining issues in these proceedings." Witherspoon filed for divorce in 2006, citing irreconcilable differences.

"After the divorce, I was a physical wreck. I wanted to die," Phillippe said a few months ago. "I was ready to kill myself. I was not taking care of myself at all. I would wake up and cry and vomit."

Jason Wahler and Katja Decker-Sadowski are getting married.

That they're engaged is nothing new - but it could be a sealed deal within a year, according to the former Laguna Beach star's bride-to-be!

"We want to do it sooner rather than later," said Katja, a student at USC.

"My parents want me to finish school first and that won't be until 2010. So we want to do it probably a little bit before graduation, but I need my parents' help to plan the wedding!"

"And if her parents don't agree, it's a no-go! So we are looking, realistically, at 12 to 15 months from now.

Katja Decker-Sadowski and Jason Wahler: Still engaged and happy.

Jason and Katja are pitching a reality show - reportedly called 22 and Taken - and the wedding "will be a part, but it's not the focus of the show."

Even if they've got another year to go, he and Katja Decker-Sadowski have already gotten into marriage mode by moving in together.
