Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic presidential candidate, says that his wife is an "extraordinary mother" to daughters Malia, 9, and Sasha, 7.

"Nothing is more important to Michelle than being a good mother," Barack Obama told the celebrity gossip publication. "She works every day to instill in our girls the same values we were raised with."

Celebrity gossip followers refer to Selena Gomez as the next Miley Cyrus.

But might the young Disney star actually be the enemy of Miley Cyrus? Not according to Selena herself.

The Wizards of Waverly Place actress replied to rumors of a feud with the Hannah Montana portrayer by telling E! Online:

"We're literally like, It's fine. It's all good. She's Miley and I'm Selena."

Truer words literally cannot be spoken.

Selena Gomez claims she doesn't mind comparisons to Miley Cyrus.

Gomez added that isn't turned off by the comparisons to Cyrus:

"It's a little overwhelming, but I think really, it's a compliment. She's obviously extremely successful, and I think she's a wonderful performer... So being compared to her, I was very, very flattered."

If Jessica Simpson is to be believed, Leona Lewis is not a real woman.

Following the donning of a t-shirt that claimed "Real Women Eat Meat," Simpson must now face questions as to how one would describe Lewis, who has been named Sexiest Vegetarian of 2008 by PETA. (Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis shared the honor.)

The British singer beat out better known vegetarians such as Kristen Bell, Milo Ventimiglia, Abbie Cornish and Hayden Panettiere for the award.

Leona Lewis is one sexy vegetarian. But is she really the sexiest vegetarian alive?

"I am totally against animal cruelty," Lewis said, who also knocked off perpetual The Hollywood Gossip favorite and Simpson rival Carrie Underwood in the poll. "I am vegetarian so I don't have clothes, shoes, or bags made from leather or suede or any animal products… I'm on a mission."

Maybe you've never even heard of him, but he's a handsome fella! Bryan Spears, 31, is a TV and film producer living in New York.

It's probably not surprising that the big brother of Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears says he prefers the behind-the-scenes life.

Now that he's dating Kimberly Caldwell, it may not matter very much.

But David Cook says he was never really a ladies man, lacking the confidence necessary to sweep a potential mate off her feet.

"Looking a pretty woman in the eye and convincing her I'm worth taking a chance on is different," Cook said recently, when asked to compare his stage bravado with his personal life. "It takes a specific brand of guts, and it's not the kind I have."

David Cook may not be smooth, but the American Idol champion wouldn't have to say much to win over most women.

According to recently unsealed documents, Lisa Van Allen - the woman who said she had sex with R. Kelly and the alleged victim in the case that just exonerated the singer - said one R. Kelly's henchmen threatened to kill her.

As reported by TMZ, Van Allen claimed in pretrial papers that an "employee" of R. Kelly said she should have been knocked off for snitching on the musician.

Van Allen also revealed that she was paid $100,000 for a sex tape with her and another allegedly underage girl by an associate of R. Kelly. We'll have more on this disturbing story as it develops.

It's been a roller coaster week for former Dancing with the Stars contestant and Bayside High School graduate Mario Lopez.

While the serious stud muffin was just named People's Hottest Bachelor, he also stands accused of cheating on ex-girlfriend Karina Smirnoff.

Ironically, in the article touting Mario's selection and physique, the aforementioned magazine asks him about his ideal mate:

"I like a girl who's from a modest sort of upbringing, because it's more relatable," Lopez said. "I'm a first-generation American. My parents [Elvia and Mario Sr.] emigrated from Mexico and live in the same house I grew up in Chula Vista, Calif. I'd feel weird if the girl was a little too uppity or affluent, because I'm a very down-home kind of guy."

Now that Meagan Cooper has told E! that she and Lopez carried on a year-long affair while he dated Smirnoff, the quote above makes one wonder just what kind of guy the actor truly is.

And that goes for all the Saved by the Bell alums. First ,Dustin Diamond came out with a sex tape, and now Mario Lopez is accused of cheating.
