God knows why, but yes, it's true. The Hills / celebrity gossip star Heidi Montag is determined to make it in the music business.

"Heidi has started her own record label with Super Producer RedONE," People reports. "RedOne will write and produce an entire album of 13 songs."

Amongst RedOne's credits is Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie," and he has collaborated on a new album with Michael Jackson in Las Vegas recently. Heidi Montag's new album will also feature a cameo by RedOne's business partner, Akon!

The first is a track (click link to listen) called "Fashion."

In February, Montag's fiance and acne-riddled manager, Spencer Pratt, confirmed that an album was indeed in the works.

Spencer's comment: "We're financing [the album] ourselves on a shoestring budget ... It's so organic. And this is just the warm-up. We're just heating up the water in the bathtub. It's gonna get hot!"

Okay... the album will undeniably suck, but we have to give credit to Spencer where it's due... that's one of the best celebrity quotes ever.

Don Imus has done it again!

Yesterday, the controversial, much-maligned radio host wondered aloud about the race of NFL star Adam "Pacman" Jones after hearing about the various (and by various, we mean many) run-ins with the law Jones has had.

"What color is he?" Imus asked his co-host.

After learning that Pacman is African-American, he shot back, "Well, there you go."

You know who's loving this? Charlie Sheen! He's no longer the biggest racist moron of the month! Well he probably still is, but you get the point.

Don Imus was fired by CBS last year after he referred to the Rutgers women's basketball team as "nappy-headed hos." Snoop Dogg was not happy.

He was rehired after eight months. WABC, the station that broadcasts the show, said Don Imus will explain his comments today. Mmm hmm.

Phoenix Suns center Shaquille O'Neal took a shot at his former teammate, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, as he rapped Sunday night.

Yes, you read that correctly.

During the free-style rapping, he accused Bryant of ruining his marriage (!?) before launching into how Kobe Bryant lost the NBA playoffs, etc.

Yes, there was Shaquille O'Neal, blaming his former teammate for ruining his marriage and imploring him to "Tell me how my ass tastes."

After spending several verses shredding Kobe's game, Shaq drops the line, "I'm a horse, Kobe ratted me out, that's why I'm getting divorced."

There is no love lost between Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal.

The line may be referencing a comment Kobe Bryant made during his infamous 2003 rape case, when he told Colorado cops that he "Should have done what Shaq does ... Shaq would pay his women not to say anything."

Interestingly, Kobe does not seem to have learned this lesson five years later, with the Vanessa Curry scandal hanging over his head. Jackass.

Anyway. The two became famously bitter rivals after the incident, and Shaq was traded to the Miami Heat in 2004. Kobe? No titles since.

Aspiring singer / teenage mistress Diana Bianchi will testify in the upcoming divorce trial of Christie Brinkley, her lawyer confirms.

Diana Bianchi, then 18, was the woman at the center of the sex scandal that ruined the marriage of Brinkley and Peter Cook in 2006.

Supermodel and mom Christie Brinkley, 54, and home-wrecker Diana Bianchi, 19.

"She is looking to move forward in her life and regain her anonymity," Bianchi's attorney, Rosemarie Arnold, said.

"She has pursued a career in music by choice. That choice has nothing to do with Christie Brinkley or Peter Cook. She wants the media to respect her privacy."

Amy Winehouse, who really might die and has been hospitalized for testing after collapsing in London last week, is suffering the early stages of emphysema, her father, Mitch, says - but she is "responding brilliantly to treatment."

The troubled singer, 24, was rushed to the hospital June 16 after she fainted in her home. She has been undergoing tests that ruled out tuberculosis, but her father said over the weekend that Amy has serious health problems.

So bad is her lung capacity that she might be confined to a wheelchair.

"When we got to the hospital a room was ready," Mitch Winehouse told The Mirror (UK). "Several doctors came in to make sure she didn't need any emergency treatment. They put her on a drip straight away because she was dehydrated. She said, 'Don't worry about me, dad. I know I've got to stop taking drugs.'"

Amy Winehouse had been awake for 48 hours before going to the hospital. After she was admitted, she "curled up in bed" and slept for three straight days.

Speaking on BBC Radio 1 Monday, the elder Winehouse clarified and amplified some of his earlier remarks about the Grammy winner's condition, stating:

"Amy really hasn't got emphysema. There's traces of emphysema. Obviously, if she doesn't quit smoking it's gonna get worse, as with everybody else."

Having weathered the highs and lows of several eating disorders, actress Brittany Snow has sworn off dieting and personal trainers!

"I'm done. I canceled my trainer," Snow, 22, said over the weekend at Stride Gum's Longest Day of the Year party in West Hollywood.

"I refuse to do the whole diet or fitness thing anymore. I just go and have fun. I know what I like, what makes me feel good, and that's what I do."

Brittany Snow has had anorexia, exercise bulimia, depression, and body dysmorphic disorder as a teen - once falling to a Kate Bosworth-esque 85 pounds.

But the cute actress credits fellow star and friend Sophia Bush for helping to coach her on her body image issues and now is doing better!
