Disney Insider Responds to Billy Ray Cyrus, Questions Miley's Future
In a wide-ranging interview with GQ this month, Billy Ray Cyrus says he and his kids are under attack by Satan.
He also says the casting of Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana "destroyed" his family and that he'd take it all back "in a second" if he could. How does Disney feel about these remarks?
“We saw it coming for a long time,” a company source tells The Hollywood Reporter. “She wanted to mature herself, but it kind of backfired. Her future without Disney is TBD.”
As for Billy Ray's assertion in the same article that he made no money off Miley, the Disney insider says that's “ludicrous.” That pretty much sums up most of the country singer's quotes in that interview.
We mean, seriously: if an attack by Satan simply results in some skimpy clothing and bong smoking, this Lucifer guy has been been way oversold for awhile now.
Lil Wayne Pimp-Slaps Oreos on Facebook
Already the reigning champion of prison Uno games and making it rain at strip clubs and impregnating women, Lil Wayne is now king of Facebook as well.
After Nabisco claimed to have made Facebook history by racking up 114,619 "Likes" for Oreo cookies in a 24-hour span, Weezy decided to step up.
Only five hours after Wayne proclaimed he was gunning for Nabisco's record, the rap star had secured a demonstrative, staggering 588,243 Likes.
Nabisco? Is that you? Can't see you from way up here!
No word on how many of Weezy's many baby mamas Liked his page, or whether Justin Bieber is mulling his own bid for this social media record.

American Idol Group Night: The Trials of Jacee Badeaux
Group night on American Idol brought out the talented - Deandre Brackensick, Jacob Lusk - and the petty:
Poor 15-year old Jacee Badeaux was booted from his first group, in the middle of the evening, leaving him to scramble for a replacement and learn a new routine at the last moment.
The youngster recovered from the snub and joined Sugar Mama and the Babies (Denise Jackson, Stevie Cain, Natalie Hanson, Brett Loewenstern) for a rendition of "Mercy," but forgot some of the lyrics and improvised about not wanting to go home. It was cute, but not exactly American Idol champion material.
Below, watch Scotty McCreery, Clint Jun Gamboa, Monique De Los Santos and Frances Coontz explain their treatment of Badeaux, followed by this group's performance and that of Sugar Mama and the Babies:
David Letterman on Lindsay Lohan Debacle: Sorry?
David Letterman apologized for the Lindsay Lohan fiasco on the Late Show last night. Not that it was sincere by any means, but better than nothing.
The host is bent out of shape by the incident in which he booked Lindsay on his show, only to have the troubled star claim she never agreed and bail.
That's because an impostor - later revealed to be that douchenozzle Michael Lohan - set it up without her consent, for which Dave blames himself.
Here's his hilarious, non-heartfelt apology ...
Deandre Brackensick: New American Idol Contender
This is what I joined forces with American Idol to hear. That was as good as it gets.
So gushed Steven Tyler soon after Keonna Evans, Jalen Harris, Sarina-Joi Crowe, Felix Ramsey and Deandre Brackensick completed their rendition of Queen's "Somebody to Love" on last night's American Idol group round.
All were impressive, but 16-year old Brackensick stood out the most. Just listen to this student's falsetto in the following video and sound off: think he has a chance to go far on season 10?
Michael Vick Calls Audible, Bails on Oprah
Michael Vick just called time out on his interview ever with Oprah Winfrey that was set to air next week. The abrupt cancellation was not explained.
"Michael Vick was scheduled to be a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show for an episode airing next Thursday," said a spokesman for Harpo Productions.
"Mr. Vick's representatives called to cancel his appearance for personal reasons."
Vick did not elaborate, but told Philadelphia Sports Daily, that "I admire and respect Oprah and hope to be able to participate in an interview in the future."
Why would the NFL star bail? It's doubtful that he's ducking tough questions, as he's faced them head on for over a year, and he has a heck of a story to tell.
After running an illegal dogfighting ring led to a 23-month stint in prison and home confinement, he returned to the NFL in 2009 and climbed back to stardom.
Some sources say the cancellation may boil down to a friendly wager. Seriously.
Happy 30th Birthday, Paris Hilton!
Paris Hilton turns 30 years old today and, please folks, wish her a happy birthday.
This washed-up A-lister really needs some support, having sat around over the last couple years and watched Kim Kardashian usurp her title as Least Important Famous Member of Society. It's been rough.
The heiress was forced to throw herself a flapped-themed party in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, as she was joined by boyfriend Cy Waits and a petting zoo at the event. All was taped for her upcoming Oxygen reality show, of course. It's time for a comeback!
Jacob Lusk: Get Ready, Here He Comes!
Get ready, American Idol fans. Here comes Jacob Lusk!
The 23-year old from Los Angeles was scarcely featured during that city's original round of season 10 auditions. But he stood out from all other contenders on last night's group night, joining forces with Naima Adedapo - another rumored member of the top 40 - for an a cappella version of the Temptations' "Get Ready."
Watch now and prepare to Lusk after this contestant:
Melissa Rycroft, Tye Strickland Welcome Baby Girl!
Melissa Rycroft Strickland is now a mom. She and husband Tye Strickland welcomed daughter Ava Grace on Wednesday afternoon in Dallas on Wednesday!
Ava Grace Strickland is the first child for the pair, who married in December 2009 in Mexico. Mother and child are resting comfortably and happy.
"Our lives have changed so much in the last two years and today we've been blessed with the best change ever, our beautiful baby girl," she said.
The Stricklands have welcomed their newest family member.
The onetime Bachelor contestant – who was famously dumped by Jason Mesnick after becoming engaged in an After the Final Rose stunner – said earlier this year that the surprise turn of events had been an enormous blessing in her life.
"Everything is wonderful and life is exactly as it should be," she said.
Melissa Rycroft also made the Dancing With the Stars finals. Congratulations to the Texas beauty and her husband on this joyous moment in their lives.
Angelina Pivarnick: Engaged to David Kovacs!
Former Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick is engaged. Somehow, she convinced David Kovacs to propose to her. Hopefully for his sake it's a stunt.
That's not a stretch. The reality star's boyfriend popped the question as cameras rolled at STYLE360 Sachika's fashion show at NYC's Fashion Week.
Here, for Angelina's 12 fans, is the magical moment ...
David Kovacs makes the biggest mistake of his life.
"She said yes," says the onlooker of Pivarnick. "She was completely surprised [and said], 'Are you serious?' She looked really happy and shocked."
"She covered her face with her hand and dropped ring on carpet because she was so nervous. He then picked her up and they hugged and kissed."
Aww. Congratulations, we guess. Sorry, Justin Rego. You totally missed out. Our pick for the first dance song at Angelina Pivarnick's wedding ...
