Jennifer Grey is 50 years old. 50. Think about how much more impressive that made the actress' Dancing With the Stars debut. Grey leads outright with 24 points!

While The Situation and Bristol Palin get more press, the Dirty Dancing star and Derek Hough got more points - 8s from all three judges for their Viennese Waltz.

"I'm surprised at how much fun it was to perform it," Jennifer said, noting that she feared coming on DWTS. Hough praised Grey as "honest" and "uplifting."

Not in the literal sense. Grey reportedly refuses to be lifted in the air on the show, which is too bad. Oh well. Check out her first routine of the season here:

Who do you think will win this season, and who are you rooting for to take home DWTS' coveted Mirror Ball? Vote in our survey after the jump ...

The highlight of the Dancing With the Stars premiere - to fans and Bristol Palin herself - was the revealing of her sexy dress beneath a more conservative outfit.

"That was my favorite part!" she told Us Weekly after the performance. "Leading up to it I was pretty nervous, but once I pulled the jacket off it was all good!"

Added partner Mark Ballas, "That's when things kicked in, and she was like, 'Ok, let's go!'" They scored only 16, but Len Goodman praised her "good hip action."

Wait ... wait for it ... that's what Levi Johnston said!

While Bristol and Mark cha-cha-ed, Sarah cheered from afar.

Bristol Palin said that the show's routines are difficult, but she's optimistic: "It's good we're going in the right direction, but we've still got a lot of work to do."

Ballas is "pumped because if you saw the first day to now - her improvement is crazy! She's the most improved and we are so happy. I'm really proud of her."

So where was Sarah Palin last night?

A few days after Adam Lambert tussled briefly with a cameraman (who proceeded to actually run to the cops over the incident), the singer appeared on the Nick and Nina Show on Y100 yesterday and explained his side of the confrontation.

Lambert calmly said that he had posed for pictures for about 45 minutes. He understands that the presence of the paparazzi is "part of the gig" for any celebrity.

But the photographer refused to stop snapping away, even after Adam said he asked the guy to give him a break because he just wanted to "kick it, eat some food and have a Piña Colada." Listen to Lambert's take below and then sound off in our poll:

Whose side are you on in this feud?

The Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Barney's estranged husband, Simon Barney, was arrested this morning on suspicion of domestic battery.

Simon, who is in the process of divorcing Tamra, got into an argument with her over their dog and allegedly threw the dog's leash at her and hit her wrist.

Simon Barney Mug Shot

That's gotta hurt. TMZ reports that Tamra Barney called the police and had her soon-to-be ex-husband arrested. Simon is now being held on $10,000 bail.

Simon Barney has now joined our illustrious celebrity mug shot hall of fame. Danielle Staub would be proud. Or jealous she's getting attention for once.

Austin bar owner Brad Womack starred as The Bachelor in 2007, infamously leaving both Deanna Pappas and Jenni Croft behind on an emotional season finale.

Now, he's reportedly going to take another crack at reality TV love! According to reports, Brad has signed on to star on the new season, beginning in January.

Brad Womack and Chantal O'Brien

"All signs are pointing to Brad being the next Bachelor," Steve Carbone, a.k.a. Reality Steve, reports, noting that this long-running rumor is basically a done deal.

It sounds ridiculous, but the show has earned record ratings ever since Brad rejected DeAnna, who rejected Jason Mesnick, who rejected Jillian Harris, who nixed Jake, who rejected Ali Fedotowsky (sort of). So in a way, he started it all!

The show believes recycling people is what works, but really? Do people still care about Brad Womack? Apparently enough for ABC to contemplate this twice. Brad reportedly was approached before Jake last season and turned it down.

Bachelorette runner-up Chris Lambton passed up the role, as predicted, opting to return to his normal life on Cape Cod instead. Admirable, albeit unusual. Which leaves us with The Bachelor star from three seasons ago. Amazing.

What do you think of Brad Womack as the next Bachelor?

This week, the U.S. Senate is taking about repealing the military's controversial "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy, which prohibits gays from openly serving.

Senate Democrats have made repealing the discriminatory policy a condition of the $726 billion spending bill the play to pass for the coming fiscal year.

It's a bold move for a law already under siege. A federal judge in California ruled it unconstitutional and polls are showing increasing support for repeal.

Among the more vocal supporters? Lady Gaga. In a recent YouTube video, the pro-gay rights music star lobbied for the Senate to overturn the law:

Elisabeth Moss and Fred Armisen are divorcing. As celebrity breakups go, we sort of had a hunch this one was coming ... when he started dating someone else.

After just eight months of marriage, the Mad Men star and SNL cast member cite June 26 as their separation date and irreconcilable differences as the reason.

They first met when Jon Hamm hosted SNL.

Fred Armisen and Elisabeth Moss have packed it in.

Even before their split was made official, sources reported last month that Armisen was publicly dating Abby Elliott, a fellow Saturday Night Live cast member.

The breakup of Armisen and Moss is likely for the best, but sadly, this means no Mad Men/SNL double dates with Jason Sudeikis and January Jones. Oh well.

Might there actually be hope for the sane, moderate and rational?

Less than a week after Jon Stewart announced that he was holding the Rally to Restore Sanity on October 30 - a gathering meant to give voice to the less vocal majority who don't compare Barack Obama to Hitler simply because they disagree with his health care reform package - that event's Facebook page is blowing up.

Good luck, Jon Stewart. There's a lot of sanity out there in need of restoring.

While it obviously awaits to be seen just how many folks show up in D.C. next month, 93,000 people have already RSVP'd in the positive on the Rally to Restore Sanity Facebook page.

Another 48,000 say they "might" attend - and these numbers don't even include the 37,000 individuals that are on board for Stephen Colbert's March to Keep Fear Alive.

The embattled Dr. Conrad Murray reportedly plans to call some star witnesses in his involuntary manslaughter trial stemming from Michael Jackson's death:

The late King of Pop's children.

House of Horrors

Murray believes their testimony could help get him off the hook for giving Michael Jackson a lethal overdose of Propofol that authorities believe killed him.

Could Paris and Prince actually get Dr. Conrad Murray off the hook?

Paris and Prince Michael Jackson may be called as defense witnesses and will be asked about specific statements supposedly made soon after his death.

Dr. Conrad Murray believes Prince and Paris Jackson will admit their father had long-standing drug addictions, a key component of his defense strategy.

A source said: "After saying goodbye to her dad at the hospital, Paris said, 'My daddy is so cold again. He was always cold. He would sit by the fire to get warm. We were always afraid he would fall in as we was so close to the flames."
