In years to come, Suri Cruise's first trip to Paris will be remembered as a blend of rainy weather shopping, snacks, her frumpy mom's ruined heels and a well-planned nap.

But no matter. Taking a day trip from Berlin, where dad Tom Cruise is making Valkyrie, mom brought 16-month-old Suri to Paris for a quick visit Thursday.

Katie Holmes and her drowsy daughter started out early, spending nearly an hour at Dior's main shop on Avenue Montaigne while heavy rains lashed the city.

Afterwards, Suri Cruise showed considerable enthusiasm in tearing into a croissant across the street (who wouldn't) at the restaurant L'Avenue.

From there, it was on to the Louvre, where Suri Cruise seemed more interested in chasing pigeons in the courtyard than anything inside. Then she got tired.

Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil have been hoping for the same thing.

Before Amber Lee Ettinger was known as the Obama Girl in one of the funniest YouTube videos of the year, she was voted a Hometown Hottie in Maxim.

Just 82 minutes after Nicole Richie checked herself into Lynwood, Calif., jail, she left a free woman. That's some serious hard time.

According to the official website of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Dept., Nicole Richie checked in at 3:15 PM and was released at 4:37 PM.

Nicole was reportedly assigned to a cell for only 35 minutes! We've spent longer than that gazing at Mary-Louise Parker nude, for crying out loud.

A Sheriff's source tells TMZ Nicole was routinely processed and released according to normal operating rules. Yeah. Normal for rich brats who get strings pulled for them.

Nicole Richie's mug shot screams: "I'm outta here, suckers!"

In a brilliant move by Nicole's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, Richie was shuffled in and out of the can while the media's attention was focused on an even bigger law-breaking prima donna train wreck - Lindsay Lohan.

The anemic one was sentenced to four days in the slammer for driving the wrong way on an L.A. freeway while under the influence - her second DUI offense. She was given credit for one day because she was in the slammer for six hours after her arrest.

Because of prison overcrowding, though, and perhaps because she is pregnant with her first child, Nicole Richie was set free barely an hour after arriving.

Score another one for celebrity justice.

Train wreck singer Amy Winehouse got into another bizarre, bloody fight with her husband after he found her in a hotel "cutting" herself.

But just 24 hours later, Winehouse was seen out and about, and claimed that the man she'd just "lost it" on had actually saved her life.

Here's how it went down, according to the UK's Daily Mail: the songstress, who had left rehab - again - after just a few days and was holed up in the Sanderson Hotel in London, was spotted by photographers walking around London early Thursday with cuts and blood on her face.

Her legs and feet were also bloodied, and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, had cuts all over himself as well.

In a series of text messages posted on Perez Hilton, however, Amy explained she was "cutting herself" in her hotel and "after he found me ... rightly said I wasn't good enough for him. I lost it and he saved my life."

Early this morning, at 4:00 a.m. London time, the couple was seen cleaned up and strolling arm-in-arm down the street.

TMZ, meanwhile, directly contacted Scotland Yard, who reports that no charges will be filed in connection with the incident. Winehouse has made no secret of her history of self-mutilation, but this is one of her more disturbing episodes yet.

We love Amy's tunes, but what a mess! She's like a British, more talented version of Britney Spears ... with a penchant for violence!

The American Idol stage wasn't enough for Blake Lewis.

Everyone's favorite beat boxing sensation has signed a contract with 19 Recordings/Arista Records. He's already recording an album with producers that range from JR Rotem (yes, the former Britney Spears play thing) to Sean Kingston, due to be released at the end of the year.

As label head Clive Davis put it to Us Weekly: "Blake has a strong music sensibility and knows who he is and what his music should represent. His collaborators are all knocked out by him."

Blake Lewis has a reason to smile: The second-place finisher has signed a record deal.

Lewis has already experienced chart success with two of his covers from Idol. Right now, he's on tour with his fellow American Idol finalists, such as winner Jordin Sparks and best friend Chris Richardson (yes, the rumored former Lauren Conrad play thing).

"I love performing, so spending the summer on the road has been a great experience," Lewis said. "But I'm also enjoying my time in the studio and I'm very excited about recording my debut album. I'm thrilled to be working with 19 Recordings and ARISTA Records"

Idol creator Simon Fuller calls Lewis "one of the most unique contestants I've ever seen." It's not hard seeing this talent following in the footsteps of past show successes such as Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.
