Sometimes, things change so fast (like the Usher-Tameka Foster wedding saga) that celebrity news is outdated in a matter of hours.

Sometimes, "news" about celebrities is just plain made up. Such was the case in which a story from yesterday about a certain celebrity gossip staple turned out to be baloney.

Looks like Paris Hilton doesn't need to worry about family patriarch and precious grandad Barron Hilton cutting her out of his will after all, TMZ reports.

Oh well. Paris Hilton still puts the "ho" in hotel heiress, though. And we're pretty sure we're not wrong about The Simple Life getting the ax, at least.

A story published in the UK said the ex-con party princess was in jeopardy of losing her inheritance because sullying the family reputation with sex tapes, jail stints and the like, saying that grandpa was officially cutting her out of the will.

Which would have made perfect sense, as she is a disgrace to her family and, quite often, our species. But just the same, the story we reported yesterday just isn't true.

Paris Hilton and her grandfather, Barron, are actually on good terms.

After the socialite was sprung from jail, she spent a few days at grandpa Hilton's family compound in Beverly Hills. It's rumored that Paris and her sister, Nicky Hilton, stand to inherit somewhere in the neighborhood of $30 million per.

Which kind of explains why Tyler Atkins would want to hit that.

The embattled Tameka Foster is finally speaking out about the swirl of rumors surrounding her canceled wedding to R&B singer Usher last Saturday.

"No one knows why we canceled the wedding, but I can tell you that all of the reasons that everyone is speculating and writing about are untrue," a defiant Foster told People.

She declined to reveal more about why the nuptials were abruptly called off.

Sources say that at the crux of the situation were family matters (Usher's mom and former manager, Jonetta Patton, was against the wedding) and fights between the bride and groom over wedding details.

Foster, 37, who is now in Atlanta (as is Usher, 28) does address one rumor that spread on local radio stations and blogs - that following Saturday's canceled ceremony, she was hospitalized and in pre-term labor.

"We had a scare," she says. "But, I am fine and the baby is fine."

The couple announced back in June (to the great dismay of many irate Usher fans) that they were expecting their first child together, due this fall.

Tameka Foster and Usher's nuptials were scheduled to take place this past Saturday in Long Island's Hamptons, at the residence of Island Def Jam CEO L.A. Reid.

But hours before the scheduled ceremony, the 70-100 guests expected to attend Usher's wedding were notified that it wasn't taking place as planned.

At the time, a publicist for the R&B singer, Patti Webster, said in a statement:

"It was announced today that the wedding of Usher Raymond IV and Tameka Foster has been canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected."

In the words of Chris Daughtry, "It's Not Over."

Only it probably still is. But anyway. Some pals of recently split Jessica Alba and Cash Warren say they are confident the two will eventually be back together.

Despite their recent breakup, friends, say there's a good chance Cash and Jessica will iron out their differences and rekindle the passion. The main reason for the split?

"He wasn't ready for marriage, and Jessica is," says an insider close to the Fantastic Four star.

"It's simple as that. It's kind of cold that the press is saying she was just finished with him, because it isn't like that."

Huh? You mean to tell The Hollywood Gossip that Cash Warren wasn't ready to commit here? The whole stereotype about a guy being afraid to commit to one woman for the rest of his life kind of goes out the window when we're talking about Jessica Alba.

Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer? That we could understand.

In any event, apparently Alba got some serious marriage pangs at the recent fairy-tale chateau wedding of her friend, Eva Longoria.

"Seeing Eva get married made Jessica wistful," says the friend. "That was the reason Jessica seemed to be in a terrible mood in Paris."

Here's hoping their own fairy tale also has a happy ending. But we have our doubts. The reason? She is Jessica Alba and he is Cash Warren.

It's official. The Brit Split is a done deal.

Lawyers for both Britney Spears, 25, and Kevin Federline, 29, were present at a Los Angeles Superior court yesterday when a judge signed the papers that legally ended their marriage.

Commissioner Scott M. Gordon also granted Spears' request to seal the child custody agreement "for the interest in the safety of the children." Gordon granted the request temporarily pending a full hearing on August 14.

Britney Spears' lawyer, Laura Wasser told reporters, "The divorce is final. [Britney] is okay with the arrangement. She would like to be with the kids more. She said that. [She] thinks [Kevin Federline] would like that too."

But while today's decision allows the exes to continue with shared custody of their children, a source close to Kevin Federline says he may seek full custody.

"Mark Vincent Kaplan (K-Fed's lawyer) has been watching and monitoring Britney Spears' behavior very closely," says the source.

"There is a clause in the divorce so either parent can seek full custody and it is very possible that you will see Kaplan seeking full custody for Kevin as early as this week... he is concerned with Britney's erratic behavior and he needs to make sure his kids are protected. Britney Spears has not met benchmarks for sobriety as outlined in the agreement."

Britney Spears filed for divorce from Federline on November 7, 2006, after just two years of marriage. Citing "irreconcilable differences," she asked for both legal and physical custody of the children with visitation rights for FedEx within reason.

Federline and Spears' mom, Lynne Spears, threatened to take the couple's children in order to get Spears to go to rehab in February. During that period, the kids visited her regularly.

In March, Spears and Federline came to an out-of-court settlement which gave the couple shared custody of 22 month-old Sean Preston and 10 month-old Jayden James. Reportedly, the financial aspects of the breakup were simple due to an iron-clad prenup.

On her website in May, Spears told fans that "when [marriage] was gone... I did not know what to do with myself, and it made me so sad. I confess, I was so lost."

Given the events of last week - when Spears took Sean Preston and Jayden James to Vegas without the requisite permission from K-Fed, only to get involved in a scuffle between her bodyguard, Julio "JC" Camera, and the paparazzi - that's the understatement of the year.

Meanwhile, Laura Wasser is fighting to keep the terms of the agreement private, stating that if they aren't, the press has reason to "ascertain the whereabouts" of the children.

"Such information greatly increases the chances that the actions of the media could threaten the safety of the minor children by, for example, causing a traffic accident or by exposing the minor children to criminals who might target the children for financial gain," Wasser wrote.

So, someone is going to try to kidnap Jayden James is what she's implying. Sure. Like our man Julio Camera and Daimon Shippen are gonna let that happen.

It's been a tough week for guys hoping to ogle their favorite hotties naked.

First, pimp/father Joe Simpson announced there would be no Jessica Simpson nude in a porn star role anytime soon.

Now, it's Scarlett Johansson turning away a similar option.

Despite circulating reports and Jenna Jameson's hopes that the actress is just the right mix of sexy and mysterious, Scarlett Johansson will not play the porn star in the film adaptation of her autobiography. Possibly since she's not skinny enough?

"Scarlett has never seen a script nor been approached about this project," says her rep. "She also has no interest in playing this role."

Maybe Scarlett Johansson could be convinced? Sorry, but a body like that is just made for certain roles. Can't someone talk her into it? Anyway, moving on.

Speaking at the Comic Con convention in San Diego this weekend, Jenna Jameson, 33, said she was smitten with the 22-year-old Johansson after seeing her Golden Globe-nominated turn in the 2003 film Lost in Translation.

"I remember thinking to myself, this girl has such a sexuality without even really trying to be sexy," Jameson said. "I was like, ‘This girl could play me.'"

Though she has met Scarlett Johansson only briefly, Jameson said their encounter left an impression. "I love her," Jameson said. "She's amazing. She's smart, she's funny… stunning."

Jameson said it will be called Heartbreaker, based on Jameson's 2004 book, How to Make Love Like a Porn Star, in which she detailed her rise to stardom in the porn industry.

Casting is crucial, said Jenna Jameson, emphasizing that the film needs more than just a pretty face. You know what she's talking about.

"I don't want someone who's going to go in there and be like bouncing around," she said. "I want someone who can bring some depth."

Alas, the only screening Scarlett is going to make of this kind will be a private one, for reported beau Ryan Reynolds.

How risque Jenna's movie is remains to be seen. Asked if it will be explicit, Jameson said, "It has to be. Not because we want to draw fans. Because I want to tell the true story."

Obscure Office Space quotes aside, multiple sources have confirmed that their reality show, The Simple Life, will not be picked up next season by E!

Apparently, The Simple Life was still on the air. And was airing on E! Who knew.

A source says that the overexposure of Paris and Nicole - shockingly - is to blame for the show's cancellation.

"We felt like the real life drama of their lives overshadowed anything happening on the show," says the insider.

"Viewers would see Paris all day long on the news about her going to jail, so they didn't care about seeing her camping. It was played out."

The source adds that Nicole Richie - not the ho-tel heiress - also became increasingly difficult to work with last season.

"Paris actually carried the show. She was the one willing to do anything," says the source. "Nicole Richie was the diva."

According to one source, the show could get a second chance at life if another network decides to pick up the series (the show's first season debuted on Fox).

Somehow, we don't see it happening. It looks about as likely as Lindsay Lohan salvaging her movie career after her many rehab debacles.

On Friday, Richie, 25, was sentenced to four days in jail after pleading guilty to driving under the influence, her second DUI since 2003.

Paris Hilton, 26, served 23 days in jail last June for violating probation on a previous reckless driving conviction. Yeah, yeah. Yawn.

Ho-tel heiress Paris Hilton is out $60 million after her billionaire grandfather - appalled by years of disgusting actions and Paris' recent jail term - has nixed her inheritance.

Barron Hilton was already embarrassed by her wild behavior - notably when the Paris Hilton sex tape was leaked online - but her 23-day jail stint was the last straw.

"He was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the family name has been sullied by Paris Hilton," says Jerry Oppenheimer, who wrote a biography of the clan called House Of Hilton. "He now doesn't want to leave unearned wealth to his family."

The lesson here? A billionaire grandparent can only be subjected to so much Paris Hilton pussy before deciding there are far better uses for his personal fortune.

Barron Hilton, 79, senior, is the only member of the family left with a sizeable stake in the huge hotel chain. He has let it be known that he intends to donate to charity the $2.4 billion he will gain from this month's sale of the company to private equity firm Blackstone.

The money will go to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the charity set up in the name of the founder of the family business.

No word on whether Nicky Hilton still stands to inherit her $60 million, but after hearing the sad news, Paris shrugged her shoulders and continued making love to Tyler Atkins and other men while showing a general disregard for public safety.

Just kidding. But are we wrong? Doubtful. You know it's probably only a matter of time before she starts trying to sponge off of old pal Britney Spears.

Perhaps the stress of her non-wedding debacle got to Tameka Foster.

Citing a deluge of emails from readers in the Atlanta area - home to the baby-faced R&B god and music mogul we know as Usher - Perez Hilton reports that his 37-year-old, pregnant fiancee has been hospitalized since yesterday.

The speculation? Tameka Foster is in pre-term labor.

Local radio stations in Atlanta are reporting that Usher's future bride, who he almost married Saturday, has been at the hospital since mid-day Sunday.

Usher, 28, and Foster were supposed to wed Saturday, until it was abruptly called off - apparently for many reasons, some frivolous and others … slightly less frivolous.

But, with Britney cutting her trip short, Lynne stayed around and headed over to PURE with "a few friends, taking a spot on the VIP main stage."
