Where can't script reading and vehicular manslaughter take you these days?

According to Perez Hilton, both Audrina Patridge from The Hills and former singer turned reality star Brandy have signed on for Dancing With The Stars.

Derek Hough and Jennifer Grey Picture

The official announcement is scheduled for next Monday during Bachelor Pad.

The Bachelorette stars Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez are both rumored to be among the cast members for the coming season as well, but we'll see.

Also reportedly being considered? Cheryl Cole, Teresa Giudice and ... wait for it ... Vienna Girardi. Never doubt ABC's ability to recycle its reality stars.

The Hills are no longer alive ... but DWTS hopes are!

Audrina Patridge being cast wouldn't shock us at all. She's got nothing else going on these days and will look good in all the costumes, if nothing else.

Brandy, though? Really? The producers were close to getting this one right, but got their signals crossed and should have tapped her sibling instead:

Over the next few weeks, Fantasia Barrino has a new album and a new season of her reality show coming out.

For that reason, it's been hard for some people to not question the authenticity of her recent problems, which started with an accusation that she made a sex tape with a married man and climaxed with a hospitalization for a pill overdose.

But the former American Idol champion says she really did sink that low on August 9.

"I didn't have any fight in me. I didn't care about anything. I just wanted out," Fantasia tells VH1 in a new Behind the Music interview, which airs tomorrow, the same day her new CD comes out.

Continuing to defend her against accusations that this is all an orchestrated PR stunt, Barrino added:

"I just sat in the closet and looked at the mirror and took all the pills in the bottle. I wanted to go to sleep and just be at peace. I knew exactly what I was doing. You can't accidentally take a whole bottle of pills."

True. But you can ensure you'll be found before it's too late, as Fantasia did by texting manager Brian Dickens about 10 minutes after ingesting the pills.

Still, the singer - who reality show cameras have filmed alongside scandalous boyfriend Antwaun Cook over the last few days - insists she was upset when she awoke in the hospital and realized she was "still in this hellhole."

"I was tired of people doing me wrong, constantly, over and over again, dealing with my family – my father, dealing with men and their shit – I was tired," she says of the incident. "My head was hurting me. I was over it."

What do you think? Was the overdose truly a sign of Fantasia wanting to end her life? Or, we shudder to even think it, of her wanting to increase album sales and reality show ratings?

Vienna who?

That's what a doorman thought when the reigning winner of The Bachelor attempted to enter the Audi & Chopard Emmys kickoff party Sunday night at Cecconi's in West Hollywood. Vienna Girardi was turned away at the door.

A Vienna and Jake Pic

Dressed in jeans and a sweat suit-like top, the 24-year-old was told she wasn't on the list. The doorman told her they were "at capacity." No E-listers allowed!

To her credit, Girardi, who was briefly engaged to Jake Pavelka before moving on with John Sala, didn't whine about the rejection and took it all in stride.

She and a friend went outside and waited for their car to be retrieved from the valet, at which point they were approached by none other than Kathy Griffin.

"I told her that the After the Final Rose, or whatever that was, was riveting," Griffin later recalled to Us. "I stand by my statement that it was riveting."

"I said that it didn't matter if public opinion went her way, I was on her side. I'm not willing to wear a 'Team Vienna' T-shirt or warm-up suit, which she is in, or run a marathon on her behalf. However, it does appear that Jake would be a douche!"

Couldn't agree more, Kath. Well spoken. Your thoughts?

He's been called out by Sean Penn and legally denied by Haitian officials.

Still, Wyclef Jean refuses to give up on his bid to become the next President of Haiti.

A few days after an electoral board disqualified his nomination, the singer has released a statement saying he plans on fighting the ruling.

"After careful consideration and much soul-searching, I have made the decision to contest Haiti's board of elections' pronouncement stating that I am ineligible to run for the presidency of the country," Wyclef said. "I will be seeking a solution through legal channels, and I urge my countrymen to be patient through this process."

The former Fugees member confirmed he'll send a lawyer to a Haitian court Monday with documentation proving he's eligible to be a candidate.

Among the problems the country's electoral board have with his inclusion on the list of nominees is the fact that Wyclef's permanent address is listed as New Jersey. But Wyclef Tweeted yesterday:

"We have met all the requirements set by the laws. And the law must be respected."

The latter is certainly true. But the singer is in danger of making this election more about himself than about the ravaged nation from which he hails. He can do a great deal of good without running for President.

Now two-and-a-half years old, will Britney Spears' conservatorship ever end? It just might in the near future, but only if the pop star takes the initiative.

Created in February 2008, the conservatorship will continue unless she or her handlers file a petition to end it and there are no indications of that so far.

If she did ask to end it, the judge would have to satisfy herself that Britney Spears essentially was capable of making decisions for herself and her kids.

Debatable, to say the least.

However, the upcoming Glee guest star has made tremendous strides since her two involuntary hospitalizations and a judge would take that seriously.

Possibly Free Soon

She's even wearing a bra. Our girl has come so far!

That doesn't mean the conservatorship would just end, of course, but the judge would almost certainly re-evaluate it. Not no request has been made.

There are really two conservatorships, one over Britney's personal decisions and the other over the music superstar's financial and professional affairs.

She's shown no interest in terminating the latter. As for whether Britney wants to end the conservatorship over her personal life, that changes often.

She's expressed a lot of discontent over it in the past, however, dad Jamie Spears has given her a lot of freedom this year, so that has eased tensions.

Nevertheless ... whether she's able to handle it without the safety net is another story. We've seen signs of the crazy returning in the fairly recent past.

The former is a global sensation, one of the most popular recording artists on the planet.

The latter is best known for portraying the title character of a canceled ABC comedy.

On paper, this fashion face-off between Beyonce Knowles and America Ferrera should not be close, as all signs indicate a clear advantage for Mrs. Jay-Z.

But stranger things have happened. Who would have thought Spencer Pratt might release a Heidi Montag sex tape, for instance? Okay, terrible example.

Still, it's up to readers, not resumes, to decide the fate of these beauties. Compare, contrast and then vote below...

Dr. Conrad Murray is due in court for a hearing in his manslaughter today, and Michael Jackson fans with no apparent lives are going to be there in force.

An army of MJ fans are planning a protest, says a rep for Justice4MJ, the fan group planning the demonstration. Scores of Jackson fans plan to attend.

It's going down on the freeway overpass near the L.A. courthouse.

When the hearing for the late icon's embattled physician ends, the protesters plan to march from the courthouse, then quickly split for the overpasses as he exits.

HAVE A HEART: Protesters likely will not this afternoon.

They will thus bid Dr. Murray adieu as he drives off in less than friendly fashion, although we're guessing his potential jail sentence is a bigger concern.

What does Justice4MJ hope to accomplish here, honestly? What are we protesting? Murray, don't forget, was charged with involuntary manslaughter.

That is justice, is it not? Even Joe Jackson has said that fans should back off Murray, and if Joe Jackson is urging restraint ... well you get the idea.

Secrets aren't always no fun. Secrets don't always hurt someone.

Demi Lovato learned this lesson the hard way, as she's busy touring the country with The Jonas Brothers and promoting Camp Rock 2 - but all she hears are questions about her break-up with Joe Jonas.

"It's not very much fun when you break up in a public relationship. So, maybe next time keep a secret," she tells People magazine. "You want to shout it from the rooftops. That's what you do when you fall in love. At the same time, I learned my lesson. I'll go public when I marry someone one day."

Maturing Star

In the meantime, Demi says she's "perfectly happy" being single and continues to defend her ex from criticisms of how he handles a split, mostly stemming from his dumping of Taylor Swift.

"I know that he has the best intentions," Lovato says. "Definitely most guys don't have the same intentions that he does."

Demi turned 18 last week, readers, and it's not too late to wish this actress a very happy birthday.

The Mel Gibson-Oksana Grigorieva case is far from reaching a conclusion, according to several well-placed sources within the law-enforcement community.

L.A. County Sheriff's Department investigators are in "absolutely no rush" to formally turn the Mel Gibson case over to the L.A. County District Attorney.

In reality, TMZ reports, this is because the D.A. already has the case.

The official line from the Sheriff's Department was that the goal was to turn the case over to the D.A. by Tuesday. Tomorrow is still possible, however, they feel "no pressure" to hit that date and a source said, "It will get there when it gets there."

So ... don't hold your breath. Except for more Mel Gibson tapes.

Mel and Oksana: What a weird, twisted relationship.

Sources connected with the case say it really doesn't matter when the case is turned over from the police to the legal authorities, because the prosecutor assigned to the case is fully engaged in the process and already knows the deal.

Moreover, the D.A. will not make any decision on whether to file charges until the investigation into extortion allegations against Oksana Grigorieva ends.

That is reportedly not happening soon, and the D.A. will be treating both cases as a "package deal," and make filing decisions on both at the same time.

In the meantime, Oksana wants more child support.

Should Mel and/or Oksana face charges?

Co-parenting with your ex-fiance is no picnic. Just ask Bristol Palin.

Another teen mom, Teen Mom star Maci Bookout, knows this well.

Raising son Bentley with Ryan Edwards is so hard, "We barely speak," Maci says. "I don't think it's a bad thing. We just try to avoid arguments as much as possible."

Good luck with that. The former couple have sparred over child support, his new girlfriend, even pacifiers, which Ryan gives him after Maci wants to wean him off.

"He's just going to get [his pacifier] at Ryan's house," Bookout says. "I think Ryan spoils Bentley and really has no boundaries as far as discipline. With me, I don't want Bentley to grow up and be a brat when he's 4 years old."

The stars of Teen Mom have become famous, likely sparking widespread interest in more girls becoming teen moms so as to secure a new reality show.

The Chattanooga State student and waitress adds that her ex isn't much of a hands-on dad during Bentley's visits: "As far as Bentley getting fed, his diaper changed, taking a bath, it's mainly Ryan's mom doing all of that," Maci says.

She adds hopefully that Edwards' new girlfiend will "make Ryan want to grow as a father. I don't want him to find a girlfriend who just wants to party."

Meanwhile, Bentley has a new father figure in Kyle King, Maci Bookout's beau of six months: "It's weird to see [Bentley] loves Kyle enough that Kyle can make him feel better... I like that emotional support that comes with a partner."

Unfortunately for Farrah Abraham, she lost hers far too soon.
