TV Guide recently caught up with Ashley Tisdale and asked the young star about her career. Yes, fans, she talked about the upcoming High School Musical 3...

TVGuide.com: As you move from your album to now a new movie, They Came from Upstairs, what are your personal challenges?
Tisdale: I never find doing a movie challenging, except for the work. I miss my family, of course, and I miss friends and everything, but I find the work more challenging. I'm always up for a challenge.

TVGuide.com: With all your success, though, and the success of your HSM cast mates, there's added scrutiny, too. How have you seen the media coverage of yourself change over the years?
Tisdale: I don't really pay attention to the scrutiny. People are going to make up stories about you, and people are going to talk about what you did. But you know why you did it. What's most important to me is being known for what I do in my work. I really could care less about paparazzi following me all the time and seeing what I do everyday.

TVGuide.com: In the upcoming High School Musical 3, what can we expect from your character?
Tisdale: I don't know much, because I haven't read the script yet! But I have recorded the songs, so I do know a little bit about it. It is senior year, so there's going to be graduation and prom, but I can't spill much else.

TVGuide.com: How about the songs and music?
Tisdale: All the music is great. They're much bigger productions this time �" they're huge �" so it's going to be really exciting.

It's been a rough few weeks for Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford, who split with Carrie Underwood and endured online gossip about his sexuality.

Specifically, it was rumored that Chace and pal JC Chasez were lovers.

Lil' sis Candice Crawford says he's hanging in there though.

"He's doing okay through this whole ordeal," Candice said. "He was upset about the breakup. It's always hard when you lose a relationship."

Still, his sister added, don't expect to see Chace Crawford and the American Idol champ-turned country star moping around for long.

"Chace will get through it," Candice Crawford said. "We love Carrie, too. They're dolls and they'll both do well."

Candice Crawford is doing her best to distract her bummed-out brother. Next week, she'll compete in the Miss USA Pageant at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino - and Chace, 23, will be there in person to cheer her on.

"The whole family will be there rooting for me," Candice, a.k.a. Miss Missouri, said. "My mom made T-shirts and little pins for everyone."

To capture the crown April 11, Candice will have to impress judges such as Heather Mills, Joey Fatone, Rob Schneider and Christian Siriano.

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain took a minute on the campaign trail yesterday to comment on his latest celebrity endorser:

Heidi Montag.

"I'm honored to have Heidi's support and I want to assure her that I never miss an episode of The Hills, especially since the new season started," McCain told Time.

John McCain's comment comes just hours after Montag's endorsement of him on the website of Us Weekly. His publicist must really be on top of things.

"I'm voting for John McCain," Heidi Montag, 21, said, acknowledging that no one cares. "I'm a Republican and McCain has a lot of experience."

We know John McCain is a man of honesty and integrity, but does he really watch The Hills? This positively, absolutely cannot be true.

NOTE: We may have to vote for McCain if it is.

Britney Spears' former manager, Larry Rudolph, confirmed celebrity gossip that he recently met up with the troubled singer, who is his old friend.

Like many others who have spoken with Britney of late (since father Jamie stepped into her life), Larry Rudolph says she's "doing great."

"I have spent time with her, and she is on the right path because she has people around her who really care about her well-being," Rudolph said.

He would not comment further on Britney Spears, explaining, "this isn't the time to talk business. This is a time for healing." Good man.

Last week, a source reported that Britney Spears met with Larry Rudolph, who is credited for discovering her talent and managing her career for nine years.

They stopped talking last February after Britney sorta went bonkers and in turn blamed Larry for "forcing her" into rehab, when it he seemed he was one of the only ones in her inner circle trying to do anything to help her.

He was relieved of his duties shortly thereafter.

Rudolph did not turn his back on her, though, even remaining on the run to avoid testifying in her custody case when subpoenaed by Mark Vincent Kaplan.

Rudolph, who is not formally signed back on as Britney's manager, is currently producing the MTV show Rock the Cradle, which debuts April 3.

This would be adorable if it weren't so downright disgusting.

Hulk Hogan was seen frolicking around Miami Beach with new girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel earlier this week, which would be cute and all. Except for one thing:

McDaniel looks just like Hulk's daughter, Brooke Hogan. Moreover, the former wrestler is cradling Jennifer in this photo like, well, like one would cradle a baby.

Paging celebrity psychologist Dr. Drew Pinsky, Huk Hogan needs an appointment.

Ramiele Malubay became Ramiele Malu-BYE last night on American Idol.

The diminutive singer was voted off the show during an emotional evening. As soon as Ryan Seacrest announced her in the bottom three, Ramiele sat on a stool with tears in her eyes.

She was joined in the trio with the lowest number of votes by Kristy Lee Cook - who obnoxiously had made a "Kristy's Seat" sign to signify her unpopular standing on the show - and Brooke White, who was legitimately moved by the end of the night.

"I'm emotional for a variety of reasons," White told Seacrest while she hugged Ramiele and Kristy Lee. "We throw everything we have into this thing here at American Idol and then you watch that "Idol Gives Back" portion and you think, ‘Gosh, that's a whole other meaning of difficult and sad, and then Dolly comes out here and [sings her song] ‘Jesus & Gravity' and it was really amazing."

Have we mentioned lately how much we love Brooke?

We're also major fans of David Cook, who assured viewers his hospital visit from Tuesday night was not big deal.

"I'm cool. I'm not going anywhere," Cook said.

Neither is Kristy Lee, at least not this week.

That's one reality show each for Lauren Conrad's infamous ex-boyfriends!

The Hills' current hottie (and subject of LC's wrath), Brody Jenner, was overheard telling peeps that he was celebrating a new reality show, a testosterone-charged spin-off of The Hills, while partying at the hot L.A. nightclub Goa.

"Brody is in talks with MTV but the details  have not been confirmed," his rep said. Also set to star in the spinoff? Jenner's BFF Frankie Delgado!

No stranger to reality TV, Brody Jenner became a regular on The Hills last season as Spencer Pratt's friend - and love interest to Lauren Conrad ... who, let's face it, is the only reason we're talking about either of these two guys right now.

Brody also was on The Princes of Malibu, however, and has recently guested on E!'s Keeping up with the Kardashians. The reason for that? His dad, Olympic decathlon winner Bruce Jenner, is married to Kim Kardashian's mom.

Meanwhile, Lauren Conrad's other notorious former beau - on both The Hills and Laguna Beach - Jason Wahler, is also headed back to reality TV!

"We start filming in April. It'll be the real-life version of Entourage," Jason said, adding self-deprecatingly, "I've got a lot going on: auditions, movies, parties... It's not exactly the same as Entourage â€" I'm not making $10 million a movie!"

The show will air on VH1, supposedly, but when it does, don't expect to see a lot of Jason's Wahler's fiancée, Katja Decker-Sadowski.

"Most of my relationship will be private," the recovering alcoholic, who was arrested four times in four different states in 2007, says.

"I didn't want to make Newlyweds."

Whoa! Slow down there OK! Fans must consider the source of this story. As usual, our favorite celebrity news publication is stretching the truth.

"It looked like Britney had lost 15 pounds in four weeks," a source told OK! Magazine. That quote is the entire basis for the cover below.

Oh, and the picture of Britney looking so thin and youthful? It was taken five years ago. Yes, it was from a 2003 shoot with Glamour. Way to go OK!

Of course, we will give them this much - the bloat, the ratty hair and the puffy face, along with the pink wig and trademark vadge of courage - are all gone.

In their place? A slimmer, fresh-faced Britney Spears with a shiny smile on her face and (dare we say) some determination in her step!

So how did she do it?

"Britney's a pro at losing weight fast," a Britney Spears pal tells OK! "She can drop 7-10 pounds in just two weeks."

Well, at least Britney Spears has come a long way in three months.

Sources say Spears - who may be re-hiring manager Larry Rudolph - has given up old, unhealthy weight loss habits, like popping laxatives and diet pills.

The 5-foot-4 star has also replaced soda and fast food with five, smaller protein packed meals a day. Doing so has enabled her to shed pounds.

To complement her healthier eating habits, Britney works out regularly as well, although you probably won't jogging or pumping iron. The recovering pop star enjoys daily dance workouts at L.A.'s Millennium Dance Complex.

"I don't like to work out because my legs get bulky," Britney said in a past interview. "Dancing makes me leaner."

We're glad she's feeling better these days, we really are. Hey, she's gotta fit in that bridesmaid dress for Jamie Lynn Spears' wedding, right?

Rumor has it (pun... intended!) that aspiring actress and celebuspawn Rumer Willis has been crushing hard on young Dirt hunk Ryan Eggold.

"They went out for the first time a few weeks ago," a friend of Rumer Willis and Ryan Eggold tells celebrity news magazine Life & Style.

"They've been keeping it quiet, but he's definitely on her radar. They usually hang out at each other's houses," says the friend.

Thanks to family hook-ups, Rumer Willis will soon have a guest role on Miss Guided, a comedy series produced by Rumer's step-dad, Ashton Kutcher.

Remember Ashley Ferl, American Idol followers? She was the adorable/insane little girl who cried hysterically over Sanjaya during every one of his performances last season.

Well, it looks like Ferl is as fickle about who she cheers for as Lindsay Lohan is about who she sleeps with.

Last night, Ashley was in attendance at the show - and sobbed uncontrollably through the performance of Jason Castro. Looks like she just loves guys with weird hair.
