"I had such a great experience the last time I was on the show that I couldn't wait to come back," Britney Spears said in a statement.

"I was really looking forward to working with this cast and crew again. Everyone was so nice. Abby is going to have a lot of fun!"

The episode, "Everything Must Go," airs next Monday, May 12.

Work. Who needs it?!

Amy Winehouse has abandoned recording the theme to the latest James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, because the singer is "not ready to work."

That's according to her producer, Mark Ronson, who was responsible for much of Amy Winehouse's Grammy-winning album, Back to Black.

Ronson told Sky News that the two of them started work on the track for the upcoming Bond movie, but it would take "some miracle of science" to finish it, since Amy Winehouse is "not ready to record any music."

Music or no music, Winehouse's troubles with drugs, law enforcement and a rocky romance with jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil have kept her busy.

Police gave her a formal warning last week after she scuffled with two men during a raucous night - head-butting one man, kissing another, getting into a scuffle with a third, smoking drugs on the street and trashing a bar.

A week ago, Cristian de la Fuente  was in the hospital. Now, he and partner Cheryl Burke are in first place on Dancing with the Stars.

Following a combined score of 57 (out of a possible 60) for their tango and mambo, this pair took over the overall points lead on season six of the show. de la Fuente summed up his effort with a simple: "No pain, no mirror-ball trophy."

Lindsay Lohan - who began shooting her guest role on ABC's Ugly Betty on Saturday - has been earning rave reviews from the cast and crew.

"She was terrific - a pleasure," Ugly Betty creator Silvio Horta said. "She came in early and was very pleasant."

Maybe this is what Lilo needs to get back in the swing of work and turn her train wreck life around, a la Britney Spears on How I Met Your Mother.

On the America Ferrera-driven series, Horta says Lindsay Lohan will play Kimberly, "a queen bee girl who Betty went to high school with. They're going to run into each other. Kimberly's life has taken a turn for the worst."

Lindsay will return for five episodes next season, but first, Lohan's Ugly Betty character appears on this spring's May 22 season finale "in a flashback" dodge ball game:

"Kimberly is doing the picking, and it doesn't turn out well for Betty."

Hopefully, Ryan Piers Williams bucks this trend and picks America Ferrera for good one of these years. Get engaged, already!

After dating for more than a year, Scarlett Johansson is engaged to her boyfriend Ryan Reynolds, celebrity news sources have confirmed.

"They're both thrilled," Johansson's rep, Marcel Pariseau, said.

The hunky Ryan Reynolds, 31, is currently filming The Proposal (how appropriate) in and around Boston with Sandra Bullock.

He recently popped the question to Scarlett Johansson, 23.

There's no wedding date yet, but Johansson is expected to debut her engagement ring at Monday night's Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala in New York.

Britney Spears plans to personally attend a hearing Tuesday in a Los Angeles family court, a court spokesman has confirmed.

"It's a hearing to discuss the status of her case," said court rep Allan Parachini of the long-anticipated custody battle court date.

Asked if her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, would show up in person as well, his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan replied, "Kevin has been at every important hearing. I view Tuesday as an important hearing."

Britney Spears, 26, returned to Los Angeles Sunday night after flying to Kentwood, La., to attend a baby shower for her pregnant 17-year-old l'il sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, over the weekend.

The pantsless pop princess presently has monitored visitation rights with her sons, Sean Preston Federline, 2, and Jayden James Federline, 1, several times per week (including Mother's Day), but no overnight rights.

A report was completed by the ex-couple's child custody evaluator in recent weeks, which could heavily influence future visitation arrangements.

The pop star's father, Jamie Spears, and his lawyer, Andrew Wallet, remain in legal control of her affairs until at least a July 31 hearing.

In his first comments since being linked to numerous extramarital affairs last week, Roger Clemens acknowledged making "mistakes" in his personal life, apologizing to his family and the public in a prepared statement.

But, in case you were wondering, the seven-time Cy Young winner remained steadfast in his lies denials that he has used steroids or HGH.

"I know that many people want to know what I have to say about the recent articles in the media," Roger Clemens, who has four children with wife Debbie Clemens in the Houston area, told the Houston Chronicle.

Roger Clemens is alleged to have had an affair with Mindy McCready.

"Even though these articles contain many false accusations and mistakes, I need to say I have made mistakes in my personal life for which I am sorry. I have apologized to my family and apologize to my fans. Like everyone, I have flaws. I have sometimes made choices which have not been right," he said.

Clemens also addressed the notion that he may have started an improper relationship with country singer Mindy McCready when she was 15.

Miley's dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, told Oprah he had a special reason for naming her Destiny Hope Cyrus, which she legally ditched last week.

Miley Cyrus' destiny and hope were to legally be called Miley.

"I had this vision that it was her destiny to bring hope to the world," Billy Ray said.

"And as a baby, she just kept smiling all the time. So her name was Destiny Hope, but I started calling her Smiley. Then as you start talking to a baby, you start dropping the S's off the front end, and pretty soon Smiley became Miley."
