Randy Travis Arrested For Public Intoxication

Country singer Randy Travis, 52, has issued an apology after being arrested on a charge of public intoxication outside a North Texas church early yesterday morning.

Denton County sheriff’s spokesman Tom Reedy says police in the town of Sanger, Texas, arrested Travis after spotting a vehicle parked in front of a church.

They found an open bottle of wine and Travis smelling of alcohol.

Reedy says Travis, whose country hits include “Forever and Ever, Amen,” was brought to the Denton County jail about 1:30 a.m. and released six hours later.

Travis, who split with his wife-manager of 19 years Lib Hatcher in 2010, was let go after he was booked on the misdemeanor charge of public intoxication.

The singer, who lives in the small town of Tioga near Sanger, apologized in a statement “for what resulted following an evening of celebrating the Super Bowl.”

We can understand that feeling - it was a pretty great game, unless you're Gisele Bundchen - but no need to booze it up in the car outside a church, Randy.

Maria Menounos Loses Super Bowl Wager, Clothing

The New England Patriots lost to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XVLI on Sunday night.

But Maria Menounos gave Bostonians a reason to smile yesterday, fulfilling her end of a wager with fellow Extra correspondent AJ Calloway... by stripping down to a Giants-colored bikini while reporting in Times Square!

Fortunately for Menounos, a long-time Pats fan, it was an unseasonably warm day in The Big Apple, with temperatures hovering around 50. We assume they were even hotter in her immediate vicinity once the reporter's clothes came off.

The Bachelor Recap: Casey Shteamer Gets Busted, Courtney Robertson Gets Nude (Again)

Ben Flajnik may be the titular star of the ABC reality franchise, but this season of The Bachelor has been without a doubt the season of Courtney Robertson.

Week after week, the girl continues to cement her reputation as the best Bachelor villain of all time, while redefining the standards of human terribleness.

Okay, sorry. That was a bit harsh. Well, maybe.

Skinny-dipping is a tough act to follow, but Court is a tough girl to hold back when it comes to showing off her body. She's, like, a model after all y'know.

There was also a pretty big scandal involving Samantha, as The Bachelor spoilers (and the promos, and Chris Harrison) told us. How it that play out?

Join us for THG's official +/- Bachelor recap of week six ...

Casey Shteamer

Kacie B. got the first one-on-one date this season and after earning her second this week, looks more and more like a contender. She's nice. Plus 10.

Ben says this date - "surviving on a desert island" will show how they might work together in the future. Minus 60 for that recycled Bachelor platitude.

“Watching Ben cut into a coconut … it’s so hot,” Kacie says. Mmm. Plus 5.

She shares her high school history of anorexia and bulimia with Ben. Heavy topic and maybe too soon, but honest, courageous and forthright. Plus 12.

In the dreaded two-on-one date, Blakeley and Rachel go salsa dancing. Blakely pulls out all the tricks ... and we mean implied sexual favors. Plus 9.

Then she shows Ben a scrapbook of their love story, which is hilarious and kind of stalker-like as she never had real one-on-one time with Ben. Minus 11.

Rachel Trueheart (that's her name) gets the rose. Plus 8.

The Voice Recap: Fooled by Flash and Boobs?

The Voice came back strong in its Season 2 premiere after the Super Bowl and Monday's first two-hour installment of the season offered more of the same.

Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera are great. They take this seriously enough to make The Voice competitive but not so much that they forget to have fun, and the Blind Auditions are a hoot as a result.

From Cee Lo's glasses to Adam's prayer-like meditation while focusing on the audition, to Blake accusing the contestants of being "fooled by flash and boobs" (i.e. Christina earning some good prospects), the laughs were aplenty.

Each coach picked up two more talented team members Monday. Who was the best? Let's get down to business and see who was chosen by which judge/coach ...

Team Christina nabbed the first audition of the night in The Line, a country duo of Hailey and Leland from Nashville who chose Xtina over all three of the others.

Their version of "American Girl" was a four-chair turner:

Christina then scored Lindsey Pavao, who performed "Say Aah." Her unique tone impressed Christina, Cee Lo, and Blake, but Xtina beat them out again:

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion Recap, Part II: Let the Brandi Glanville Bashing Begin!

After last week's Part I, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion show continued with more drama last night as Brandi and Taylor join us for the full hour.

Let's recap it all with THG's +/- review!

Last week they took shots at Lisa but now it's time for Brandi Glanville bashing. We like Brandi. Yes, she's brash but she's also fun, entertaining, and says what she thinks to someone's face instead of behind their back. There's a concept.

No wonder she doesn't quite fit in with the Beverly Hills crowd. Plus 20.

Brandi in the House

Brandi hit the scene this season with high heels, no bra, and even on crutches she had legs that wouldn't quit. So being younger and prettier meant that she immediately made enemies and it was wonderful entertainment. Plus 10.

So Andy takes us back to Game Night where Kim and Kyle's mean sides came out and Brandi called Kyle a bitch and threatened to kill Kim. Ah, good times.

At least Kyle's owning her mean girl title that night so Plus 8.

Even Lisa admits she was mortified when she saw the actual footage. She backed Kyle but hadn't known how she acted.

But Kyle's quick to backtrack when Brandi calls her on hiding her crutches. She didn't do it, her sister did. Yeah, but she still walked off leaving Brandi sitting there not knowing where her crutches were.

That was simply childish and she's not owning up to that one. Minus 10.

Jeffrey Fraza, Boxer Who Appeared on The Contender, Killed By Train

Jeffrey Fraza, a struggling boxer who competed on the reality show The Contender in 2005 and was looking to make a comeback, was killed in tragic fashion this week.

He was struck by an empty train on the commuter tracks in Haverhill, Mass.

"He was a great kid. I love him like a brother. I'm kind of in shock," trainer Micky Ward, the retired pro played by Mark Wahlberg in The Fighter, told the Boston Herald.

"He was going to try to make another run at it. It's just a shame."

Fraza

Was Fraza's death an accident? The case remains under investigation, but according to his friends, Fraza walked those train tracks in his hometown regularly.

And though he struggled recently after being diagnosed with Chron's disease, which causes inflammation of the digestive tract, many believe it was an accident.

"He was a good man," ex-girlfriend Sylvia Pastrana said.

"He was training little kids at the Haverhill Boxing Club," said Pastrana, who lived nearby with their 14-year-old son, Antonio. "He was fine and he was in good spirits."

Per the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, Fraza was on his cell phone when he was struck near Hale Street by a train inbound to Boston.

He was found dead at the scene at 1:24 a.m. R.I.P.

Chrysler Super Bowl Commercial Controversy: An Ad for Obama?

GLADD wants Roland Martin to be fired for his comments related to the David Beckham H&M commercial that aired during last night's Super Bowl.

Conversely, Karl Rove and a few other Republicans are afraid that a different Super Bowl ad was created with the aim of getting President Barack Obama rehired.

The spot in question is narrated by Clint Eastwood and touts both Chrysler and the turnaround of the auto industry in Detroit, with the actor saying via voiceover: It’s “halftime in America and our second half’s about to begin."

Might this be a veiled reference to a second term for Obama?

Rove believes so, pointing to Eastwood's claim that Detroit "almost lost everything, but we all pulled together" and "now Motor City is fighting again" as support for the administration's bailout of various companies in the area.

“I was, frankly, offended by it,” Karl Rove told Fox News this morning. “I'm a huge fan of Clint Eastwood, I thought it was an extremely well-done ad, but it is a sign of what happens when you have Chicago-style politics, and the president of the United States and his political minions are, in essence, using our tax dollars to buy corporate advertising.”

Should Roland Martin Be Fired for David Beckham Underwear Ad Tweets?

Exposed body parts from the Super Bowl continue to stir up controversy across the Internet.

With M.I.A.'s immature finger flip causing both NBC and the NFL to apologize, GLADD is now up in arms over comments made last night by CNN contributor Roland Martin.

While watching the Giants victory over the Patriots, Martin Tweeted the following in response to David Beckham's underwear ad for H&M (below):

Roland Martin Tweet

GLADD noticed and wrote back: "Advocates of gay bashing have no place at CNN," to which Martin then replied:

"You're clearly out of touch and clueless with what I tweeted. Way to assume, but you're way off base."

The gay rights organization has since sent around an online petition that pushes for to Martin be fired. It has collected approximately 2,000 signatures so far.

What do you think of Martin's comments? Homophobic? Or just lame and unfunny? Should he be fired?

Yes, he crossed a line!
No, it was just a joke!

Jessica Simpson, Huge Boobs Attend Super Bowl

She may not have been dating one of the game's starting quarterbacks, but Jessica Simpson still made her presence felt at last night's Super Bowl.

The pregnant singer Tweeted a photo of herself and a friend from their box at Lucas Oil Stadium, showing off her ample.... rooting interest in the following Twit pic:

Jessica Simpson Twit Pic

Earlier in the week, Jessica had explained her support of the Patriots by saying fiance Eric Johnson was from Boston and: "I'm a Cowboys fan, so I cannot root for the Giants!"

Fair enough. But we all know why Simpson is a Cowboys fan, right? Not sure if Johnson would really want to hear that.

PTC Blames NBC, NFL for M.I.A. Halftime Bird

You won't believe this, but the Parents Television Council (PTC) has something to say about the bird that M.I.A. flipped during last night's Super Bowl halftime show.

As previously reported and depicted, this rapper aimed her middle finger directly at a NBC camera during her brief time on stage with Madonna, an act that resulted in both the network and the NFL issuing an apology.

But the PTC has now released its own statement, coming down on the league for promising a clean show.

“NBC fumbled and the NFL lied because a performer known as M.I.A. felt it necessary to flip off millions of families,” wrote PTC president Tim Winter. “It is unfortunate that a spectacular sporting event was overshadowed once again by broadcasting the selfish acts of a desperate performer.

"Last week the NFL formally told the PTC – and the American public – that the Super Bowl halftime show would be ‘appropriate.’ Most families would agree that the middle finger aimed directly at them is not appropriate, especially during the most-watched television event of the year.”
