What’s the Difference Between In Touch and Life & Style?
Is Richard Spencer’s double duty at In Touch and Life & Style costing the two Bauer tabloids their singular identities? Critics are quick to say “absolutely.” Naturally!
Not only are both magazines running very similar content and storylines, but there are also instances of the weeklies having their cake and inhaling it too, by supporting a celeb in one rag and trashing him in the other.
“They’re definitely trying to have it both ways,” says one veteran staffer at a competing tabloid. And when they run “what’s basically the same story in both magazines, they look cheap.”

Richard Spencer is “confused by that critique,” he tells us. “The two magazines should never be different …but they should never be the same?”
He continues: “I think if you look at all celeb magazines — and read them one after another — you will find a lot of the same stories because no title should be incomplete on breaking news…we all should report on Jake and Reese getting cozy in public…Pam Anderson getting married etc… In regard to Usher, one story was about a birthday, one was about a honeymoon….in regard to Ben Affleck IN TOUCH mentioned there were reports that Ben had been seen drinking again…but his overall behavior in the past few years has been quite a transformation.
“If LIFE AND STYLE feels more like IN TOUCH — that can only be a good thing — considering the magazine’s news power — but the style content alone makes the two titles vastly different.”
Mr. Spencer is a lot smarter than the dipshits running the other mags - and for a fraction of the salary of Min & Fuller …
good piece. i was wondering if someone would pick up on this. it’s a complete conflict of interest to have Richard “edit” both. Giving his comments it sounds like he’s being doing some “boozing.”
I THINK “IN TOUCH” IT’S BETTER THAN THE OTHER ONE, THE ARTICLES ARE BETTER EDITED…
they are both full of ca ca.
