The only thing wrong with this picture is that she is not topless, like Christ was. Get over it Frenchys.

  2. John

Mocking a religion is not acceptable in today's world, and Miss France should know it. But lying on the application form to the pagent committee is not a marginal issue-- she knew what she was doing and is not reaping the consequences of her actions.

  3. sal

Sorry Peter. But you proved me right in your words. "You are wrong" (oh but we can't judge).

You made a judgment Peter by saying I was wrong. Or can you not see that?

Either you're wrong or a hypocrite. Which one is it?

  4. Gregg

Not very smart insulting someone who gave his life for her....

  5. Mike

    That's news???

  6. xravisn

My pet pig Mohammad is offended as hell

  7. ram

A very bad girl . Did i say i love bad girls????

  8. Have a little faith

Could anyone show me where it says in the bible we can't pose on a cross? How can we say she mocks christian faith? Does she do anything offending? People go to jerusalem each year to follow in his last steps. Even having part of the cross stapped on them. Must be offending too.

And there was a time christians stood up for their faith, and millions were killed. Think about the inquisition in Europe in the middle ages and the 'promotion' champain in other countries like south america. How many people did christians kill there? Yes christians (including me) should be very proud of that. Killing in the name of religion, anyone remember what happend to jesus?

  9. mykol

Those who start their comments with, "I'm a Catholic..." and then go on to prove by their words that they are not, are just as offensive to me as this photo.

  10. Christopher

I see a girl proclaiming her faith.

  11. Brooke

She is not making fun of religion, she's making fun of society. We worship beautiful people like they are some sort of god. If you don't like it, don't look at it.

  12. Charles Schoch

The vertical line is a break point painted on the bottom of the pool. The horizontal line under her wrists and head is some type of floating device. I wonder if this photo was intentional or just happened this way. Either way, as a Christian, I take no offence.

  13. Peter

I swear I'll shut up after this, but Sal, you are wrong. The words are meant to say that no one, not you, not me, not anyone but God has the right to judge others. And that is my opinion...so I won't judge you for it....but USA RULES is still an idiot, if only for the name he/she chose.

  14. Peter

And USA RULES is a complete idiot.

  15. Peter

    And

  16. Peter

This is pathetic. I am a Christian as well, but I feel very confident that Christ would look at this and say that there is far more important things in this world. Who cares what this woman does...or does "Judge not, lest you be judged" no longer apply to modern day Chiristians? Get a life.

  17. Lorenzo Furioso

I consider myself a devout Catholic, and I am certainly inclined towards forgiveness in this overblown matter. If it is true that the girl did the photos before becoming Miss France, and that she feels badly for doing something insulting and in very poor taste (something many of us sinners have been guilty of) I think she should be able to keep her crown. This does not seem like a calculated attack on Christianity, but an episode of bad judgement. The foundation of the Faith is forgiveness. Don't strip (pardon the pun) the lass of her accomplishment. Why create resentment instead of an exapmle of goodness towards her? Gppd heavens, this reminds me of "The Scarlet Letter" which I am presently teaching to my high school juniors!

  18. Long John

Who Cares about that Cross, I'd like to hit that Ass!

  19. Shannon

I find the picture truly beautiful art.. I'm a Christian and I'm not offended. She's very beautiful and it is very modest.. Leave her alone, let her keep her crown.. Too many Haters!
Merry Christmas and a blessed day to you all =)

  20. USA RULES

YOU people are idiot's she is representing France as thier model female hottie/socialite/paris hilton type , of course she is in trouble she took the job as Ms France now she should live up to her countries expectation's
maybe she should go surender to some one or raise a white flag then she would be continuing her countries tradition's!

  21. cj bransum

She has done nothing wrong. Leave the girl alone.

  22. Huckabee says...

C'mon.. its obviously a bookshelf behind her. ;)

    Darren,
You are misquoting Christ's Words. I suggest you go back and read the entire passage.

The true teaching of that passage is to see clearly before you make a judgment. That is apparent when He said "remove the beam from your eye, then you may see clearly to remove the mote from your brother's eye" Matt 7:1-5
That is indicating that there will be a time when we must make a judgment. The above scriptures are warning to be careful and to not be a hypocrite when you do make judgments.

Judgments must be made in order to uphold standards. Christianity is about judging what is right and wrong according to scripture.

So, when people say that Christians are judgmental, they are half correct.
The truth is that God is jugmental. He explains what His judgments are in His Holy Bible. Christians only point out what those judgments are.

You might not realize it, but you made a judgment when you implied that we cannot judge her for what she has done. So, you are judging tha

  25. Darren

Lol, to all you photoshop slueths, you were right. It is a photoshoped picture.

Oh, and since everyone is throwing around quotes so much, I'll add my own.

"Judge not lest ye be not judged"
