Possibly it is the angle of the sun that has caused the top of the cross to go under the bottom. Like her arms looking saggy..
just a guess.

well first off God bless everyone...!!!and second off anyone who thinks this picture is controvercial.. doesn't know much about Christ or his Message..which is love thy niebor as your self.. and severall other wonderfull messges.. if anyhting liek everyone has said this is a Beautifull picture if anything .she is promoting Christ wich is always an amazing and wondefull thing to keep in your heart and remember what Christ has done for us.. paved the way.. and reminded us to have a relationship with the father just as he did.. and our life will be filled..more people need to stand in the gap on behalf of our nation and all the horrable caos happening ..leading and guiding more people to a relationship with God is the most important .. and everyones responseability..to help and guide those who are misgiuded .. and bring them to the truth.. about sin..sinns.. and how our lives are more then flesh and blood .. but spirituall..if any man lust after a woman in his heart he has already commited adultery if that doesn't cut down every man . or woman inhalf..Jesus spoke o fthe truth .. he spoke of how we speak with God and what it means to have a God :a conscience.remember everyone.. Christ gave his life ..and offer himself up as a n atonement for evryones sinns.. a complete and wondefull selfless act .. so no man can Boast ..When was the last time you were in Gods glory and spread his messge of love ..commit ourselves to God believe in Christ and we shall be under his atonement.. pretty easy hu... well just remember as well God knows our hearts.. if you listen you can hear others as well .. till next time

I'm sorry Jeffrey, but Christ was all about controvercy. Why do you think He got nailed to that cross? All the religious people didn't like what he was saying. He wasn't about tolerance, He was about love...He was Love. They are two different things. I can love someone, but that doesn't mean I have to tolerate them wronging me or other people. And, it is not easy to be commited to God...it is hard...He said it would be hard, but the reward is eternal and I am in it for the long haul. You say a lot and nothing at all all at the same time. If Christians are ever going to show the world we have something they need, we need to cut the crap and get real.

I feel bad for her. Taking the time to seriously mock any faith (for art's sake, to make a point, etc) makes me wonder what her beef is with Jesus, and where the darkness in her heart comes from. She just better be happy she mocked him and not Mohammed or her life would be in danger. From the posts here, I can see there is a secular liberal contingent whose vehement hatred of Christians and Christ defines their very being. You need to learn to love all, Jesus is not your Enemy.

This photo has been PhotoShopped. Look at the shadow of the top of the cross. The pattern repeats. She may have not meant anything by it, but when you are in the eye of the public you have to watch what you say or do.

While it may not offend many of us, we do have to think of all of the Christians/Catholics who it may offend. Luckily, we live in civilized nations where rioting and beheadings won't occur because of this picture, just the removal of a beauty contest title. For that, I am definitely thankful.

How many times have we seen Madonna use religious symbols in her business? She would claim it is her right to artistic expression, and she makes millions from it.
I see nothing about this photo mocking religion. I am disappointed. I was hoping to see someone mock it, 'cos I think all religions deserve a hell of a lot more criticism.

Kelly- This was my post from earlier.....Madonna, not a good example in this situation for freedom of expression. She was shut down over this very thing. If you recall, Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, and Jewish leaders alike (yes, I did say alilke) all were quick to say that the Queen of Pop's stage stunt where she put hersef on a cross was blasphemy. The head of Italy's Muslim League said, "…her idea is in the worst taste and she'd do better to go home." I am a Protestant Christian, but I am smart enough to know that good Muslims, Jews, and Christians alike know this is insulting and was in bad taste.
