Valerie Begue Photo
Valerie Begue may lose her title as Miss France. Why? Photos like this, in which she is posing like some sort of Christ figure. Or Christ Himself. Valerie Begue, you are crazy, baby.

honestly, writing the truth here will not set you free, but bring up debate.
if she doesn't want to respect the symbol of the cross, let her. it's her decision and her free will.
if you believe in God, you believe that he still loves her and God created her free will. so just respect it. you don't have to agree with it, nor control everyone into believing the way you do.
because that is wrong and that completely contradicts what is written of Christ, as well as his teachings.
Christ spoke about love and honor and respect, this includes honor and respect to other's free wills and decisions.

Although this is in poor taste and may be offensive to a "particular" religion (ie. Christian), she is not naked or revealing anything. I guess she felt like she had to "prove something" and now she is being "persecuted" by the media...hey, the picture fits the "crime". Oh, please people, get a life.

Imagine if she was to be nailed on a cross....would she be smiling as she is doing in the water pretending to be nailed on the cross? ...hell no... she'd be praying for death instead.
Anyway it doesn't cost a thing to be an idiot

Lord Jesus said: "He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her."
I pray our Lord Jesus to forgive here, and forgive us all.

um, i found this page by accident after googling crucifixion photos. it is mind boggling seeing how many of you wasted time in your lives arguing over such a lame topic. do you have lives? my only motivation to comment is to mock all of you who are passionately debating something so trivial. seriously, grow up and get a job or something. and dont bother mocking me, i have a life and i wont be back on this page to see your comments.

Hi Leah,
Good post. I think these days, people only repeat what they hear and don't think for themselves most of the time.
Like you said, the points made no sense. But, somehow, people rationalize that in their mind because of bitterness and hatred.
I hope you had a happy new year. I have 2 weeks left in Iraq and will finally be able to see my daughter again.
Thank you for your support. It means alot to us.
You probably have the strength, to do what we do...it is in all of us. We just need the right situations to cultivate it.
On a side note, you talk about being raised Catholic and not being the best Christian. Your heart is in the right place and you just need a point in the right direction to make a better decision on your faith.
I used to be Catholic, but I converted to Christianity because of all the contradictions the Catholic church practices against what the bible teaches.

It is funny how the world is getting so relax, not caring for your neighbor. But when Christ comes back soon, how will they be then? Tia's comment on Dec. 22nd touches my heart more than this article on Valerie Begue but my prayers go out for her.

Madslw -
You must be assuming a couple of things with your post..
1 - that ALL Christians are Catholic.
2 - that EVERY Catholic priest is a child abuser.
I may not be the "best" Christian, but I was raised Catholic and I have known and continue to know many wonderful priests. You want to blame the actions of some on the entire church...I agree with Sal - that's sort of asinine don't cha think?? Obviously the majority of people were outraged when all the "dirty laundry" (for lack of a better term) was aired about the Catholic church, but I fail to understand the logic of saying that as Catholics people shouldn't be offended by this picture because of what some priests did....it makes NO SENSE. Just because I'm not offended by it doesn't mean that the picture isn't offensive to other people, and when someone has to resort to childish banter (well the priests did this so you can't do that) their arguement becomes pathetic.
Sal - I truly hope you make it home safely and
