I was very sorry to hear about Stanley Kamel's death. He was such an important part of my very favorite show, Monk. I don't know how they are going to handle this tragedy in the storyline. He will be extremely missed.

  2. linda Says:

so young a man to be lost to the entertainment scene, but he will live on in the films. i must admit, i only knew him from monk. i thoroughly looked forward to seeing those scenes, so quiet and confident.

  3. Nanci Says:

How saddened I am to hear of Stanley Kamel's passing. My sympathies to his family, the Monk show family, and his friends. His role was a great part of that brilliantly written, marvelously acted show. He will surely be missed by Monk fans like me.

  4. Peanut (Ms. Monk) Says:

I found a perfect replacement, if it could Be...

Udo Kier played Morgan Walker in Rob Zombie's /Halloween/, and was the Baron in Andy Warhol's Frankenstein. Just Google Udo Kier and see for yourself.

He could be Dr. Kramer's older brother, or father, who Monk would meet at the funeral... it would be a reasonably smooth transition...

Anyway, the thought occurred to me... And yes, I remembered Udo Kier from Andy Warhol's Frankenstein!

Meanwhile, my husband & I will miss Dr. Kramer as much as anyone will :^(

    Monk (& Natalie) 4 Ever!

  5. Peanut Again Says:

    Sorry about that.

    Multitasking is bad sometimes...

Of course I meant "Dr. KROGER" and "whom" Monk would meet...

    Sorry about that.

It's still a really good idea, though, don't you think?

Udo Kier looks more like Dr. Kroger's brother (so it's still "Dr. Kroger") than John Turturro looks like Adrian Monk's brother.

    Comments?

And of course, we both apologize for glomming on a Stanley Kamel page, but where else can anyone talk about this?

    Us.

I grew up in the same town as Stanley. Our mothers knew each other. So it was natural that my sister and I started a fan club for him. I was sorry to hear of his death.

  13. Tim Says:

Funny how the comments stop ... it is now like he never existed except for the television series. Guess what, folks, he was just like ALL OF YOU. He lived, he was. Just like you. You don't think he read other people's obits with regret? JUST LIKE YOU. And one day YOU will die. Honest, you will. And more than likely not by a nice clean heart attack like his. You should be so lucky. Over 80% of people die screaming with blood, pain and fear. I wonder how you will feel when people write this kind of crap about you? His TV series? Last thing on his mind. His relationships with other people was foremost, aside from breathing one more time. Oh yeah, by the way, there is an afterlife, so stop and use your head.

I still am amazed how you people think you breathe forever. Get real.
