let me tell you about John Edwards. Big Tobacco Lawsuit = MONEY. Money = votes. End of story. He's a low life, that sued the tobacco companies and cashed a huge check. That is it. He put himself up and played on the countries emotions for VP and pandered to us. He's an attorney, that is what he does. Takes the info, twists it around, and says look at poor me, I have sinned and am so sorry. No he's not. His wife should divorce him, take all that money, give it to cancer research, and make him pay the largest child support payments in history. They live off blood money paid for by the tobacco industry who got it from addicting people to nicotine knowing it will kill you. If he really had any honesty or integrity, the money he was paid should have gone to cancer research and then maybe someone would look lighty on his infidelity as a moment of weekness, instead of bringing shame on his family.

Don't you get it? All of this "taboid" stuff is blackmail material. If Clinton could have kept his meanderings quiet by giving a contract to a specific company, he would have. That's the problem with this crap. What if a foreign gov't wanted to blackmail the President with this stuff? Many politicians have the "I'm better than you" attitude. They deserve all they get.

I don't think I've ever been so disappointed. I was sucked into believing that he and his wife had such a great relationship and that he was such a supportive and caring husband...now I find out he's in the same "class" of men and Newt Gingrich! Senator Edwards,how sad I am to know this about you.

There are three driving forces in a man's life: money, power and sex. John Edwards has achieved the first two. He was bereft of the last one. Not to condone his actions, he simply succumbed to one of the most basic and primal urges - to spread his seed as much as possible. This urge knows no conscience. At least he could have been more discriminating.

I obviously have more respect for my husband than you do "your man". I feel very badly for you that you feel your relationship is so fragile that if you could not have sex, you'd allow him to cheat--or encourage it. You deserve so much better, and I hope you'll find it. There ARE men who are REAL men. Maybe you should suggest he attend "Promise Keepers". I think high expectations are important--my man is human, not animal....

What a heartbreaking commentary. Edwards damaged the entire presidential campaign. He took up valuable votes from his trusting followers. Had they known what a shyster Edwards was they would have probably voted for Hillary. Of course this would have changed the entire outcome of the race.
Shame on you John Edwards, you are not only a lousy husband and father, but you're a pathetic excuse for an American.
I feel so sorry for Elizabeth, and the children. What kind of man has a relationship with that mess (she's a walking fruitcake) of a woman when he has such a beautiful (inside and out) wife and family at home? The family has been through so much with Elizabeth's health, and the death of their son, it is just unimaginable that John Edwards could be such a selfish, thoughtless person....
I always wonder if these mistresses are so good that you're willing to give up everything for them. The funny thing is everything I'm reading the mistress is saying, "I love him" and he's saying, "I don't love her". So nobody wins on this one.
