Interesting how fast the condemnation comes - and probably appropriate. But, let's look at a couple others who get no condemnation.....Newt Gingrich. This SOB went into his wife's hospital room after she had her mastectomy for cancer and told her he was divorcing her.

And - the biggee -- John McCain was chasing his hot young future wife while still married. Notice the first Mrs. McCain doesn't do interviews???

  2. Bec

Elizabeth Edwards' breast cancer is incurable. She has a limited amount of time to live. I was an Edwards supporter, even met him last year in Chicago at a fundraiser. We talked about our spouses' cancers.
My husband also has incurable cancer. We have had our share of problems over 25 years, but I would never dream of cheating on him.
Elizabeth Edwards will have difficulty enjoying the rest of her life thanks to her scumbag husband. John Edwards is the lowest of the low... I hope the shame eats him alive. Those poor kids...

Frank (the German): It's ashame you read these entries and feel that way about the people here in the U.S. Trust me, we are all not like that. I read through the comments and see why you got that impression. There are good people w/good morals in the U.S.

Michaelfla: I agree with you totally! Good job!!

  4. Mike

What's the problem with this American obsession with marital infidelity. So he had a fling: Big Deal. Isn't it natural people are attracted to non-spouses over the marriage span?

One simply has to wonder why pornography is such a big thing in USA - and Saudi Arabia.

  5. ol faithful

lets think outside the box. Her face may resemble a Labradore. But let us speculate that her sn..h might resemble a rose blossom awaiting pollination.

  6. John

    I have only one question...

How many of us out there have the perfect closet and have NEVER committed a crime, a sin, or something that you were never ashamed of?

    End of discussion...

  7. Michaelfla

Oh the lot of us!... How easy to spew words like ugly, whore, sugar-daddy-seeking-woman and worse... Here's what you do before sending in comments like that... Stand in front of a full-sized mirror... take a good hard look at yourself, think HARD about the times you "borrowed" that staple remover from the office, that ream of paper... the time you called in sick and weren't...ahhh, you know what I mean... think hard... there's gotta be something (even if it takes you back to your childhood when you played "show me yours and I'll show you mine"...oooohhhh)... You get the idea... THEN maybe you'll refrain from being so judgemental and let God (or call it Karma if you will) run their course and if his wife and family has forgiven him then, so be it... Who are we to judge? You'll be grateful... less stress on your ticker!

i am glad that bitch lost the race. how could one cheat a sick wife? only a bitch would do such an unthinkable crime. this baster should be hang to death. shame on u Edward, u looser

  9. kevin

It was probably a 'Beautiful Thing'! She was intoxicated with his ideas and the power of the moment. He was intoxicated with their mutual attraction and her intelligent conversation and passionate interest in his ideas and his powerful demeanor. He felt larger than life, in more ways than one.
And then they were upon each other in an unstoppable, heated sexual and heavenly embrace. Oh, God was it good and was it right!
At least it seemed so at the time. But...
Then they both figured it out and John told Elizabeth and that was that. Leave it alone. Don't make something dirty out of something that was probably very beautiful, at least at the start. Sex is the 'fools Gold' of 'Love'.
They were fooled. They are only human.

Well, at least he didn't lie about weapons of mass destruction, enact fiscal policies that lead to the downward spiral of the value of the dollar, or other things that personally affect me. I really do not care what he does in private. I don't care what any politician does in private as long as they at least act like they are protecting my civil liberties, try to hold the economy together, and defend us from our enemies.

  11. DH

    Dear all you holier-than-thous-oh-what-a-bastard/bitch.
You never had an affair and kept it secret? NEVER cheated?
The overwhelming majority of you have doe the same

  12. Jeff

Gods, what a pig, at least if your going to cheat on your wife, do it with something that looks at least human. Shame on you Mr. Edwards, your such a sleaze, liar and pig, you have a wonderful, classy, beautiful wife and you just have to go have sex with that thing? You should vanish from public life, never show your face on TV or in a paper again, and thank god your wife dont cut your pathetic wanker off with a dull knife.

  13. John

Should this really shock anyone? I mean, think about it. The guy's a friggin LAWYER! He's ONE notch above a Child Molester, in my book.
If there is a Hell, John Edwards will be there. And he'll see a LOT of familiar faces! Because, Hell will be FULL of Lawyers and Politicians!

  14. terrie

    Krystal,

You must be a young girl brainwashed by men. There is no excuse, esp. when you are married.

Men his age are not as sex driven as an 18 y.o. boy, and I assume if his drive WAS up, that he has two other options- left and right. He;s a grown man, not a child.

I think men in these positions are so full of a high from being powerful that they in the deep recesses of their brains they think they are "entitled".

  15. terrie

She can add her name to the long list of tramps that sleep with married men, then cash in. She can put her name at the top, since Elizabeth was suffering from cancer.

This is a GROSS human being

C'mon you guys, especiall you women. Men need it. I know he loves his wife, but you cannot expect a man to not go without it. it defies nature! women, take care of your men. do not be shy about it. this will keep them around.
if i ever get sick and cannot take care of my man, as much as it hurts, i would have to give him my blessings."

Yeah, right. That's what Bobbits wife said to him before they were married.

What is with you people...it was sex between two consenting adults. For christ sakes...in Europe you don't get elected to office unless you have a mistress. Heck when Mitterand died his mistress and his wife stood next to each other at his funeral. Chill out all you Puritans....we don't burn people at the stake anymore.

  18. Frank

I just can´t stop my head from shaking. What do they put into your drinking water? Someones in your way? Well, blow his brain out... noone cares. But never get caught cheating on your wife! They will stone you to death! Guess thats the best advice you can give to your children if you want them to survive in the land of the free.
I´m a german who got on this site by accident... and i don´t know much about MR Edward. But all this cant i just read is to much for me to take. Take care of your murderers before you judge your failed lovers. All i can hope is, that this site isn´t representiv for the majority of you. Also i´m afraid it might be. May god bless you. And much more than that... may he open your eyes to the real bad things going on in this world, which you are deeply involved into. Until its clear what it was, that has soaked your braines, no more burgers and coke for me please.

  19. TRC

Perhaps she can suck a golf ball through a garden hose?

  20. Yourkidding

NoOne is true to their partner? Are you kidding me. I know for a fact that I am faithful to my partner. I've been hit on a time or two and I find it easy to say "Thanks but no thanks" I guess that makes me odd.

  21. Mike

Damn! That sure is an ugly woman! If you are going to flush your life down the toilet by having an affair with a woman, at least pick one that is attractive!

A horse is a horse, of course, of course...

  22. kevin

i never trusted the guy. he always
    seemed to be the opportunist-carpetbagger
    type. $400 haircuts, and a fake-southern
accent. now there's evidence of 'why' i
shouldn't have trusted him. there are lies
and there are lies. this was a big one and
there could be more! his wife is the real
hero. he's a d-bag. he really is. and
he could have been the next atty-gen!!!

  23. Kenneth Kramer

You folks need to lighten up! C'mon, Ms. Hunter has nice teeth, a good-looking face, and beautiful hair - she worked on Mr. Edward's campaign staff; pleasing the boss is important when you're an underling.

  24. Sambujang Jammeh

    HEEEERE'S JOHNNY!

Unlike Eileen, I must say that I'm happily disappointed by Johnny Edwards. It somehow gives a sense of Justice existing in the world to know that those $400 haircuts led to something, even if that something is a walking abomination in a bad blonde wig. Johnny is a funny guy, a real comic talent. Pity that he can't be part of the Barry and Johnny show now, though Barry "Snake Oil Merchant" Obama has about as much moral standing as our $400 haircut man Jackie Edwards.

  25. jon

Why do people care so much, about everyone else's private lives? This society has become just crazy.
I could care less if someone has had an affair... and while I value honesty & integrity, I could care less that someone would lie to the public media, about a private affair.
It is none of anyone's business.
