According to The New York Post, Miley Cyrus ought to be ashamed of herself for her Vanity Fair photo spread. The actress has apologized for the racy photos, saying she misunderstood how the layout would look in the magazine.

Miley, I used to watch your Hanna Montana film and i used like it. I thougth you are a good girl so i realy appreciated you until today til I saw your noughty pics in CNN. The pictures are uninteresting and not flattering. Definitely not provocative. Then again, maybe some of the commenters don't get out much.

Seriously though, what's the big deal. She's nowhere near nude. A halter top is as revealing. Or would you rather all girls are covered in a burka?
PS Crystal, Miley isn't the property of Disney. She's not your property. She's not anybody's property, and people make bad decisions. It's not the end of the world, so get over it already.
To think if you're such a great fan you would be so fickle as to dump her because somebody took a lame photo of her. Britney hit tock bottom because of people with your attitude. Oh and she also has no talent, but that doesn't seem to stop anybody.

hey ya'll i think that these pictures are completly and totally outragous im a 16 year old girl and a huge fan of miley cyrus and when i saw these pictures i was shocked that someone with her talent and skills could behave so stupidly yes everyone is saying that it is the photographers fault but its not it was her choice so everyone out there backing her up i dont judge you coz u have ur own opinion and trust me i would be backing p!nk up if nething happend to her like this but !nk isnt 15 so its not as bad so miley i really do love you but yuu have lost alot of my respect sorry hun but if u dont want these comments then dont do this kind of shit ..... ily xxx . julie . xxx

OK...first off...she's not nude in any of the pictures!! I can go to the beach and see more skin and more revealing scenary than any of her pictures by kids even younger than she is. I think you all should just chill out and give her a break!

i dont see what the big deal is your all carrying on so much you would think it was full frontal nudity. yes she is young but the pictures are not that revealing the photo with the sheet is a natural shot with the messy hair and the natural make up if any of you looked at acting as the art that it is you would see that it is like her showing her bare and natural soul to her fans. she isnt naked and you can see everything all you can see is her shoulders so come on people get a grip she is a young star that has make billions of dollars doing something she loves you all need to take a step back and look at it for what it is its a natural photo and she looks great dont read into the hype the media has created with this all. at the end of the day she is a brilliant actorand a great singer and she takes an amazing photo thats it so be real and get over it. it hasnt changed who she is or her values or the wholesome aim of her show she isnt like britney or her little sister getting knocked up and going to rehab and so on that those 2 girls have done. if all she is guilty of is doing a photo shoot that you allthink is shameful then i say more power to her for being brave enough to bare her soul to the world in a tasteful photo shoot....

Guys I am not a bad person. i am really thankful that the jonas brothers are defending me on this. oh and thank you stormy for saying that. I have to keep a low profile now because of the photos. And I am very very sorry but keep watching my show and getting my cd and go to concerts I love all my fans and I am truly very sorry.

It's amazing how people get so uptight when it comes to nudity or near-nudity in this prudish country. Now, in many European countries, nudity is practically second nature to many people that live there. It's funny. We, as Americans, are supposedly a developed country. Yet, many Europeans would argue that they are more open to the subject of nudity than we are. Unfortunately, I live in the "developed" country, even though I am a nudist like the Europeans...well, sort of. I would be if I could afford to move there. However, I'm a very strong believer in nudism.

That said, Miley has done nothing wrong. In fact, she's not even nude like Vanessa was. I'm referring to Vanessa Hudgens. Now, she was a nudist...or at least, trying to be one until the media and public outcry made her apologize. Apologize for being a nudist? That's mental in my opinion. Now, they made Miley apologize and she wasn't even naked! Did I mention this country is very prudish? What if Miley and Vanessa did this in Europe? I can almost guarantee that the incidents would not matter to most people...or at least to the many nudists that live there.

Ok, first off you people are STUPID thinking that she is nude. My friends wear bathing sutes that show way way way more skin then that, I do! If she was naked wouldn't you see her bare but and breasts. Do you? I don't think so! I go to a Christian school and Miley is what we all talk about four teachers at my school who are strong believers thought that it was not nudity what so ever!!! Now if strong Christian believers say that there has to be something wrong with you CRAZY people! There has to be!!!
