Our country is so depressed at this time with the economy, and very important issues, that this relationship is not worth our concern. Also, we have no knowledge of what has transpired between the married couple in S.C. There is always the possibility that their marriage has been troubled for a long time with no final resolution. Men have this tendancy to wander, and women do also. But we really are not people to judge this man, or this woman. If we believe in our creator, lets spend more time on important issues that may save our lives, not on infidelity, which has been going on since the days of the Bible. And let us give God the right to judge. He is the only one who can do that, and I feel sure that God forgives. But it seems that humans do not forgive, and that is the sad thing about our culture today. If our president of the U.S. could have an affair and an affair, and still be accepted, then this leads us to believe that other politicians can do the same thing. It is not our priviledge to judge. But we can be human, and share the disappointment with those who feel betrayed. That is life.

Well NBALKBURN, the reason its such a controversy is not because anyone is standing in judgement of him, its because Mark Sanford stands in judgement of everyone else. He poses as this upstanding Bible belt Christian that always puts his family first and talks down to SC citizens that make mistakes in their own families. But now the "family man" has left his precious sons on Fathers Day and totally betrayed his wife Jenny. No one around here is going to take it easy on him because we know what a pompious jerk he has been. Also, he's allowing SC to fall at the bottom of the charts so he can make some point about the stimulus money. In the meantime teachers are loosing jobs, prisoners to be let go, students to fail from K-College, colleges are closing early, cutting programs, and dropping students from classes. But while we are suffering he's spending our tax dollars to fly to another continent and wine and dine his mistress! He deserves to get stumped!

Obviously this guy is a jerk. 4 sons and he sets this kind of example. He does not deserve to be a father!
He's teaching his own that cheating is OK.
As for this self serving garbage about doing the right thing and going back to his family, bull! Kick the bum out, sue for divorce and let's quit listening to his rambling about not being able to have his cake and eating it too!

To Please: Forget it please. There is a rule among right wing Christians. They can lecture other people on moral failings (i.e. Democrats) and then be hypocrites by chasing pussy while their wife takes care of the kids. When people find out, the right winger is a "fallen man." He then gets to say, "I spoke with God and I repented and he God forgave me." Then the rightwingers go back to savaging family men like Barack Obama for being a morally weak and Godless.
You CAN'T convince these people. They are culturally disabled.
