This is getting rediculous! This family is just like any other and in my opinion we should just leave them alone. Kate is a mom and she is just diciplining her child. All of these articles and paparazi is hurting their family! In many articles they are criticising either Jon or Kate saying that they are hurting their family but the people that are really hurting this family is all the terrible people that write these articles. We xhould just leave this family alone. If you really want to see whats going on in their lives then you should watch the show. That why they chose to do the show, to capture the memories and to show the world that their a normal family. Kate is a normal mom and Jon is a loving dad. Im sure may of you dont want to be spied on and have the whole world know how your private life is going, so if the world wants to continue to watch this happy family on TV then we should LEAVE THEM ALONE!

honestly i used to love this show and i will still support it for the children sake, as it is helping feed and cloth them. And one time i looked up to kate gosslin but no more!! Sorry to all of you who agree with spanking your children but i dont. im a child and youth worker and i abuse is abuse, any kind of physical pain you put on anyone your child your wife your husband and so on, it's abuse! Put it this way, if it was the school teacher who hit her daughter, there would be a lawsuit for sure, just because she it the mother DOES NOT make it ok! your doing 2 things when you spank your child, you put fear in their eyes and they are scared to make a mistake in front of you and two that "is someone does something bad to me or someone i care about then i can do it right back to them" Look at that little girl who is so scared and in pain because of her mother....it makes me sick! people out there abuse it abuse there is no ifs, ands, or buts about it!!!!!!!!

Jealous people are trying to find any dirt on this family and publicize it. Yes maybe she has spanked Leah, but she has always shown a lot of patient, understanding and love for these children.
IN TOUCH all reporters should be ashamed of their nasty behaviour by filming little girl behind the cameras, but INTOUCH and other magazines are only counting on the increased sale. SHAME ON YOU MEDIA for interfering into the private lives of JOHN and KATE. STOP following every step of their lives. Media should take an example from KATE AS A MOTHER and show KATE as a HERO for giving birth to six children unlike milions of mothers that do abortions in USA every year.

Come on, hitting is different from spanking....we all know that children need spanking once in a while. I used to give trhee, no more than three spanks to my faughters, and only on their nalgas, no where else. I don not aprove of diciplines where children are hit anywhere else than their little buds, and all they need is three, not more.....SO, I WILL NOT CRIIZE KATE FOR DOING THIS..I do not like the way she bosses everyone else, but that is their problem. Pople go as far as you let them, until there is a stop to it!

i got a few spankins as a child. If she wasnt obeying Kate then she needed it. My family and i watch your show and many times we have said if i was kate or jon she/he would have gotten a spanken if a child was told to stop and didnt then i would give a little spank but not something that really hurt. But many times kate as said things to jon that were NOT called for. So we hope mabey jon and Kate will work this out and be a happy family again i miss the old shows were it was a big happy family. but now it is depressing watching the shows.So i wish yall the best.

I know she's going through alot but there is no need for her to express her anger on the child. Yes parents have different methods on raising children but, unless she had a good reason for spanking her child this should not happen. Apparently they way she went about doing so was considered abuse because the police showed up. The look on her face shows that she was up to no good. Now i'm not saying she's wrong but i'm not saying she's right. Before you can truly judge the situation you need to know what happened in order for you to do so. Almost similar to the chris brown and rihanna situation, though he was wrong you dont know what happened so don't judge the situation unless you know what happened.

I think they should leave the family.You reporters should feel bad about the kids life. You are messing this family's life. I think Jon and Kate should sit down and talk about it instead on getting mad to each other and maybe they should be honest to each others feeling and think about the good days they have when their life are not on the show. They still can support their kids by working hard. Putting a live show on their family doesn't make a family get together.

And Christina....Kate and Jon could support her family by getting a normal nine to five job again, just like normal hardworking Americans. They had enough money to get pregnancy treatments, they can find a normal way to support eight children. It won't be easy, but it's possible.
Anyway, by this point, that family has enough money to live modestly for the rest of their lives.

But seriously, I used to love the show. Now I can barely stand to watch it. Kate's not a mom anymore. She's a superstar.
The problem's not that she spanked her child. It's that she's on camera doing it. And why is she on camera? Because she won't give up her show.
How embarrassing for Leah. I hope they pull the plug on the show and all the crazy photographers give the family the privacy they need to get their lives together.

Come on....give this lady a break. Yes I have seen the show and can say that I cringe sometimes when she talks to Jon. He is a great Dad but he seems like he lacks any motivation like alot of husbands. Most of us...not all....most...have given our child a smack on the bottom!!! Let them film their show and outside of that leave them alone!!!! I personally think that people taking pictures of families without their consent and in their own yard nevertheless is creepy and wrong!!!!
