   So she gave her child a spanking, who cares it's not as if she was dragging her across the yard and beating her with a stick. It is so annoying that people keep making this into a big deal. If you don't believe in spanking children then don't spank YOURS. It's so funny did anyone ever notice that the people who are so anti spanking, have the most foul mouthed, smart a** unruly kids. And as far as the way she speaks to her husband so what? Everyone has to remember that this is a tv show we are seeing what editing wants us to see, and even if that wasn't the case the last time I checked he was a grown a** man and could open his mouth and tell her to back the f*c* off. People say how wrong it is to have them making money off of the show and they should get regular jobs well news flash there are not many people who can honestly say, that if they were offered a fat contract and big bucks to let people film their lives they wouldn't do it, cause I sure as hell would.    Hey Jon & Kate! Raise your kids how YOU want because they belong to YOU. Spanking IS OK and it is legal to do so in the U.S.A. if you see fit. And if the U.S. ever makes it illegal, move to Russia or the Czech Republic. They definitely won't criticize you for it. Keep up the great work!

   just because kate is stressed with her whole marriage thing it is not right for her to go hitting her children. She should not put her anger out on them, because it has nothing to do with them. The kids are so confused with everything, why make them think that it's their fault now? Besides, it was kate and jon BOTH that without their kids permission decided to put their life on national television. So don't you DARE think that it was okay for kate to hit her child because it was totally not okay.

   Come on! The point of parenting is to make sure your kids don't become a**holes. And a lot of the time, kids need to be spanked to make sure that that doesn't happen. My parents spanked me and I'm not psychologically damaged or any of that bull - I've been told I'm a pretty nice person actually. Spanking is no where close to abuse. So many bratty kids today just need a good spanking! Sometimes it's the only thing that works.
   
   Yes, Jon and Kate have made some mistakes, but they don't deserve all this bad attention; the media is what is destroying their family.

   I just saw the cover of Touch in the store today and I am Very disappointed with the media & what they've done to you all. God said in Matthew 19:6 "What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.", and in Proverbs 23:13-14 "Don't fail to correct your children. They won't die if you spank them. Physical discipline may well save them from death.". So who will you listen to? These fools who don't have any hometraining or common sense and are out to ruin your lives, or the Almight One who has the final say NO MATTER WHAT?! I love you all & your family. God has truly blessed you both with 8 GORGEOUS children & it is up to you & only you how they are raised. I only wish that you didn't let the media film your lives in the first place. They're the Devil's door into your lives. Keep God 1st Gosselin's & you'll always ve successful

   Hitting a child for any reason is disgusting. I don't care if you want to call it "Spanking" If you hit another adult it is considered assault. Why do we not give our children the same respect? I am a pacifist, but this women makes me want to punch her in the face.

    wow, to me if leah was doing something wrong why in the hell cant a grown ass woman spank her chid. the publicity already fucked it up enough. her family is ruind because that shit. it is fucking redicules or
