This is over doing it. How many parents give there kid a spanking now and then come on. We need to think how we are, that people do not see. A spanking! she was not BEATING HER!
I grew up in a family that got ours! I am an adult and getting a spank now and then did not ruin me!
And then having so much work to do she is Not really that bad."Why can't people look at all the good"!!!

I believe child abusers do it behind closed doorsl.What I see is a mother correcting her child. And she did it in view of the entire world. If all mothers who spanked their child were locked up we'd all be in jail, and I question any parent who does not dicipline their child, how are they to learn there are consequences with not following orders? Maybe that is what is wrong with our society?

If Kate was a child abuser ; which she isn't , she wouldn't randomly hit her child out in public .
Leah must have disobeying her mother and Kate spanked her for her to understand that , she needs to be respectful .

All of the things that are being said about Kate is just plain rediculous.Why is everyone picking on Kate and it seems that people are forgetting what Jon did. He is responsible for everything that is happening. He wants to put the blame on her. GROW UP Jon you are lucky to not be my husband, because I would of killed you right on TV.Everyone needs to stop blaming Kate and scrutinizing her every move.She is a very good mother.How about any of you try taking care of 8 kids with a cheating no good husband!!!The reason Kate does what or says what she says is because with 8 kids you NEED a schedule and structure to follow and both need to follow that or you'll have chaos. Everyone should just leave her alone and get a life,because she needs to just concentrate on her kids without having every move monitored.

I'm sure everyone gives their kid a little spanking every now and than to teach them a lesson. It's not like she over did it.. she gave her a little spank on the tush. Cut her a break!
