Hey, that nice if one has no axiom other than what's PC. Clay, you say you're a Christian. I hear that you will be 'involved' with the child. That may be okay for non-believers, but I suspect that it is considerably lower than Christian standards. One who fathers a child should be not merely 'involved', but should in fact be a father to the child. What do you say to this?

Giving your sperm artificially does not get you off the hook for the performance of responsibilities as a father. What in the world were you thinking? Did you wish to avoid the charge of adultery or sexual immorality with a single woman? I wish you had thought a great deal more about this. Admiring or even loving the woman is not sufficient reason or cause to overcome the guilt of what you have done. What do you think? You probably think it none of my business. Think again! To make a public announcement of one's belief is to receive public approbation or disapproval of one's later actions.

I always felt like Clay was an old soul. Ms. Foster is obviously "younger" than a typical 50
year old. Maybe the two have met in the middle
somewhere and decided that this would work for
them. I'm sure they didn't take this lightly.

God, she's so ugly though. I'm not being mean, I'm sure she's sweet but Clay could have done better.
But he will be one of Hollywood's Best fathers, for sure.

Some of the rude comments here just floor me. To those who are saying how ugly you think Jaymes is, go look in the mirror. I suppose you are the looker of all times, right? Not to mention that looks really have nothing to do with loving someone. If so, more than half the world is not loved because most people are not the so called “beautiful” people. Give me a caring and kind person any day over someone who is a beauty on the outside but ugly on the inside. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Or as my mom used to say, “Pretty is is pretty does.” With comments like these, your “pretty does” is lacking considerably. Oh, and also please consider that she is leaving the hospital after having a baby. Most people don't walk out after that experience looking there very best. I know I didn't. I think she looks very pretty.

To Jim White: I am both a Christian and a long time fan of Clay’s (5 years). I have met him several times. Though I don’t know him as a friend, I have seen the wonderful and spiritual person he is, which is what drew me to him as a fan to begin with (in addition to his glorious voice). May I suggest to you…..Don’t believe everything you hear. Half of what you hear from the media is half-truths, and the other half are lies or hearsay. Clay and Jaymes both plan to be an active part in raising this child. Clay has been wanting a child for a long time. There is no way that he will merely be a part time dad. He will be every bit and more a father to Parker as the best dad out there. That is the kind of person he is. You should see him with the children overseas he has gone to see via his travels with UNICEF, as well as with children with disabilities whom his foundation serves. Though I would not have chosen this same path he has, there is no doubt in my mind that (1) He prayed and thought about this long and hard, and (2) he will live up to the Christian standards of being a father……Though I don’t know for a fact, my belief would be that Clay chose artificial insemination because he was not married and does not believe in premaritial sex. He has said an interview in the past that he believes it best and more special to wait till one is married to have sex. I seriously doubt he’s changed his mind. Whether you agree with what him and Jaymes decided to do or not, you most certainly have to give him credit for staying true to this core belief of his. Half of Hollywood doesn’t know the meaning of not having premaritial sex. Give him a chance to prove his love and dedication to his new son before you judge him as you are.

If Clay was 20 yrs. older than her you all would think it fine to have a child this way. Leave these two alone & let them share in this joy. They have the funding to give this baby a good life in a not so good world (just read the posted comments). I don't know Jaymes but I love Clay & I'm 58 yrs. of age. He's ready she's willing enjoy the outcome. Nothing is a wonderful as a gift as godly as this. Bless them & bless their little one.

Congratulation Clay on the birth of your son. Hold your head up and be proud. A real christian will not condemn you on your DECISION or ACT. Jesus said, "You without SIN cast the first stone". It was not a sin what you did and you knew it. Maybe, some of these so good christians as they would want others to think they are, Need to do a little soul searching. And No, you do not have to explain anything to anyone reqardless if they are fans or not. If they leave, so be it, they only make room for 10 more to become fans. As christians we are to pray for them that we feel are sinning not public condemn them. Jesus, said, "By this all men will know you are my disciples by the LOVE you display. So I suggest to the so call christians to read your bible, get to know God and his words. Pray for AGAPE Love and things like this wouldn't upset you so. Clay Aiken is a human being, he is a man. He has feelings and desires. He is NOT God. He's not immune of falling like you are not. I admire Clay and is inspired by him but I have enough intelligent to not place him on a high pedestal. We all have to answer to God for ourseves. So get yourself together, stop worrying about Clay.

I think Jaymes Foster Levy is very pretty with her dark hair and blue eyes. I am happy they had a baby together. She was married for 23 years and her husband and her had no children. I guess she is getting older and decided she did not want to miss her chance to have such a blessing that a child is. I guess Clay found the same thing he knew he was gay and he did not want to miss his chance to have the child blessing. I am sure that both of them will be great parent and it is great that they can make a family full of love. Sometimes marriage and kids dont work but they are friends this leaves none of that pressure marriage can put on children especially if it does not work out.
