I heard this guy sing in Grand Prairie at a Chili Cookoff for Keller Williams Realty this summer and he has TALENT!!! Just don’t know why he has gotten ZERO publicity of being in the top 24 out of 100,000 tryouts! What’s up with American Idol? Do you think this is fair! Give this talented boy some AIR TIME!!!!
Why should someone who knocked up a 14 year old girl when he was 18 get any airtime?
Because he was a typical teenager at a party who made a mistake. He is a good dad who takes care of his kid. The mom is a total slizutt, even still. And the boy has talent! There are so many other rockstars and singers who make even stupider mistakes as grown adults well over barely legal age. Give the guy a break. I love him and America will too.
Theres differences between making mistakes and committing felonies. Is he a registered offender? I heard they never pressed charges.

I heard Jason sing in Branson and he blew me away with his tremdous voice. He’s not only talented, but was so gracious. I just wish he could have had more air time.
Too bad he killed Moonriver. I almost went into a comatose state.

I love how these people keep saying we don’t know the “facts” but don’t present any. Did he or did he not knock up a legal minor when he was a legal adult?
If you cannot debunk that argument, then you are as pathetic as he is for defending him.
I met Jason last year in Branson and was totally in awe when he sang to me at the Cafe where he works. Meeting him was a highlight of my trip there, and will always remember his rendition of “Unchained Melody”.
Why should they present any information to someone like you? I don’t see you presentng any hardcore evidence to support your outrageous statement. Who’s more pathetic…someone who knows the truth and doesn’t feel the need to share it on a site like this, or someone who only THINKS they do and spreads stupid lies to draw attention to themselves? You do need to grow up!
Hate to say it xxGPCHICKxx, but the reason you aren’t presenting any “hardcore evidence” regarding your defense of the “outrageous statement” is that the facts of the case are quite sketchy. If you had anything that could “clear” his name, you would be posting it. Additionally, it should be known that this “great Christian guy” had a fling with a prepubescent girl when he was far older and been man enough to walk away from the flattery of a girl with a crush. Not to mention that if you have a problem with a “site like this” why do you continue to visit and post?
Are these things going to help your fellow american to make it to AI? I am an Asian but I do support all the 24 on their way to stardom! Stop destroying any of them, stop critiquing JY, it’s unfair and he deserves a better treatment! OK!
Uhm, xxGPCHICKxx I personally knew himin high school through many activities. I also knew the 14 y/o girl whom he impregnated when he was 18.
Why would I make something like that up? Everyone in Grand Prairie knows it and soon everyone in America will too. Just wait until the gossip sites/tabloid tv show get a hold of that true info if he makes it far in the show.
Its going to embarrass the whole city, him, his kid, and the show.

ronron, just beacuse someone is in the top 24 doesn’t mean they deserve our respect, and if they’ve burned people in the past then they will get whats coming to them. I mean if Charles Manson made the top 24 of America Idol because he could sing, would you be rooting for him? I’m not saying what JY did is equitable to that, but I’m just throwing that idea out there for discussion sake. We should be elevating good people.
Just look at Hollywood now–Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, etc. What kind of example are we setting?
Yeah. He made a mistake when he was young. Point being now, he is a GREAT father. His son is his world. A lot of other 18 year olds who may or may not have impregnated a 14 year old would’ve just left and had nothing to do with their child.
You gotta give him some credit for that.

I did him a favor by not voting for him. Last night was really bad, and I don’t think they should drag him around any longer. Unfortunately, he was the worst performer out of the top 10 guys last night, and there is no way he can compete with David Hernandez, David Archuleta, and a couple other of the guys.

I have known Jason Yeager for a very long time. I know that the mom was 14 and he was 17. It is not a huge deal. They raised th child. They give him a great life. There were no charges pressed because they both were going to take responsibilty for what had been done. And they have done an amazing job at that. I understand that this is a gossip site and I am not going to say “stop gossiping”. But for all who care, and want to hear it from someone who has known him for a long time and currently goes to church with his mother and sister, then listen. He is a great guy, who cares deeply about his child and would do and does everything for him. And so does the mother. They made a mistake. But have done eberything to make it better.

I really think it is pathetic how others get pleasure and try to look better themselves by taking other people down. He made a mistake, but took responsibility, which is more than most would have done. Things can’t be easy for him, but he is not complaining, the families are not complaining, and he has a fine son. I remember an idol winner who had an illegit kid. She won! Her past did not hinder her singing, and this is a singing contest, not a trial and jury. I have made mistakes in my life, and made bad judgments. I believe JY paid his dues and is trying to build a life. Probably with more intestinal fortitude than the bloggers have here. He’s probably a bigger man than those who drag history through the mud. Grow up and work on your own weaknesses instead of picking on someone else. Hey Jason My name is Daniel.I am from Costa Rica. Look. I have been watching American idol 2008 because I think this season got lots of talented stars. You are definitively you are one of those. I was so sorry you sadly were out of the competition. I hope you can be a pop star someday. For me, you are.
