Really, does it matter is she is? She has enough money and love/support to raise a child. If the universe didn't think 16 year old were old enough to be mothers why would it be humanly possible to have periods/get pregnant at that age? It's a society/judgemental/money thing- all materialistic things. Really, there are so many UNHAPPY married couples out there with kids, I'm sure her baby is going to have everything it needs. Not many people are perfectly happy with their parents, but, I don't understand on what basis people think she can't raise a child? Some people are far to judgemental. The fact of the matter is, people need to be having children....I don't necessarily agree with people waiting until they are in their 30's for children either...but who cares? it's an indivdual choice. She has the choice to have an abortion- she's chosing not to. Surely that's commendable?
I was 28 years old when I had my first baby and trust me, no matter what your age HAVING A BABY IS HARD. What ever happened to people supporting other people?
All the nasty comments- I feel sorry for closed minded people such as yourselves.

people who think you should wait for marriage until you have sex are INSANE. What if your husband/wife is bad in bed? You are stuck with them forever and you won't have your sexual needs met- for virgins- you won't understand this concept- but trust me- what a miserable life? You'll want to chat on your partner if you don't mix well together sexually. It is SO old fashioned to wait until marriage. Sex is a great thing, people should be experiencing it...safe sex of course...but....take a chance and live life to the full....who CARES if she's sleeping with her boyfriend- good on her. . That baby is going to have everything it needs.

it's true there are tons of teenage mothers out there and it's true that this baby will have everything it needs and the birth of any life into this world is a beautiful thing... however it is a shame that someone so young(15 not 16), someone who made a choice to place themselves in a role model position for so many young ppl out there also made the choice to have sex without protection... to all u teenage girls out there, PLEASE DO NOT let this fool u into thinking that having a baby at such a young age is something to be desired, it is VERY HARD, harder for most, and it WILL change ur life forever... sure it will work out, but is that really the way u want ur life to play out? as a 25 yr old I can tell u how much u change between the ages of 15 and 25, the guy u like now u may hate in two years but you'll be stuck with dealing with him for at least 18 years. the money u'd spend on birth control (in any form) is infinitely smaller then what it costs to raise a child. and having an abortion is not an easy way out, it will stay with u the rest of ur life just like the child would... trust me college, traveling and shopping(for yourself) is a far better way to spend your teens and early twenties... i'm not saying that accidents don't happen. they do, even when all precautions are taken...and to all you young mothers I respect u for being selfless and i wish the very best for you and your children!
P.S. I commend disney/nickelodeon for taking her put of their programs, as beautiful and successful as jaime is and will be, i don't think we need pregnant 15 year olds as role models for our children!
just b/c there kids are having sex younger and younger with pregancy as a result, it doesn't mean we sould set it out there as an example!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S.S. to all you idiots out there that keep writing "get a life" what the hell are you doing on the site in the first place?! it just makes u look stupid.

I commend nick for taking her OUT of their programs and just b/c KIDS having sex younger and younger with pregancy as a result doesn't mean we should allow it to continue to be an example.

P.S If the unfortunate does occur and you or your family is not in a position to raise the child ADOPTION is a beautiful option! obviously jaime lynn doesn't have to worry about that, that baby will have anything it wants.
