No, I do not think dishonoring marriage vows is minor in no way what so ever. But in an earlier comment stated how does anyone know he's cheated if Dany herself hasn't said anything. Do I doubt he's ever cheated, no, but nor can I confirm it, picture or no picture.
The reason I say this is because Dany is ALWAYS there. Ex or not. Marriage break down or not, she is ALWAYS there supporting what he does. Family gatherings, she's there, honors she's right there, she comes to the sets of his movies, they remain business partners, they even own homes right down the street from each other. Even how they handled their divorce tells me that their wasn't to much going on because I do not believe she would have handled it that way. She would have took his azz to the bank if that was the case. Now either she is incredibly forgiving, or there really wasn't much going on ( at least that she cared that much about).
What I meant by saying compared to other celebrities this was minor, it was not being forthright with his fans. That to me is minor. What celebrity is completely truthful with their fans? NONE! And I have to say again, if there is a relationship because besides the news comments, neither have confirmed that either. And as for those pictures, there are MANY pictures of Dwayne with plenty of other women. Taken in the time that he was "supposedly" seeing Lauren and before that as well. So who really can say? As I said before, I can't throw any stones.
Time will tell. He'll have to respond to the rumors sooner or later seeing as these pictures have upset so many people. lol But then again, I wonder if he even gives a damn what anyone thinks.

I apologize, I was a little harsh in some of my comments.
What has me so disappointed in him is that he made the choice to constantly feed us the lines about his happy family and he chose to lie.
I do hope he is somehow able to move past this but I just think that he's lost so many fans that have been with him from the very beginning and those who truly cared about him, his family and his career. Hopefully he can recover from this. Because even if he doesn't care what the fans think, those former fans won't be supporting him anymore and his movies may suffer.

I went to Emerson College with Lauren..
She is sweet, funny, beautiful and has a bomb voice. everyone makes mistakes, does "bad" things... stop acting like you all are gods. don't judge unless you are omniscient ... (which i am sure you are not)

If he has lied to his fans, maybe he will come out and explain the reason or maybe he won't. I can't call it.
But no matter what I will still support him. Simply because me being a little older and wiser, I've seen just how crazy life can be and how people can make the worst decisions/choices ever to get themselves into these predicaments. Dwayne's life has changed so drastically over the past few years. He's become the million dollar movie star he's wanted to be, but look at all it's cost him. Wrestling fans are angry because he doesn't want to be "The Rock" anymore. Wrestler "friends" and the WWF,E or whateva are angry with him because they say "he doens't show respect for what made him" ( which I think is BULL ) Dwayne The PERSON made "The Rock" the CHARACTER who he was not vice versa! sheesh, what more do they want, blood?

To coninue with my point, I know all this had to be upsetting to him when he has stated how much he loved wrestling and did appreciate it. I know their actions and asumptions toward him had to hurt him. That and his marriage was also disolving to someone I KNOW he adored and loved.
Now, I am not handing him any excuses what-so-ever, if he hasn't been forthright then it's up to him to clear it up. Hopefully, people will understand or maybe they won't now, but in time. But with all my heart, I will still love him and remain a fan. Because I know there are other deeper issues that we will probably never know.

I really hope that Dwayne can turn this around. I hope he can actually realise and accept that he made a mistake by lying for months to his fans and putting on a "performance". I really hope that he's man enough to do the right thing and put things right. If he doesn't he wont have a career.

What sucks is that this will probably have a negative affect on his work. He's supposed to start filming any day now, how can he possibly focus with all this going on. Even though I think he lied and had an affair with this girl, I still think he is a sincere person. He made a mistake, we all do. And as a sincere person he has said that he really cares about what his fans think of him. Maybe he's so much of a professional that he can suck it up and get back to business, I hope so. We need to see some good publicity SOON, I am so sick of all of this!!

I'm a fan of DJ's from his days in the WWF til now. One of the things I always respected about him was his strong sense of family and I have to admit I'm quite disappointed in him at this point. I had certain expectations of him because of the way he presented himself to the public and now it's clear it was all just lies and public relations spin. Obviously we all make mistakes, but not all of us pretend to be something we're not. Shame on DJ for using his family like he did. If you want to sleep with a 22 year old girl while you're married man, then you shouldn't go around pretending to be a devoted husband and father to anyone who'll listen. I dislike phonies and I am now an EX Dwayne Johnson fan...I only wish all this would have come out sooner. It would have saved me from watching that God-Awful Southland Tales!!!

You know Samantha and others who "claim" they are friends of either Dwayne or Lauren. No matter whether it's people who've worked with Dwayne on movie sets, his own publicist, pals of his, or schoolmates of hers. And ALL of the above have posted on different message boards about this. I'm so sick and tired of all these people always and forever using the words "everybody makes mistakes" and "nobodie's perfect". Every single time it's mentioned that Dwayne cheated on his wife with this nasty little groupie whore all of the above people start chiming in with "everybody makes mistakes" and "nobodie's perfect". Well, if you know them number one... Why are you calling this relationship or (acknowledging) it rather (A MISTAKE)? Because I don't know if you're aware or not but that's what you're doing. That's exactly what you're labeling it as. Everytime someone comes in and claims they know them they give off this excuse "Everyone makes mistakes" Well, If you're acknowledging and labeling this as a MISTAKE then you're admitting and acknowledging he cheated on his wife. You're admitting she's a homewrecker who went after, lusted on, screwed, and ruined the marriage of a married father. And you're STILL making excuses for her continueing to do it. If it's such a MISTAKE, then tell your little whore friend to correct her F***ng mistake and STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM DWAYNE JOHNSON!!!! I have read all of these statements and to the last one, I must say, I do NOT believe Lauren is the only girl DJ has ever cheated with! From what I have heard there was another chic who had pictures up on her Myspace page with him kissing all over her. BEFORE this Lauren person came along. Apparently because of all the "rumors" she changed the site to private to totally taking it down completely. There are pictures of that same chic inside his car on his fansite. And she was some black girl. So no one can really call this Lauren person a home wrecker because it looks like DJ wrecked the home long before Lauren came along. It takes 2 to tango! DJ has stated over and over that he's "single" so maybe he is and this Lauren person is just the homey, lover, friend with no strings attached. A man is a man no matter what the hell else he will try to project to everyone else. A man can't be out on the road for months and not have his needs met anyway he can. If he thinks for a minute he can get away with it, you think he won't? Yall all over this Lauren girl and calling her every name in the book lol, but don't forget the fact that she didn't act alone and was probably not the first!

I also agree with StillLoveDJ. DJ has stated that he and his ex are best friends, and that he still loves her. I know Dani has read and heard this statement. So if it was all that we are making it out to be, WHY hasn't SHE stated any different? Yeah, I'm with you on this one StillLoveDj,she is always there with him and she always supports him in whatever he does. I think we all are putting donkey lips on The Horses Mouth, when the horses (all 3) have yet to speak up!

Eraser - The "mistake" label has bothered me, too, and I don't think either of them believe they made a mistake. If they did, then why did they continue the relationship? I can understand that maybe they went too far, but then ONE of them should have stopped things and if it wasn't Dwayne, it should have been Lauren. Let the man figure out if his marriage can be saved. If it fails, it fails, but at least she would have removed herself from the situation and she wouldn't have ruined her reputation. When exactly did she move out to LA, anyway? Was it by chance when "The Game Plan" shooting ended and Dwayne went back to the west coast? And if there was nothing to hide, then why did Dwayne do his best to keep their relationship a secret for two years? As for Dany, I never expected to hear one negative word from her about Dwayne. I see her as a woman who is going to look out for the best interests of her daughter and that means staying on good terms with Dwayne, no matter what.
I became a fan of Dwayne's mostly because I so respected and admired him as a person. He often jokes about having a big head....well, now I know why. It's because there is so much crap in there, it finds its way out of his mouth whenever he talks!! I feel like a fool because I trusted him.
I wonder if he can turn this around with his fans. Or if he even cares enough to try.

Debatingfan, I do blame Dwayne equally for what he did. He neglected his marriage and that's no secret to anyone with eyes and the ability to read. He chose to go after a career in showbiz over being a participating husband and dad with Dany at home. I blame him for everything he did, and didn't do. I was commenting on the people namely defending Lauren. She's nothing to be defended. When you're a single 22 yr old preying upon a married man, you should know better. Even if he's got the world to lose, she had nothing to lose. She should've backed off. She didn't have to participate. If you see a married man is about to ruin his relationship with you, you don't have to participate. Let him do it with someone else. At least you wont be the one helping to destroy the family of an innocent little girl who just happens to have a complete idiot for a father. There is responsibility to contend with. And Lauren has proven she has absolutely NO COMPASSION NOR MORALS WHATSOEVER. She is without a doubt a complete whore and will recieve no sympathy nor respect from me for one second. EVER. And in aggreeance with the last poster that Dany would never say anything publically against Dwayne for fear it would harm Simone. That is true. Dany would never out her dirty laundry to the public. She's not the one obsessed with fame and selling her family out for it. Dwayne is.
For Dwayne saying he's 'single'. That was a bold-faced lie, because you don't date someone for two years if you're 'single'. He's been associated with Lauren since meeting her two years ago. He's hiding a relationship out of no other reason than shame. Dwayne's never had nor felt the need to hide anything in his life such as that. He's used his own marriage and family for publicity numerous times. He still is. He's never hidden a damn thing. Not until now. Dodging and ducking the photographers in Hawaii when he was busted on his 'vacation' dipping down in the water peeking up over the waves just trying to see if anyone's out there on a boat filming him. Looking like a dog with it's tail tucked between it's legs. Then popping up with Dany again for a public photo op and interviews for Simone's birthday at Universal Studios. Distributing the photo to the press within an hour of it's being taken in an attempt to get people to stop talking about the Hawaii/Lauren photos only makes it look all the more embarrassing to him.
The other girl you mentioned was half black. It was some birthday party he attended. I wouldn't be surprised what he's done on Dany with his actions as of late. I don't expect Dany to say anything about this. It's not her fans that are mad. It's not her Hollywood image. It's not her problem. She's mentioned many times in interviews during their marriage about Dwayne and his not being home and the pain it clearly caused. I don't see her saying anything. She shouldn't have to. When you've been humiliated or have clearly been betrayed by a spouse, saying nothing at all usually says plenty. Think about this. If there were no dirty secrets or had she not been cheated on and Dwayne was being mistakenly accused by fans, it's clear she'd have said something to clear his name. They ARE best friends still remember? So why allow your best friend and partner to face such unfair flaming for something he clearly didn't do? Right? There's your answer right there. And Dwayne's not talking because he's got absolutely no leg to stand on. The only thing Dwayne and his moronic PR people are desperately waiting and hoping for is this whole scandal to die down and dissappear. And that aint gonna happen. I guarentee it.

i agree with an earlier poster. when “the rock” was wrestling his persona was definitely “black-identified”. and he milked it for all it was worth in order to become a wwf/e superstar. as he transitioned from wrestler to actor, he obviously began to distance himself from that part of his heritage. personally, i found it quite interesting that while promoting get smart he appeared on the tonight show with jay leno and listed numerous ethnicities that are used to describe him…except black! funny, considering that’s 50 percent of who he is. in his attempt to become more and more “racially ambigous” maybe he felt that his latina wife was just “too ethnic” for the new dwayne johnson image he was (is) trying to project. hence, his new choice of partner. i truly don’t care what race his new girlfriend/groupie is. but i do think he needs to recognize and acknowledge that he is a person of color and show some pride. currently, he has isolated himself from his wrestling fans and now he’s isolating himself from his black fan base. (both traditionally very loyal groups) ashamed of both perhaps? hopefully, he’ll realize what he’s done and self-correct or maybe he’ll continue on the path he’s chosen…major sell out, unfaithful partner, user, and bullsh!t artist.

As for DJ. I'll still be a fan. He's done nothing no other man has done. Governors, Bill Cosby, Jessie Jackson, Brad Pitt, --PRESIDENTS-- just to name a few. So I'm not surprised. All these people have also done a good job of hiding their own indiscretions while at the same time portraying something totally different to the public. I uphoar the deeds they've done but I don't hate them. Maybe DJ will come out with the truth or maybe he won't who knows.
As far as Dani. Yes, I remember that they are "best friends" lol. But at the same time, do you think she would allow him to use their daughters birthday party as a publicity stunt? Just to "clear his image"? She may have tolerated much from Dwayne but I do NOT believe she would allow or even agree to use their own daughter to get his azz out of the alcohol pool he slid into. Do you?

he's an actor, he's here to entertain people, that's all. get a life and forget about stars's lives. the only thing that you should care of is if you like their job. and stop idealizing them. they are not icones in case you didn't notice, they don't have to be exemples for the world because we're grown up and we don't need parental figures ! doing that you give them a power and ego they don't diserve. ok, they are not like you and me, they're worst, more hypocritical and venal, so stop caring about what they do outside of the work area. you'll feel less furious about things that don't worth it.
there are enought things to get mad in real life without starting an ulcerate for someone you don't even know, and more important, that doesn't give a crap of what you think.

He did use his daughter for publicity. It's not whether I think Dany would allow him to do so or not. He DID. The first thing on his agenda for her birthday was to gather around with her and Dany and pose for a picture together as a family and then release it to the press the second it was taken. That's all he could think about was getting that picture of him with his 'family' distributed to as many branches of the internet and media as he could. Then he stands out front conducting an interview about why he's there and promoting the theme park. There is a time and place for publicity and there is a time to just be a normal father enjoying time with your daughter and nothing else, but he couldn't even do that without stopping and conducting some PR for himself. Dany wasn't courting the cameras. She was busy being mom and that's all that concerned her. Just like he used Simone's presence to promote The Game Plan when he was obviously screwing around with the 22 yr old girl he met while filming. He's involving his daughter in red carpet publicity events that do nothing but promote his 'image'. His daughter can see that film at home with him and Dany. His daughter doesn't have to attend functions that put her in a position to where photographers stick cameras in her face snapping her picture so people can make fun of her teeth on the internet. And people have done that believe me. Dwayne has no right to inflict that kind of crap on his family for his own selfish image reasons.
For other people doing this same thing to their wives. Presidents, Bill Cosby, etc. I don't think it's right for them either. I condemn anyone who does that. No matter whether they're famous or not. It's wrong, immoral, and it's disgusting and if you choose to be in the public eye and do that, you will get an earful on it.

He's an actor. Yes. He's an entertainer yes. He's sells his private life to the public for money. Everytime someone buys a copy of 'The Rock Says...' he's making money. He's become a millionair by marketing himself to the public. You do interviews with magazines talking up yourself, your family, your relationships, everything. You do that to get people to like you. When people like you, they want to spend money on you.
People spend money on movie tickets or wrestling tickets. They buy all that crap with your name on it to hang on their walls or set on their shelves or wear on their backs. It's all part of publicity. The celebrities expect the public to make them rich by 'liking' them, but when they do whatever they want and make these so called mistakes, then they don't want to hear anything negative. I'm sorry, you cannot have it both ways. If you are going to choose to put yourself in that position, then you assume the consequences of your actions associated with living in the public eye. It's not like Dwayne's being bashed for choosing to drive a Ford over a Chevy, or choosing to move out of Fl and to Utah. He's chosen to cheat on his wife and lie to the public about it. Most people are not going to simply overlook that. Because most people do not believe it is acceptable for 'anyone' to do. Not just celebs. Dwayne is spoiled and expects everyone to worship him no matter what he does and it's not going to happen. Not by me.

and they're getting even more rich sailing the pictures and interviews about their private lives to magazines. if people were not so interested in it, it wouldn't become a business for them. all i'm saying is that personaly, i don't care about what they do outside of cameras, because if i want to see a movie, most of the time it's because of the synopsis, or because i loved the previous work of the director.
it's not because he was a good husband and father that people bought wrestling tickets or movie tickets. it's because he was good on the ring or they were interested in the movie. and it's not just about him. it's the same for all those stars who sail a fortune pictures of their newborn, no matter what good they do of the money, it's just publicity. it became a business because of us. and i find the people reaction disproportionate because of the emotions they put in it.

Wouldn't you just wait for their next movie to come out instead of actively seeking extra information about them? The truth is that people are nosey. You, me, all of us. When we like or admire someone we want to know more about them. Sometimes we like the things we find out, other times we don't. It's that simple. Whether or not Dwayne Johnson's supposed infidelity makes a difference to you (or even me) doesn't take away the right of others to voice how they feel. Rightly or wrongly people feel a connection to certain celebrities. That's why they beome fans in the first place. And it IS emotional for them...even if others can't understand it. No one complains when the fans are adoring and blindly loyal. By the same token, no one should complain when they voice their displeasure. That's their choice. I'm sure Dwayne Johnson doesn't really care what people post on a message board (this post included). It's just a place to vent, blow off steam, and see how others feel. If his FANS feel let down by him, then they have the right to let the world know it if they so choose. Personally, I don't really have an interest why his marriage ended (I'm too busy trying to keep mine on the right track.),BUT if others do, then so be it. I won't wag my finger at them and say "Shame on you all! Stay out of his private life.", especially when he constantly discussed his private life in almost every interview he gave. He openly and vigorously portrayed himself as THE family guy and he INVITED fans into his personal business. Maybe in the future he should take his cue from people like JayZ and Beyonce and keep quiet about his personal life. If he'd done that to begin with maybe we wouldn't see so much outrage from his fans.

I have to say certain things you've stated I agree totally with. But others I simply can not. For instance, Dani is Simone's mother and she would not tolerate Dwayne's using either of them for his own publicity. It's like your stating that what Dwayne says goes and no one, Dani in particular has no say so. She has shown me in many ways just how strong she is and believe me she does put her foot down where need be! I understand what you mean when you say she was being a mother and not worried about "press" but NO mother in their right mind will allow the father to use his child for his own means. No way.
Now, I didn't know that he had that photo issued out. I thought maybe it was just a press picture out of a new paper or something. I just recall seeing it on his fansite, and I must say I haven't seen it anywhere else. ( Not that I was actually looking though, so I could be wrong )And I had no idea he was giving an interview about why he was there either. Did I miss something? lol Where was that written by the way. I'd like to see this one.
One thing I do know for sure is that he didn't bring Simone on the set of The Game Plan for publicity. He did it because people where saying that Maddison Pettis ( adorable and talented little girl) was his daughter ALSO. He did state that he didn't want Simone to watch the film and feel threatened or jealous of Maddison. ( Especially since he and Dani where seperated and he wasn't living in the house anymore ) I mean you have to admit that was a touching movie and very sweet, and if you had never seen his own daughter you would swear Madison was his. Because for a minute I had to take a second look there myself.
