This is not about Pitt/Jolie. People need to get over that. Aniston LOST her husband, nobody stole him. I remember Brad on Oprah in '98 saying he his DYING("Jonesing for a little girl")to be a father. What did Jen do?..NOTHING. That man waited, and waited, and waited while she did her thing. 7 years together(5 years married) and all she'd commit to was a dog. He wanted kids since he was 30! He didn't have on until he was in his 40s! She lost him because she is selfish. brad and ang have done more as a couple than she ever did. Timeing sucks sometimes. He found Jolie just as his marriage hit the rocks. At least people see that it's not some casual movie set hook-up. They have the same agenda family charities(The woman goes to refugee camps and third world contries, while she was pregnant! I did wan to go to the MALL when I was pregnant!!LOL). All Jen wants to do is lie on the beach "Cabo here I come". UNLIKE dwayne who is basically doing everything in his power to be uncommitted!! Maybe they are the same only Dwayne would be aniston and his EX would be Brad!

I don't think the OP was making a direct comparison to the Pitt & Jolie fiasco as a whole. Only the similarities in the negative backlash of public opinion. At least that's how I'm reading into it. So don't waste anyone's time here making a federal fantasy case out of something you obviously have a loonish-fan opinion of.

I will start by sayin I KNOW I'm being superficial, but WHY such an ugly chick? I just can get my head around it. The age I can sort of understand because that's what some men do. They try to get their youth back. But damn! She is so NOT pretty, I can't even say attractive or nice. Plus I can't even say it's her personality because I did see her on that show and she is so immature. What can they possibly talk about? Ok so they're not talkin. It is disappointing all the talk about him cheating but wtf? There is no way she could be anything serious. I could see him on the red carpet and the interviewer looking at him then at her, and asking, "Really Dwayne? Really? Seriously?" I'm not disappointed in him anymore I embarrassed.

Luv-About the inevitable not being what Dany wanted for her five year old,lets be realistic please,what does a five year old know about an affair anyway?just like now she doesn't get it,so what she doesn't know or can't understand won't hurt her,so there was NO justification for postponing it.Secondly I haven't judged the situation or anybody in it so to speak,I only disagreed with some of the things you said and wanted to voice those disagreements thats all.
Hollywood-Yes I agree, he was never going to Hollywood to "what we know" but nonetheless he got there and fell in love with acting and decided to persue it.But anyway my point is wrestling was just as crazy as Hollywood,he was barely ever home even then anyway so whats the big deal this time? He's never had a normal job like Dany where he can go in the morning and return in the afternoon.He's always been away so hollywood could not have put a strain on their marriage that wasn't already there.
The partying-movie premiers most of the time have after parties as we all know so how can he refuse to stay for the after party of a movie in which he is the leading actor or at least one of them?he like any other actor had to be a hundred percent committed to the project and see it to the end and yes they often get invited to premiers of other movies or after parties and all the crazy events hosted in hollywood.The wife was pregnant and couldn't come,yes he probably could get away every now and then becoz of her absence and pregnancy but surely not always.Other cast members also have lives and obligations outside their work so he cannot be treated any differently,his personal drama was his problem to sort out.I just think the life that Dany or even Dwayne wanted for their family together wasn't possible with his chosen career.It was eventually gonna boil down to either divorce or him leaving hollywood.Also the renting of the Condo-wasn't that during filming a movie? I just don't see why he would rent a condo and be away from his wife at the time when she needed him the most for no reason,unless of course there was a reason BUT still nothing would justify leaving her on her own whilst pregnant.I'm sorry but I just don't see how he could be that unreasonable.
Finally I must say that I never understand why when two people decide to go their separate ways for whatever reason must their laundry be hung out in public? The fact that she stood by him when he was at a lowest point in his life shouldn't be relevant right now,I'm sure there's plenty of things that he also did for her but who's saying anything about that? if you were my best friend and I happen to be your rock at a time of need,does that mean you will forever owe me for that? does that exempt you from negligently doing something that could hurt me ever? of course not,surely he was and will forever be grateful to/for her being there and showed his appreciation during the 17 years they were together.

Lots of women support their husbands financially while they persue their goals and dreams. The biggest one right now is Michelle Obama, She's the one that was making the money while he tried to get into politics. She's the one that took care of the kids and home while he was out campaigning for years. Dany wasn't ALONE while Dwayne went off for 200 days a year. Her mother, Dwayne's mother, his Grandmother and her Grandmother all lived closeby(her sister lived next door)Granted her husband wasn't there every day but many women deal with their husbands jobs taking them away from home. She even said he had a plane on standby to get him home for the birth and then he never left Simone.It seems that their marriage came to an end because he was home for months instead of days.They probably didn't know each other anymore. It happens, people who see each other every day can grow apart. Sounds like the relationship ran it's coarse. I would never give that hashy-ho credit for ending their marriage. She is a distraction nothing more.Everyone has choices in life. Michelle chose to leave her job and support/live with her husband. Dany chose to say in Florida and she seems very happy.

First off, five year olds are not mental midgets either. They're not deaf, blind, or stupid. She's also not living in a bubble either. She attends school with other children who's parent's may not be as strict with the television, and internet, as her mom. And we all know that children of celebrities have a certain amount of "wannabe friends", that encircle them, because of who their parents are. That's just human nature. So, there are a lot of children that will want to surround Simone, and come to her with things they've heard and read, or that their older siblings, or and friends, may have "heard about, and read". It's not entirely unrealistic to think some little girl wouldn't approach her and say, "Is it true your daddy has a girlfriend?... My sister said she saw your daddy has a new girlfriend." Considering her daddy's sex symbol statis, many girls of all ages will take notice very quickly the second there is a (new girlfriend) siting/rumor. And so that would be something that could quickly travel towards his daughter through other children.

Exactly. His never being hom was clearly what put a strain on his marriage and it's confirmed as so in many interviews he's done over the years. That in no way makes what he did right. It makes what he did selfish. He chose to commit to the marriage. he chose to marry Dany. He knew what was involved. It's not as though he married her six months after they mat. They were together and living together for years. This was something he chose to change in his life.

There is a huge difference between attending after-parties associated with movie promotion, and running around town without your wedding ring on, being photographed escorting 20 something girls to and from clubs, hotels, the gym, getting in and out of his car with a different young girl late at night for YEARS, while married. This was not while Dany was stuck at home pregnant during filming -release of The Scorpion King either. Dany was only pregnant for a few months to where she did not attend any functions. He rented that Condo while filming the SK and kept it for long after. He then bought a home outside of L.A. and that was also while he was very much married. The reality of it is... Dwayne's a selfish, arrogwant, spoiled, male chauvinist, PLAYER. He's always wanted to be a player. He's always for the most part, BEEN a player. Dany tried to stand by him, but HE made marriage impossible. Between his sleazing around with women, his workaholic obsession with Hollywood, and his sheer lack of respect to her and their marriage, she couldn't take it anymore.

First off, when you PUT your laundry out there and sell it to the public such as Dwayne has always done, then yes, people are going to talk about it when you split up. Dwayne didn't go a single interview without discussing how hard the divorce was, and how much he still loves Dany so much, and the point he was always quick to make, that he wasn't dating anyone, because it was both too soon, and he was working too much to have time for that,.... leaving his dating life "nonexistant"....He forgot to mention he was seeing the 22 year old groupie, he met six months before his "sexey-exey" filed for DIVORCE, though. He always manages to conveniently leaves that part out.
Let me tell you about his decency and respect for Dany. While he's claiming the two had seperated for three years before she magically chose to file for divorce coincidentally five months after he hooks up with Lauren. Dany was wearing her wedding ring. Dany, who was so "OVER" her marriage to Dwayne, never took that ring off til after the divorce went through. Even while seperated from him for months LEGALLY, she wore that ring. Everywhere she went with him, she wore that ring as a SYMBOL of her devotion and honor for her husband. Even though she was the one that filed physically for the divorce. Do you know how twisted that is?..... that you're rolling around town with a 22 year old WHORE in your car, while still married and talking about your love for your still wife, who still wears your wedding ring by the way.... taking her out in public to promote YOUR image, and paint your relationship up as so loving just to the press and fans.
Do you know how despicable, and outright disrespectful, it is to take your own real wedding photo, of you and your wife on your wedding day, and give it to a prop department at Disney, and have them Photoshop another woman's FACE over your own WIFE in your real wedding photo to use for a cheap MOVIE PROP? When all you had to do was use any of a thousand pics of yourself in a suit photoshopped standing next to a model in a bridal gown. Or change into a simple tux in the wardrobe closet for a two second poloroid snapshot. No. Let's use my REAL wedding photo and crop out my wife's face! That's where his mind is. That's where his heart is.
Just because someone is the rock by your side through time of need, do they owe you for the rest of their lives for that? No. But he sure as hell owed her more respect than THAT though!

My comparison was to illustrate how people begin a marriage. Some people weather the storm of distance and some people don't. Some men don't wear rings that doesn't mean they are not committed. Some men wear rings and are unfaithful.(I do recall he wore his on a chain near the end). Dany doesn't wear her wedding band, she only wore her engagement ring. She still wears it on her right hand. I couldn't tell you who's husband had an affair and who didn't. Because some move on and make their marriage work others don't.I read once when Charlton Heston's wife was asked, after 55 years of marriage had she ever considered divorce, "Divorce never...murder often!"
But I'm off track. You have two couples in love who married almost the same time and through choices only one makes it.
I think that when people are apart for long periods of time and then are together again, there is bound to be "bitching" on both sides.
As for the 22 Hooch he was wrong wrong wrong so wrong. And he'll have to live with that "choice" for a long time. But I don't think the ho was the reason for the divorce, she was just a small "moldy" straw that broke the camel's back.
I think they both played the press.She's a grown woman and could say no and she probably has her own reasons--money, connections who know? True-thanks and I completely agree,I also believe the marriage had run its course,this Lauren cannot be the reason for the divorce,there must have been bigger problems by the time she got there.Dwayne was a boy when he married Dany,he didn't have the priviledge to date in his 20's and do all the stuff young men at that age do becoz he was now a husband.Yes nobody forced him BUT that was a first big mistake.He should've waited,if it was meant to be,it still would have been.

Yes, it is true he did that. Look at the Game Plan in the scene where he's holding the wedding announcement clipping from daughter, Payton's memory box. It's a photo of him and actress wife on thei wedding day. It's his real wedding photo with Dany, only Dany has been cut out of it, and photoshopped over top of her, is the blond actress playing his wife.
Dwayne removed his wedding band for wrestling matches many times, and always put it back on, so it's not as though he removed it for work, or forgettfulness, or even safety concerns. He put it on a chain around his neck, and did that intentionally. He knew full what he was doing.
Dwayne has come forward and ADMITTED that Lauren Hashian is his Girlfriend on television now. Many fans had been arguing for months, nonstop, saying, "It's not true! It's not true! Just because he was at the beach with her don't mean nothing! Where's the proof? He said he's not dating, so he's NOT DATING! Until he says something I'm not falling for gossip and BS. The Boston Herald is just a rumor, It's not true. Dwayne says he aint dating, so screw you all! I believe Dwayne! His mom says he's single, so that means, he IS SINGLE! Don't call his mom a Liar! Leave his mom out of it!"

Just as myself, and several others, had been saying since July of last year,... Dwayne has been lying. Dwayne was having an AFFAIR. Dwayne has been seeing that "whore" ever since he met her in the fall of 2006. Dwayne cheated on his wife. Dwayne has been keeping that whore at home while he escorted Dany, and sometimes Simone AND Dany, to public events, to promote whatever projects he's doing. Selling his Disney movies. Looking like the big, happy, loving, family. Telling the fans who respected him for the man he was. (Fans that did NOTHING to deserve being lied to, and played like that. Fans that believed him, and NEVER threw him under ANY scrutiny a day in his life.) He sat there, and said to those fans, "I'm not dating. My dating life is nonexistant. It's too soon to date anyone. I'm taking things slow."
The whole time he had a girlfriend, and was cheating on his wife with her. He was too ashamed to admit she existed, BECAUSE HE WAS CHEATING SINCE 06. That's WHY he said those things. That's why he lied. You don't lie like that without a reason, and that was his reason. HE WAS CHEATING ON DANY, and didn't want anyone to find out about it. He's been BSing the very people that never even asked in the first place about his dating life. Ellen, and the rest of the reporters, and journalists asked. The fans didn't say a word. He openly lied to people, just because he doesn't have any respect for his fans. If you respect your fans, you don't treat them like that after they've put you where you are..
It was ALL a facade. It was a publicity stunt, to sell movie tickets. It was a lie, to keep you all, and everyone else from knowing what he had done, and possibly ruining his fake-ass, wholesome, Disney, family, image, he was SELLING to you all. That's what it boils down to. He played his fans for a bunch of FOOLS. All he was doing, was selling.

All he had to do was be honest with people from the start and most of his fans probably would have forgiven him (I probably would have). People make mistakes and marriages end, but what I can't stomach is the complete deception and disrespect he's shown to everyone with his lies. I can't stand phony people. These threads will never end until he comes clean and admits he was an adulterer who cheated on Dany with Lauren Hashian while filming "The Game Plan" and then lied in all of those interviews claiming he was too busy to start dating, and "How do you get back into that?" All the while cheating on Dany and running around with Ms. Hashian. And he continued to hide the relationship for the sake of his family man image, which is really a joke to me.
Funny, I was just reading an article on another celebrity who met her husband on a movie set, but because they were both in other relationships at the time, nothing happened between them and they went their separate ways. They didn't even really speak to each other until many months later, after both had ended their other relationships, and then they found each other again. WHAT A CONCEPT! WAITING UNTIL YOU'RE FREE TO START A NEW RELATIONSHIP! Even in Hollywood! But Dwayne Johnson doesn't have that kind of class.
I, too, was highly offended that they used Dwayne's and Dany's real wedding picture in "The Game Plan" and pasted over Dany's face with the face of his character's wife.
