All this speculation about David is wild. I go to the same school and ward. I have had several classes with him and have seen more of him than anyone would really want to. He is genuinely nice, sensitive, and emotional. However, the stage embarassment is an act and may very well knock him out of the race. Once he steps on to the stage, he is a true professional. If he performed like he has around here, you would all be calling him arrogant (which he is not).
Couldn't tell you if he is gay or not, because he really has never been linked with anyone. If he is gay, though, you will never know it. Just like any other good LDS gay, he will confess his sins to the Elders, do his mission, come back and the Elders will have a girl all picked out for him to marry and have a family. He will go on with his career, with his supportive wife at his side, and entertain us with his voice. The rumors will eventually die out.

It does not matter if he is gay or not, as long as he acts like a man with a male body. On the other hand, if he acts like Danny Noriega, the transvestite, then probably nobody will support him. David keeps up the good work and stays away from that Danny who is such an eyesore. Danny should sing in the female group.

Hey there.I think David is a sweet,humble young man.He has a voice of an angel.I think alot of people are right out jealous.This boy has worked hard since he was young to get where he is.He has a heart of gold.WHo cares if hes Mormon,Baptist or whatever.I don,t believe he is gay either some of you people are just outright stupid.A guy cant be kind, sweet, and have a big heart without being accuses of being gay.Im sure his young life has been commited to music and he hasnt had time for the ladies but can think about the girls later ofcoarse he soon will have to beat them off with sticks.This kid is a quadruple threat hes got it all..Looks like his parents raised him right.Even if he couldnt carry a tune I would vote for him becuase he is so likeable and he is honeslty a good hearted person.Just keep on what you are doing David and do not let anyone get you down.YOu are truly a shining star in every way.Its about time we have a celebrity who isnt airogant and stuck up..David is a people person he will be around a long time.Like I have said before he doesnt need American Idol to make it big.He is already there.I wish him the best of luck and I would love to give him a big ol HUG.Hes the kind of young man you want your daughter to bring home and marry....

People need to wake up and stop being sheep. The boy is clearly gay. As are most of the other contestants. If they come from a theatrical background, have soft features, and enjoy singing like "a cute little tomato",odds are, they're taking it in the ass. Why are so many people in denial about this?
