I saw it coming... but I didn't want to mention it in case you read the blog before the singoff. But beleive it or not this is really a good thing that happened to you this early in the competition. What happened was that you were the front runner and that is why they made you go last. (Remember I said "It was all about the ratings"?) Going last to see the front runner is what makes people keep watching. Take it as a huge compliment.
The pressure built up and it got to you. Now you are one of THEM. You are back in the pack. This is a great since it relieves alot of pressure on you. Yup... puts a whole new perspective on things. Take it for what it is. But it is what you needed to re- focus. Don't worry because you have a massive fan base... That is a blessing. They see beyond your talent but the person you are. You may not even make the bottom three. But don't be surprised if you do. I doubt it because your following is huge and forgiving. They LOVE YOU! Teenage girls, moms, pops and everyone else. That should only make you stronger to fire up the will to go for your dream. So, sing your heart out and touch peoples hearts like you did many times before. You are a humanitarian and a lover of your craft. We all see that you are.
I told you I wouldn't give you feedback for the future until today... but here is what I see...
You will be back on top next week with your next performance. Visualize and trust your instinct. Ignore the crap and go for the pure energy that surrounds you.
I'm not going to say... "You can do it David!" It is something you should say to yourself!

Hey EVERYONE- why does everyone including the dork host of American Idol keep saying "the girls or "ladies' like you" - um about evry gay boy alive LOVES him. He can be loved by both boys and girls. OMG I would die to make out with him he is sucha HOTTIE-

OBSERVER: YOu are so lame. How do you know he doesn't like boys? maybe he has hooked up the gay dancer or that young gay boy that was booted off last week. anyway- you just dont know- he may love weenies too...so don't be so judgemental and yes what boy OR girl wouldn't want to jump his bone (wonder how big it is anyway?) You gotta give the guy credit, even though he made some mistakes he kept on going. I think he'll be fine tonight, based on the merits of his past performances, his likeability, and the fact that he already has a huge, devoted fanbase.

I can't believe he didn't sing "Let It Be". Well anyway, I don't know what Paula was getting at...if you watch it over again you can see how even though he forgot the lyrics in some parts he smoothly kept on going. He is amazing.
And for the record, it's not only teenage girls and grandmas who love him. Its 20-something young ladies who wish they would have known him in high school.

I may actually be experiencing my very first addiction...David Archuleta's Imagine.
It's saved on my TiVo and I play it back constantly on my 58" screen with an awesome sound system.
I only wish I knew how to "loop" it so I don't keep having to rewind it!

Listen, as far as David being gay, lets just leave it at, he is what he is, and if he decides that he's gay, then so be it.
This being said, if he is gay, does that make his voice, or personality any less beautiful?
I don't think so, and I hope that the people voting for him won't either.
On a personal note, being gay myself, and having a pretty fine tuned gaydar, I think he is.
Now let me also note, I have never met the boy, or asked him if he is, so, I could be wrong.
Also, on a personal note, I am in love with him. lol

Well....
Two out of three aint bad. Calling Syesha in the bottom three took me for a loop. Totally sidewinded! I think she is extremely talented. Kristy squeeked by and then ... poor David went to the chopping block. Thank god it wasn't our David. I knew it wouldn't be anyway cuz I did something last night just after the competition that you kids should not try at home..... I went for an out of body experience to get an objective view on how the fans see Mr Archuleta.... (not drug induced by the way)
As I floated out of my body through my ceiling ... ouch that hurt... (damned lighbulb grazed me, thank god it was off.) and then hovering above the earth I saw sparks a flyin from not only North America but all over the world (I figure each spark I saw was an Archuleta fan) Did you know that David has a wopping load of fans in Japan, New Zealand and even Timbucktu? yup even Timbucktu (in Africa) Some of the sparks were like mini novas possibly finger nails breaking and igniting as they were frantically voting for David on their touchtone phones. (Sorry David... Oz was weak... guess they were all voting for Michael.)
And then Wup... I was suddenly back in my body lying face down in my bed... huge dent in my memory foam pillow. From what I saw you definitely have a worldwide fan base.
Back to the telly... It was obvious that you were really stressed out at the elimination show... you could see it in your body language... The only time I saw a genuine smile from you was when Jim Carrey (fellow canuck) hugged you all while he was being booted off the stage.
You will have alot to smile about for the next few shows cuz things are going to be smoother for you. Don't think this will be handed to you on a silver platter... you will have to work for it and want it like the air that you breath. There is some pretty strong talent that you are competing against. The judges will be tough on you, especially Simon... because deep down he wants you to win. You are definitely no Sanjiya ... you are the real package and even if the judges are tough ... your fans will keep you aloft with their votes.
Stay strong dude and knock em dead!

i love david he is adorable and he stole my heart the first time i saw him on american idol

FACE IT FOLKS = for those that have no clue, you don't somehow "decide" that you are gay - you either are or you are not. David can be 10 or 17 or 30- he doesn't say, "Geeze I think i like boys" - just as you "like" anything (food, music etc) you like it or you don't or you tend to like something or you don't These dumb comments like from Marissa, "he is only 17 he hasn't decided yet" - you are right about one thing he hasnsn't decided whether he wants to "come out" or not yet- but what he likes was decided when he was born. duh- when did anyone "decide" that they are straight? Huh? any response to the contrary is pathetic and shows your lack of intelligence. I am just thrilled that David is gay - he will be a good role model to other cute guys who want to come out. Let the topic die folks, accept who he is, give him your support and MOVE ON.

Ok, I think you are right. Actually I am laughing becuase I am such a David Fan that I have been spelling his name Archuleto (Whoops). I will admit that he is probably gay- but so what. I am still rooting for him.
