Thank you for those great compliments Mike, they really mean a lot. I think it's a shame that David doesn't read this blog anymore, because there are a lot of people on here who want nothing more than to wish him luck and perhaps ask a simple question. It's true that there has been far too much speculation on this blog about who David is and that should stop. So, David, if you do ever read this blog again, ignore those stupid comments because most just want to wish you well.

first of all, david can not be gay because we're married. I'm not sure if it's just cause youre jealous of him because people genuinely like him and you can't get any girls? wow reality check maybe you should start acting like him instead of saying things about him you don't even know? ahh great idea! clearly you have nothing better to do with your lives
anyway, david is an amazing singer and clearly an amazing person. i relisten to all of his performances seriously about 20 times a day :) I don't care what anyone has to say about him, everybody knows he has talent. Regardless if he wins american idol or not, which he definitely should, he's gonna make it.

The only reason people think David is gay is because he doesn't fit the stereotypical American model of what a straight man should be. Just because a guy is soft-spoken and well-mannered, like me, does not make them gay. If I had an amazing voice and was on one of the biggest shows in America, I would probably be acting the same way. This whole "is he gay or his he straight" question is just plain stupid. Honestly, I think it is refreshing to see such a young, humble singer who clearly doesn't know how good he, on American Idol. If anything, honest, down to earth people like David are increasingly becoming a minority in a country that now values superficiality over substance. If everyone would just stay true to themselves and not try to bend to become what society thinks they should be, this would be a better country to live in. So David, just keep being exactly who you are, because that's who America has grown to love.

Man, I read what I just wrote and I made some stupid grammar mistakes. For anyone who reads it, it may sound a bit confusing. I noticed two in particular. First, what I was meaning to say is that I think this whole "is he gay or is he straight" question is just plain stupid. Another mistake I want to correct is that I meant to say that I think it's refreshing to see a young, humble singer who clearly doesn't know how good he is, on American Idol.
P.S. I know it seems kind of dorky correcting my grammar mistakes on a blog. But if anything else this reinforces what I've been saying about just being who you are.

Hi David. First of all i think your really good and that you were great when you sang "imagine". I read the phillip story and I was shocked. i dont know wether that was true or if it was just a blogger lying. This is probably a VERY PERSONAL question but .......are you gay or not?
P.S. Hmmmm. The more i read that story the more its starting to sound fake to me. Your a sweet 17 teen year old and I know you wouldnt do sexual things like that. I hope you dont hate me for sending this. Please answer ASAP

That story "sorrydavie" wrote is without a doubt a stupid, hurtful lie. Why someone would even do something like that is beyond me. And no offense to you Olivia, but I personally don't think it's right to ask such a public figure such a personal question. It's speculation like that that has probably driven David away from reading this blog. Once again, please don't take offense to what I'm saying Olivia.

bahahahahahah i just read whatever the sorrydavie person commented but anyone can make up a ridiculous story for example once upon a time there was a jealous person who is in dyer need of some attention he decided to make up the dumbest story i think ive heard about a boy tring to share his god given talent with people who are very touched and inspired by his amazing voice and humble personality ....ha oh wait that reallly hapened! regardless if its true which its not at all, who would honestly write about someones life like that. hes amzing so maybe people should look into what hes actualy on tv for instead of making things up about his personal life yours truly aaa

Hi again david, I have the picture with ur dog as my screensaver so everytime i get on my computer i see u and ur awesome smile. When i hear u sing it gives me butterflies in my stomach. It puts me in a wonderful place i call heaven. when u smile i get chillbumps. And u r sooooooo talented and u can sing soo well and its so sweet. You should also check out that youtube thing where when u sing u make a baby stop crying. Another thing is ur voice is soooooooo pure and graceful i love to hear it. Again i wish i could meet u because i know u would sing as sweet as a bird. I am ur number one fan. My dream is for one day u will sing a song just for me. I hope u do. I love u again and plz dont believe those gay comments because u know its not true. Ill write u back soon bye and good luck in the top 12.:)

You know what, you're probably right Megan, but not about the whole being in love with David thing. I admit that I have been posting a lot on here and if it seems like I'm playing the "blog police", I apologize. People should be allowed to say what they want to on here.
I can't really go for a walk right now because we've gotten like a foot and a half of snow in the past two days. I've pretty much been shut up in the house since friday morning.

you are my hero! when you sing or you smile it can make anyone with any problem feel better. im in remission (i had cancer) and ever since your audition i feel like nothing can hold me back from my goals. the first week you sang in the top 24 i voted for you 570 times!! i believe in you and your dreams will come true. dont let anyone make you feel like you are less then anyone or anything! if i could meet anyone in the world it would be you because you seem like the type of person who puts others before themselves and that is what makes a hero not how famous they are, its their actions and who you are and what you are going to accomplish and the lives you will touch that make a hero.
you are an angel and will be in my prayers always!!
