Unbelievable power and control in this young man's voice. Coupled with very astounding personality and affability, Danny Gokey should go incredibly far. I think he has eclipsed just about every other contestant so far with the exception of Anoop Desai, whose beautiful tone and remarkable control should readily be favorites amongst watchers this season.

I just heard Danny Gokey for the first time in my life and boy, was I impressed. He is an instant winner. I thought I was listening to singer/songwriter Jeffrey Gaines! I wish him a happy and successful American Idol journey.

I thought Danny was great the first time I heard him. He may not have the best voice but I think his charismatic personality and performance ability will carry him far into the competition. I wish him so much luck!

Danny is soooo awesome and so is Jamar! I was so surprised that other people made it through last night and he didn't. Danny? danny, I believe can take this all the way! He has a wonderful spirit about him and is so talented.
