Former Frazier actor Kelsey Grammer was notified that ABC has pulled the plug on his new comedy series Hank. The show was canceled after just five episodes.

Grammer was cast as corporate executive Hank Pryor, who was let go in a downsizing and found himself spending too much time with his wife Tilly (Melinda McGraw). The sitcom was to be a humorous look at their up close and personal family interaction, but America apparently wasn’t buying into it.

This is the second short lived series by the actor after a highly successful run as psychiatrist Dr. Frazier Crane. His last attempt was the Fox sitcom Back to You with Patricia Heaton, which lasted one season. In the days following the show’s cancellation, Grammer, 54, was hospitalized for what he later described as a stress induced heart attack.

Grammer is married to former Playboy model Camille Donatacci. They have two daughters – see family photos below.
