Before Christians lined up behind Carrie Prejean, based on one statement, perhaps they should have investigated this supposed role model for inner strength. Looks like she has a history of outer, photographer nudity.

Not for nothing, Christianity is not Islam or Orthodox Judiasm. One isn't violating their religious doctrine in Christiantity by being bare of clothing.
In the instance above, she's not even remotely nude. Images like the above are commonly found on daytime programming, in case you didn't know...
I find the writer of these comments to be horribly biased and having poor journalistic integrity no better than a common paparazzi.
What Prejean said was conservative and rather narrow-minded. But it's her RIGHT to say it. It's her RIGHT to follow her beliefs. The problem here isn't her view - it's that Insurance Companies and State Legislature don't treat Civil Unions as they do Marriages. A Marriage IS a religious institution from which a state adopted the terminology.
In some instances, State Marriages are NOT recognized by the Church. If one doesn't have a church ceremony, they're not considered married "in gods eyes" as far as the chruch is concerned. The state adopted the term and coined it "legal marriage" and "civil service" - which only means one is married in so far as the law / state is concerned. There should be NO difference between a "legal marriage" and a civil union. None.
Ideally states should do away with Marriage Licensing altogether. Have everyone be joined via Civil Unions (which is the same thing - but it keeps the terms from getting confused) where the state / law is concerned and then let it be their choice / ability to have a religious ceremony depending on their circumstance. Simple as that.

As a conservative, born-again Christian (not just someone who claims to be a Christian simply because they say they "believe in God) I'm not about to defend Carrie Prejean's very bad choice to pose for lingerie ads or even to belittle herself by being in the pageant. However, though those choices were poor, they do nothing to diminish the truth of her statement on gay marriage. I am insulted that anyone thinks that civil unions or contracts are acceptable. Marriage is a union ordained by God and the government licensing is simply a legalistic method for maintaining the secular legitimacy of it (property, children, etc.). For someone to jump up, exercising intelligent dishonesty (as I've come to expect from liberals), and say, "SEE! She's a floozy and her statement against gay marriage has no legitimacy!" is simplistic. That's like a person who is a known liar telling you that the sky is blue and you saying that it simply can't be true because the guy is a liar. What a ridiculous, unintelligent argument.
I am insulted by those who say that we are "narrow-minded". It's not OUR mind at all. It is what God has said. We don't make the call, but rather go by what Scripture describes as God's nature, God's design, God's intent and His desire. Did Jesus condemn the adultress when the religious (legalistic) leaders brought her before Him? No. He JUDGED her BEHAVIOR to be unacceptable, but He did NOT condemn her. He DID say "Go and sin no more". The bottom line is that sin is sin, there are things that God's Word is MORE than clear about--homosexuality being both a sin against God AND a sin against one's own body (look it up)--and that we should be doing all that we can to avoid sin. Homosexuality is a choice. I am not alone in knowing people who use to be gay. I don't know anyone who use to be Black or Asian.
What pro-homosexual activists will not admit is that they could care less about marriage, particularly since monogamy is virtually a myth where they are concerned. They simply want to force everyone to accept their CHOICE of BEHAVIOR, and to shut the mouth of Christianity, which stands on scriptural ground in this argument (though I don't rely solely on a Biblical argument against the homosexual lifestyle).
So, if Carrie Prejean's choice to pose for lingerie ads violates her contract, then she must suffer the consequences of the violation. That's only fair. However, it does nothing to invalidate her argument against homosexual marriage. The sky is still blue, no matter whether Moses says it or Obama.

Hey Sarah, ever hear of the FBI reports that prove that child molestors are predominant in ANY profession that promises to be around children? You're an idiot singling out pedophile so-called priests who only entered the order so they could take advantage and be trusted. The statistics show that teachers, coaches, boy scout leader, camp counselors, etc are far more apt to molest your kid than the local priest, so save your bigotedness for the next fool who actually believe what you wrote.
And by the way idiots, that's not a nude photo. I've seen a lot more buying a bra and underwear on the packaging in a department store. Get real!
Perez Hilton is only a fool and sinking lower in public opinion by his degradation of freedom of speech each and every day. I love when liberals pull this crap. It only makes them show how vicious they really are.

Robert Wade Says:

"....I don't know anyone who use to be Black..." I do. Michael Jackson.
But joking aside, even as a liberal atheist, I can see your point. Marriage is an institution of the church and as such any church can, and does, decide who it will marry and who it won't. LGB's should be striving for Civil Union and forget about church recognition they will never get.
Either the bible is true or it isn't and it does indeed make the point that homosexuality is wrong. On the plus side, we can all go out and get slaves (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)(Exodus 21:2-6 NLT)(Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)(Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)(Ephesians 6:5 NLT)(1 Timothy 6:1-2 NLT)(Luke 12:47-48 NLT) and murder and rape with impunity (Judges 21:10-24 NLT)(Numbers 31:7-18 NLT)(Deuteronomy 20:10-14)(Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NAB)(Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB)(2 Samuel
12:11-14 NAB)(Deuteronomy 21:10-14 NLT)(Judges 5:30 NAB)(Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)(Zechariah 14:1-2 NAB). That's all kosher... just don't be gay, OK?
