The thing is that yes, she could and possibly will be a good mommy, but what about her childhood. She now has to skip over her adolescence and take responsibility for this baby. It's not something you should really strive for in the long run. No one can ever regain those precious years.

Jamie isn't the first person to get pregnant at 16 and not be married and will not be the last. I am sure everyone of you know someone who is not a celebrity who have been in the same situation, so why are you so down on her? She is only human. Oh, yeah, good luck Jamie!!

Well its a big Shame! teenage pregnancy is a big problem , and in some countries the consensual age is under 18! I think the problem was that she broadcasted it to OK! it kind of makes you think "hay what would you do for a bit of dosh girly".
I am sure support will be there for her in one way or another, but I am also sure that the media will rip her to pieces, resulting in a very public jail sentence for her boyfriend (to make an example for others) But I am sure it will only be for a few hours!!!!!
Maybe the problem is more about Sex education, Where is it theses days! Anybody who has had a child at the age of 16 can say how hard it is, but how they had to grow up fast. (missing there childhood)
Lets just hope she can support her child more than her sister (who I am sure is suffering from post natal depression).
And maybe people who looked up to her as a role model can learn from her mistakes. And remember to make sure the little solider wears a helmet!

Let's wait and see what happens in the next 2 weeks. If she is in the public eye and happy about it leave her alone, if she is not she will let everyone know. If she is and is not happy about it she will just disappear. Maybe these actors and actresses wouldn't be as messed up as they are if they could have a little time to themselves. I enjoy reading about them, yes, because they represent a different lifestyle, however not every minute of their lives should be on display. I mean how would you really like it if you couldn't go to the grocery store without being jumped on and asked a million questions by people you don't even know?

I feel sorry for Jamie Lynn. She has a rough road ahead of her. I hope her boyfriend steps up and helps take care of her and the baby. Even though it was a mistake that can happen to anyone, she is an example for young girls and I think Nickelodeon should let her go.

what's done is done. there's so many teenagers getting pregnant, her family probably doesnt care for any comments & it wont change anything.
the only good thing that may come out is for parents to highlight to their kids the responsibility of teenage pregnancy.

Jamie may have made a mistake but it has happened and she needs support now to make the best out of the situation she can. What gives anyone else the right to say she will be a bad mother or that her career is in tatters. She could be a great mom or a bad one but atleast give her a chance. She isnt the first 16 year old to get pregnant and she wont be the last what she needs is love and support not a crazed witch hunt by people that dont even now her. we all make mistakes but ours i certainly have but mine were not headline news, it cant be easy having everythig you do broad cast all over the world so leave her alone and give her a chance.

OH THAT'S CHRISTMAS SPIRIT SAYING F-YOU TO PEOPLE. tHE BOTTOM LINE IS ALL CHILDREN ARE MEANT TO BE RATHER THE MOM IS 16 OR 40! I wish the Spears family all the happiness in the world. Don't get me wrong I think teen pragnancy is a major problem in this country and the parents really need to start making sure there daughters are on some birth control. If you are going to allow you teen to be in the situation where it is possible to get pregnant make sure they are protected.

How many other 16 year olds in the world get pregnant all the damn time? TONS!! I work in the Obstetrics department at my local hospital and the last thing on everyones mind is "Ur so disgusting and your mother is a horrible mother!" Yeah right get real! Tons of girls get pregnant at 16. I'm not saying it's ok but it's not uncommon and the only reason it's a big deal about her is because everyone wants to make the whole Spears family look as bad as they can! Quit pointing the God Damn finger, shut your mouths and remember Karma is a bitch and if you think it won't happen to you, your daughter or anyone you know..........think again! It can happen to anyone!

First of all, everyone here who agrees that it was a bad move....good, you people are on the right track. Secondly, for all of you who say "Hey, she could be a great mom, leave her alone and give her the chance to prove she can be a good mother" need to get an intelligence boost. Yes, she could be a good mother, so could a 12 year old who babysits but you wouldn't want them to have a kid would you? You people need to get it into your heads, Casey won't be charged cause he's with a celebrity and they don't really get into the trouble that we common folk would. Honestly, if it were me that had knocked her up...pssh, I wouldn't have enough time to bring my pants back up before the cops are knocking on my door and arresting me for sexual relations with a minor. The whole situation is a joke and completely ridiculous. Casey needs to be arrested (but won't), Jamie needs to quit acting like her slutty and completely insane sister who I will also mention should not have been awarded visits to see her kids. After all she's done....it's just completely ridiculous. We all know she's a bad mother and can't even take care of herself, let alone two kids.

Yes I agree with you that Britney is old enough to make her own decisions and Jamie Lynn....I wouldn't give her as much leeway as Britney on the choice making. If you can't agree that Britney is truly a useless daughter and you think that she is a good mother and still a role model then you're more out of it than Britney is.

she does not need help all she needs is a loving family and is supporting her and she doesnt have that at the moment but in the dilevery room her mom will realize that she was the one that made the mistake cause every mom wants to be there with there daughter in the dilevery room so you need the help now im 12 and i dont think everyone realizes that sdhe needs support right now not getting ignored and everyone is ignoring her and i hate it people are just giveing up on jamie and you cant so get over the part that she is pregnant and start suppporting her god bless you all!!!
