i dont get why it is so shocking that kate spanked her daughter millions of parents particlly beat thier childern to death so all magzines it was just a spanking on the behind not the face

Why do the tabloids make a huge deal out of everything. Ridiculous! She should be able to disipline her kids how she see fit. Just because she spanks does not make her a "monster". I don't agree with the way that her and Jon are handling things but don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. Find someone else to torture...

The first poster is right, it never hurt anyone...as long as it is a given with good reason. Did Leah need a spanking should be the question. Parents are QUICKLY losing their rights in the country!

Parents get knocked for everything.. not 'disciplining' your kids gets you the "bad parenting" remark and when you DO discipline your kids it's abuse?? I agree that some parents take disciplining way too far, but if a child won't listen to his/her mother, they aren't going to listen to their teacher, their not going to respect authority.. it all starts at home. Leah wouldn't even remember this 6 months from now if it weren't for the stupid papparazi... some ppl need to get a life. I give props to Kate, if I had that many kids to take care plus EVERYTHING else she has to do, i wouldn't be taking any crap either.

She gave her a little spank on the behind. Show me a parent that hasn't done that or a child that didn't deserve it every once in a while. The media should focus on the children that are truly being beaten on a daily basis. Who's watching out for those children? Instead we're watching Kate Gosselin giving Leah a spank on the behind.

Stop hating on Kate. I love the fact that she is a strong woman, who knows what she wants and demands the best for herself and her kids. But it's funny how people from her family as well as her last boyfriend from high school are now on the front pages giving their stories about how bad of a person Kate was, I wonder how much they got paid? Kate keep your head up I know it's tough right now but it won't last, as far as you and Jon are concerned, everyone goes through a rough patch in their marriage, I've been there and it's tough and we are passing judgement on you and Jon from what we see on TV and the mags but we don't really know whats going on behind closed door, nevertheless, this is a time where you step back and look at what you really have, and I leave you with these two qutoes "To thine own self be true and The love of money is the root to all kinds of evil"
