Truth and values equals no interracial? Wow. As a product of an interracial family.. Screw u guys
While I think people are entitled to their beliefs, they are profiting from the show and giving $$ to discriminating causes (mostly anti-gay) from the profits of the show. We need more love, not less. Nothing wrong with interracial or same gender marriage. Let them be close-minded but I object to any $$ they make from the show going to discriminatory causes. And for the record I'm a straight white grandmother in my 60's. And I agree with Charlea L. Gee above. Who you love has nothing to do with truth and values. Denying your love would be untruthful and serve no purpose to mankind. And from a genetics point of view doesn't interracial mixing strengthen the gene pool? I would think so.
Settle down. If you read the comments, no one said that everything they believe is the way we should all live. The point is that EVERYONE is entitled to their own beliefs.
Yes. We are all entitled to our own beliefs. But we are not all entitled to earn huge sums of money for those beliefs on a major TV network.
Why not, the Kardashians do.
And the Kardashians are... well.. nevermind
I'd get rid of them, too.
Honey you are worth more than these freaks, stand proud in the fact that you have love and respect for others regardless of the colour of their skin 💝
Why petition ? Just stop watching ! A drastic drop in ratings is all that is needed !
GODLY PEOPLE. GODLY LIFE. GOD BLESS THEM.
CAPS LOCK PEOPLE. CAPS LOCK HEADACHE. GOD HATES CAPS LOCK.
You can step down from your stack of bibles now...Bless
They are entitled to their opions & stance just as we ALL are. Not that I agree. I don't. I believe to each their own. Who cares if a boy loves a boy & a girl loves a girl. I feel our world has bigger problems than that. Who people love shouldn't be one of them. Their choices & beliefs aren't necessarily right or wrong. It just simply THEIR choice & beliefs. As for requiring to have chaperones when their kids start dating, again is a personal choice. I deffientally, think some parents make worse parenting choices than that.

wow really. I guess that if you don't believe in something you can't express it without controversy. I have no issue with people being gay or lesbian but many religious people have issue with it. If a show gets cancelled because of that and not even on the show then there are lots wrong in the world. There are worst shows than that teen pregnancy shows, the kardashians, and shows like the bachelor which by the way has never had a gay or lesbian on it yet no one complains. Just another case of people acting like children. So much for the right to freedom of speech.
Fine. So get rid of all of the trash shows. No problem.
Honestly, would you want to see some gay dude or lesbian on the Bachelor or Bachelorette choosing between 25 dudes or lezettes? NOT ME!! NOT EVER
Where can I sign the petition!!
Here's the link -- http://www.change.org/p/the-le...
Thanks for the link. I happily signed it. Sick and tired of people like them spouting nothing but hate!
I have also signed it and know of many who will jump at the chance to rid us of these horrible hypocrites..
I'm sure you like signing things don't you, like food stamps and Obamacare!
You do more conservatives are on food stamps then liberals right?
No! I don't like signing things in particular, but this petition I will sign. I also believe that everyone should have affordable health care, call it what you will. I don't believe in food stamps however, because people take advantage of them. I believe the food stamp program needs to be revamped.
so, is there a keep the show petition ?
I would think the rampant breeding would show how screwed up these people are. I would be more interested in a show where all the kids were adopted, and how everyone copes with THAT dynamic. Not interested in religious fanatics that breed like rabbits and have to go on tv to support the outrageous family.
Penny i agree with you. Althought, it is kind of interesting to see their beliefs but i may agree because i want go adopt some kids and have my own.
Unbelievably well said - I agree with every point you made and could not have said it better. God bless! :)
I completely agree with you! The world is getting worse with morals, respect, etc. If we put God back in everything we do, the world wouldn't be like this!!
i agree with you heartedly with you to we are more worried about what our God bless them all.
thats the best response I've read! Agree 1000%
"No OUTSIDE kids"??? Is that how you refer to adopted children? Wow. How very Christian of you.
I'm not speaking about adopted kids. You're off base. I SAID this couple has had 19 kids TOGETHER within their MARRIAGE. I'm sure my comment made sense to SANE people.
I think she is talking about illegitimate children.. Are they still called that these days? All of Michelle and Jim Bob's children belong to them and them alone.. Just how intelligent and Christian are you?
Omgoodness. I am so thankful for you. I agree with you 100% and I thank God every day for people like you and pray that others will realize that it is God's intention and Satan must be defeated. If people read their Bibles as often as they read these tabloids they would know this. We don't have the right to judge anyone for their beliefs. We are only liable for our own beliefs and actions.
Amen. We have to stand up and not be afraid to speak the truth!
The children raise the children not the parents.
Are you serious? They leave when and if a child is conceived up to God.. Like everyone did before birth control.. Remember those days? You don't have to support them.. You don't have to watch their show.. You have no business commenting on anything they do.. They didn't go on TV to support their family. This family have businesses and other ventures to support themselves. You don't have to tribute one red cent.. They didn't put themselves on TV.. Lifetime did that.. It should be Lifetime's choice to remove them.. As long as God approves.. who are you to say a word against them.. Judge not lest ye be judged...
They did go on tv they could have said no and they get paid very well for being one tv too.
and why do you care what they do? You aren't paying them.. You can turn the channel and what all kinds of stuff.. But they do have their own companies and they work very hard.. You want to whine and complain? Call Lifetime....
I see you didn't even BOTHER to mention that they do not like interracial marriage, they are bullshit and racist.
I didn't mention it because Ive never seen nor heard them make statements regarding interracial marriage. Where is the video clip of that? Where is that information posted? Or are you jumping on the gossip wagon like the rest of the idiots?
Considering they are the biggest racists, I'm surprised at your post!!!
You sound like a TRUE fool. Here you have a MARRIED couple (as God intended), No kids outside of their marriage to one another ( the word was "illegitimate" back in the day), A happily married couple raising their children together and they aren't on government assistance and handling their business. What is happening to our world where married heterosexual couples are frowned upon? Has our society gotten so sick and twisted that they don't recognize that God created woman and man to procreate TOGETHER. Newsflash! This is what God intended. He created man and woman to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. People nowadays are losing their entire minds. No morals, no values and no standards for living. Anything goes. Satan is really got a choke hold on our society. We are truly living in a sinful and Godless society. SMH!

You said "No OUTSIDE kids." What are "outside kids"?
Kids that are born outside of the marriage conceived between the father or mother with another person. They used to call them illegitimate. I don't use the word but you know what I meant.

WTF?? No one was talking about illegitimate children (and no, no one calls them that now, because all children are legitimate). The post that she was responding to was about interest in a show about adopted kids.
You hit the nail on the head. I agree.
you just hate gay people
Quite the contrary....There is not one living thing on the face of the earth that I can say "I hate" except for mesquitos. As a born again Christian I cannot bring myself to be so consumed...But I do believe in God and His Word. I do believe He has commanded us to live a certain way and we have DEFINITELY strayed away from what He initially intended. I DO believe in Jesus and His teachings and WILL NOT compromise that for ANY group of people and neither should the Duggars. Trying to change what God intended is certainly not our place. I believed that BEFORE I became a Christian. Let's be clear, the practice of homosexuality is INDEED a sin just like lying, stealing, murder, etc, that's my issue and the issue of all believers like the Duggars but if you live by an "anything goes" mentality, then of course you wouldn't agree with me. Believers cannot agree with or condone the practice of ANY sin, THAT is why the picture was deleted from the Duggars page. And just because ppl are trying to get society to roll over from what God created STILL does not make it right. At the end of our lives we will ALL give an account for the life that we have lived here on earth. Then you tell God face to face that he got it all wrong...
I dont follow them but do feel that a parents job is to teach their children and prepare them from the world. They're not doing anyone any favors by keeping their children under such tight control. As a parent, you have to trust your kids and trust that your job parenting them was done well.
Clearly you don't follow them but you should before you speak to something you don't know about. Those kids are taught everything from cooking to changing a tire. I'll bet they're better prepared for the world than half of the kids in this country. Interestingly also, not one of them are overweight like the majority of kids/people in this country.
I am going to split my sides from laughing. I don't know where you live, but the idea that you consider teaching girls to cook and boys to change a tire well educated and well prepared for the world in the 21st century is absolutely hysterical. 1950, maybe--not 2014.
If you saw the show instead of speaking uninformed, you'd have seen that the GIRLS were taught how to change a tire. How many boys or girls in 2014 can do that?
I have seen the show. I disagree that learning to cook or change a tire is preparation for life in the world. How about a college education? How about a basic understanding of science? How about exposure to people who are different from you? How about learning about independence? These are preparation for the world. Changing a tire and learning to cook are about being prepared for driving and housekeeping, and not much else.
Why do you watch the show if you're so against them? Bottom line, to each his own. They're not doing anything illegal or affecting you directly in any way. Life is short, watch something you like, and then post about how great it is.
They're not doing anything affecting me directly in any way? They're actively lobbying and donating money to remove all rights that LGBT people have gained, and supporting a hate group that works tirelessly to try to make sure that I don't have equal rights. That affects me directly.
And to answer your question, I answer the show for the same reason that i watch any anthropological study and to be well informed about those who would destroy my marriage, my right to be with my child, and my community.
That said, go be with your wife. Go be with your child. Seems odd you'd rather watch a show you don't like, take more time to complain about it here instead of spending time with your family which I assume would make you happier? Maybe deep down you really do like the show.......
My child is in school. My spouse is at work. My work is independent and is social-media related. In addition to my work, I am an activist, committed to justice. Watching the show takes about 8 hours over the course of a year...not that much of an investment.
Does that 8 hours include all of your time here, and all of your time spent worrying about a family that you claim to not care for?
I don't spend one second worrying about the Duggars. Like I said, my "time here" is just a five or ten minutes in the course of a day in which I am writing and working on issues related to social media.
Why is it that nobody is allowed to have their own beliefs anymore? Just because someone's beliefs don't match yours does not make them wrong. I agree with the comments here, if you don't like them, don't watch, don't read about them, do your own things and leave them alone!
I agree with you. While I find some of their ways of doing things rather outrageous, it is their lives, not mine. They should be able to believe what they want, even if I don't completely understand their ways. I am tired of hearing about them, but no more so than any of the Kardashians, Honey BooBoo, and other reality shows. This is why I don't have cable. People have got to learn to tolerant of others, even when their views clash.
I am beyond tired of that "why is it we can't have our own beliefs" line. No one is telling anyone they can't have their beliefs. The Duggars will go on having their beliefs, without interference from anyone, whether they're on television or not--their rights to "have their own beliefs" is not being challenged or infringed. What's happening is that the public, which watches TLC (a network, not a religion), doesn't want TLC supporting discrimination and intolerance. TLC pays the Duggars. The Duggars use that money to donate to organizations that actively work to deny others THEIR rights. If you've studied basic math, you can figure out that TLC is, in effect, supporting those organizations as well, since they're providing the money. Viewers have every right to tell a network what they want to see and what they don't want to see, and what policies they think a network should support. It's got nothing to do with watching or not watching, and it's got NOTHING do to with whether they're allowed to have their beliefs or not.
The money they make from the show is THEIR money. When you get your paycheck no one tells you what you can and can not do with it. You can donate it or spend it on anything you choose. Why are they any different? They are entitled to their own beliefs. If you don't like them don't watch them. Your television does have other channels. Use your remote!
If that's the case then I want my five wives cancelled. I don't agree with it at all but instead of throwing a fit I just don't watch it!! Simple enough.
If you think it should be cancelled, and feel strongly enough about it, you should write a letter to the network. If you don't care, fine. People feel strongly about the Duggars being off the air, so they are acting on it. Simple enough.
Honey Boo-Boo (another stupid show) was just cancelled. Why? Because the family did something unethical, and the network didn't want any part of that. That's how people feel about the Duggars too. It's not far-fetched.
When gay couples posted their pictures, they didn't do it for any reason other than to start this crap storm. Don't tell me that those who posted didn't realize who the Duggars are! They are known for their moral tenacity and belief in Biblical marriage. Gays think they can push their way into things like this and then whine when someone disagrees with their lifestyle.
Whats wrong is they basically insulted people. Believe what you want but no need in insulting people based on their skin color or sexual preference period.
