Mary, thank you for your comment. I love hearing from people who actually KNOW Clay, even more than his fans do. Knowing the real guy from before Idol turned his life upside down and made him a target for all the overgrown bullies out there, I'll bet you just shake your head in disbelief at times at what "they say."
Gossip is wrong. It makes the whole world a dirtier place.
Look at that smile! I love that man & his happy self!
After his travels for UNICEF to some of the neediest parts of the world, I'm sure his heart can use the big dose of joy brought by seeing his little one learn and grow.
Congratulations on the latest Aiken/Foster collaboration ;^)
Maybe Clay & Jaymes aren't a "traditional" family, but they've known each other for several years, have traveled & worked together, and apparently have formed quite a close bond. Everybody knows just getting a license and having a legal wedding doesn't guarantee that! (tho we don't know if they are or aren't married anyway, since he chooses to keep his personal business to himself, which frustrates the tabloids so they go after him like he's some sort of freak. Whatever.) More power to them, and best of luck in finding happiness in this sad, twisted society! I just hope he still wants to entertain & sing for us.
Ashley, age is a state of mind. Wait till you're 50 and see if you feel that number makes you "old".
I've met Jaymes face-to-face and would have guessed her at least a decade younger than she is.
I'm in my mid-50s and get mistaken for my 30s often. On my son's 15th birthday I was asked if I was old enough to order a drink. And a couple of years ago my son-in-law (Clay's age btw) was asked if I was his wife.
Some people are born with "young" genes and age better than others. You can do things to help too, like drinking plenty of water & avoiding suntanning. Real sun or fake is NOT your skin's friend. It dries it up and takes away its elasticity. You might think you look better now, but just wait a few years. Sunglasses cut back on facial wrinkles (and cataracts too.) and SMILES use fewer face muscles than frowns. Glad that Jaymes has so much to smile about these days! Now, if she can still work in a good night's sleep she'll be good to go!
