Let's not be catty and prudish, people. I've seen lots of other women kiss their female friends on the lips in greeting, both inside and outside of Hollywood. Of course the media would spin this into a 'story' and make something harmless like this seem like a scandal. @Samantha: you obviously don't even know what a whore is. And your claim that she's using Liam for his fame is bullshit. They met and started dating LONG BEFORE Liam got that role in the Hunger Games. Those of you who think she's 'out of control' and 'a trainwreck waiting to happen' must be very sheltered and puritanical. Miley Cyrus is actually pretty tame compared to a lot of other celebrities, and the truth is that the average person in her age group isn't as straight-laced and innocent as you think.
This isn't a lot of photoshop, and she doesn't look borderline unrecognizable. Anyone who knows her could easily tell that it's her. Recent photos- not just this one- show that she's been steadily losing weight over the past couple of months. I think she looks fabulous.
The critics and the ones calling her a whore (and other similar slurs) for this are ignorant prudes. This is not 'bad behavior' and it doesn't mean she's out of control. She's an actress and a singer. Miley Cyrus is not the first star or model to pose nude and she won't be the last. Marilyn Monroe, Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Anniston, and Demi Moore are just a few of many who have posed nude or semi-nude, most of them more than once. Would you all be calling them whores for posing like this? The truth is that most celebrities pose nude or semi-nude at some point during their careers. Miley Cyrus is no different. The bare human form is not a bad thing. It's kind of silly that so many people are still this scandalized by the bare human body in 2012, especially since we've all seen this sort of thing many times and especially since her privates aren't even visible.
@Marlie: You say that like it's a bad thing when it's not. Attention-seeking is NORMAL for celebrities and practically a requirement for being a pop star. Attention-seeking isn't necessarily a bad thing. She's no more of an attention-seeker than your average star.
@jaan black: You don't know her or him. You don't know anything about their engagement. You're just making assumptions based on your biased puritanical mentality, and you sound bitter.
@random: You obviously don't know what a whore means. Either you're uneducated and can't think for yourself, or you're a prude who assumes that if a woman rejects abstinence and modesty, she's automatically a whore.
Dyeing your hair doesn't make you insecure, and having blonde hair doesn't make you stupid.
Easily buying into steretypes does.
