4/20 Tribute: Who's Your Favorite Celebrity Stoner?
4/20. It's a great day to be high ... on life here at THG.
While the origins of 420 remain hotly debated, but no matter where the term came from, peeps associate it with smoking massive amounts of the marijuana!
So be it then. The 20th day of April has become a de facto holiday, and for good reason. What more of a justification do you need to celebrate than that?
With that in mind, The Hollywood Gossip salutes some famous individuals who have been known to puff the herb from time to time. Some even inhale ...
Soulja Boy. Soulja Boy's rep explains the above image, Tweeted this week, as being taken inside of a California marijuana dispensary earlier this month.
Soulja allegedly just wanted a pic and didn't try to buy any of it ... but the guy was also arrested recently with major amounts of weed, guns and cash.
Bobbi Kristina Brown. The worst thing about the Bobbi Kristina Brown bong video that recently surfaced? Few people were actually surprised by it.
After all, if anyone knows how to clear a three-foot piece with relative ease ... okay that was still pretty surprising. Girl needs to get some help ASAP.
Bill Clinton. As President of the United States, William Jefferson Clinton presided over the largest peacetime economic expansion in American history.
But boy, was he a terrible liar. The Lewinsky debacle was technically worse (with perjury charges and all), but "I didn't inhale" was his most absurd moment.
Zach Galifianakis on January Jones: Rude, Undoable!
Zach Galifianakis is bound to make audiences laugh in The Hangover Part II, as evidenced by that film's official trailer.
But the actor grew serious over the weekend when asked for his thoughts on January Jones. He told Shortlist about an encounter with the Mad Men star:
"if I remember correctly, she and I were very rude to each other. It was crazy. I was at a party - I'd never met her - and she was like, 'Come sit down.' So I sit at her table and talk for 10 minutes, and she goes, 'I think it's time for you to leave now.'"
And how did the funny man reply?
"I say, 'January, you are an actress in a show and everybody's going to forget about you in a few years, so f--king be nice' and I got up and left."
Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bieber Lead List of Webby Award Winners
The Webby Awards were doled out recently, honoring the best in viral videos. Aside from Sexy Sax Man not making the list, the winners were deserving.
Zach Galifianakis, Steve Carell and Lisa Kudrow led the charge with the most wins this year, while Justin Bieber won one for taking over the universe.
This year’s overall top winner? Funny or Die. The site co-founded by Will Farrell is certainly more funny than worthy of death, winning eight awards.
The Full List of Celebrity Winners Include:
Zach Galifianakis: Best Web Personality for “Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis” (Webby Award); Best Comedy Individual Short or Episode for “Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis: Steve Carell” (Webby Award)
Happy 4/20 From THG's Top 10 Celebrity Stoners!
It's 4/20, baby. You know what that means, right? THG does.
Well, sort of. The origins of 420 are hotly debated, but no matter where the term came from, people associate it with smoking massive amounts of weed!
As such, the 20th day of April has become a de facto holiday.
With that in mind, The Hollywood Gossip salutes 10 famous individuals who have been known to puff the herb from time to time. Some even inhale ...
10. Bill Clinton. As President of the United States, William Jefferson Clinton presided over the largest peacetime economic expansion in American history.
But boy, was he a terrible liar. The Lewinsky debacle was technically worse (what with perjury charges and all), but "I didn't inhale" was pretty legendary.
9. Jeff Bridges. He played The Dude! Enough said, really. But to further our argument for his inclusion, we suggest reading these Big Lebowski quotes.
Zach Galifianakis Lights Up on TV
Tomorrow in California, residents will vote on a ballot initiative to legalize marijuana.
Such an action would bring in billions of dollars per year to the debt-ridden state, although opponents of the drug still believe it would be wrong to treat it like alcohol. It's safe to say Zach Galifianakis is not a member of this latter group.
The Due Date star appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher Friday night and lit up a joint on the HBO talk show. He then passed it to conservative panelist Margaret Hoover, who took a smell and couldn't stop laughing over the stunt. Watch it now:
What do you think of Galifianakis's actions?

Did Zach Galifianakis Torpedo Mel Gibson Cameo in The Hangover 2?
Mel Gibson was set to play a small role in The Hangover 2 until the film's producers unexpectedly cut Mel's cameo, citing unrest among the cast and crew.
It's unclear who specifically objected, but rumors are swirling that Zach Galifianakis - whose Hangover quotes pretty much made the original - is behind it.
In a Comedy Death-Ray Radio podcast October 15, Zach lamented that, as an actor, "you don’t have a lot of control" over elements of a film's production.
Moreover, "I’m in a deep protest right now with a movie I’m working on, up in arms about something," Galifianakis said. "But … I’m not making any leeway.”
Combined with director Todd Phillips’ comment that Gibson “did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew,” you can see how that rumor started.
Galifianakis' manager had no comment on this, nor did Phillips, who was excited to have Gibson on board. The move has sparked outcry from some fans.
Supporters note that Mel, despite his issues, hasn't been charged with a crime, unlike Mike Tyson, who had a role in the first Hangover and raped someone.
Regardless of Zach's involvement, should Mel have lost the role?
