It takes a lot to upstage Zac Efron.

Any time the actor is on stage, all eyes are typically on this High School Musical hottie.

At last night's MTV Movie Awards, however, Efron accepted the award for Best Male Performance immediately following Bruno's bare-assed embrace of Eminem. As as result, the theater was still buzzing over the rapper's less-than-enthusiastic response to being dry humped by the latest Sacha Baron Cohen character.

Bruno actually made an appearance earlier in the evening, as well, posing for photographers on the red carpet.

Who looked better?

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we have a Zac Efron spotting.

The teen sensation made it out to watch the L.A. Lakers win Game 5 against the Denver Nuggets last night. It was tied at the end of the first three quarters, before the Lakers went on to pull out a 103-94 victory.

Efron grew up in California and has been a lifelong Lakers fan, making the victory that much sweeter.

The only disappointing part of the night was that Efron didn’t bring long-time girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens with him to this game like he usually does.

As always, Zac got pretty into the game. You can see how the Lakers are doing just by watching his (adorable!) face...

We know what you're thinking, ladies: You'd make sweet, passionate love to Zac Efron even if he was bald or rocked a mohawk.

We understand. We've seen those eyes, too.

Still, when the actor showed up for an international premiere of 17 Again this week sporting a new, slicked-back hairstyle, he must have known it would be critiqued.

Zac Efron has many reasons to smile today.

His most recent movie, 17 Again, opened at the top of the box office.

His favorite basketball team, the Los Angeles Lakers, defeated the Utah Jazz in the opening game of the playoffs yesterday, 113-100, behind 24 points from Kobe Bryant and 21 points from Trevor Ariza.

And his girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, is downright beautiful.

The couple known as "Zanessa" took in the aforementioned game from the front row, yet another perk of being young, beautiful and rich in Hollywood...

A week after Miley Cyrus and her Hannah Montana movie earned record-breaking revenue, Zac Efron is proving that we really are living in a tween world.

The handsome actor has found success with his first post-High School Musical role, as 17 Again finished first at the box office.

The film - which also stars Matthew Perry and Leslie Mann - raked in $24.1, easily knocking off State of Play (featuring Hollywood heavyweights such as Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck), which came in second with $14.1 million.

Way to go, Zac!

As part of his promotion for 17 Again, Zac Efron answered a series of fan questions, submitted to People, this week.

Among the topics covered by the actors were his typical workouts, his dreams as a kid and his nightlife preferences. Here are a few excerpts from the Q&A:

On his workout routine: I like backpacking, hiking, surfing, swimming, playing tennis – things that get you active and are also fun. If I do go to the gym I usually do circuit training.

On professional as a child: When I was a kid, I wanted to be a professional baseball player, or an astronaut, or be in the X Games. I thought Tony Hawk was the coolest guy alive.

On releasing an album: I'm not going to pretend that I'm a music prodigy. I would want an album to come from me, not from writers or other producers. I definitely don't possess those skills and right now. I just don't have the time.

On avoiding clubs: I'm not really into partying. Don't get me wrong – I've gone to a club. But I'd much rather be with my close friends at home or a concert, or on a trip. I'll go dancing with my grandma. She likes to cut a rug!

But the two sides of Zanessa never look better than when spotted together, which took place earlier this week at the Hollywood premiere for 17 Again. It's Efron first, post-High School Musical starring role.

Not that Zac even had time for Vanessa, unfortunately. He had to satisfy the contingent of crazed fans that showed up on the red carpet. He appears to be making one girl's life by signing an autograph for her here...

Efron and Hudgens weren't the only young stars to show up for the event. They were joined by friend Corbin Bleu, Brittany Snow, The Jonas Brothers and even this season's American Idol finalists.

There are only two words we can think of to describe the photos of Zac Efron in the latest issue of GQ:

Hubba. Hubba.

Inside the magazine, the actor is asked about life in Hollywood, and he provides an interesting, confusing answer:

“It’s crazy, all the stuff that happens down there. It’s the American dream. I mean, it’s beautiful. But it’s so f—ed up. Up here, everything’s green. And down there, it’s crazy.”

We're not sure what that means, but we assume most female readers aren't too interested in Efron's words. They just wanna see his face.

Zac Efron took a large step toward mainstream fame last night.

The actor hosted Saturday Night Live, poking a bit of fun at his young fan base and the Disney franchise that made him famous.

Without crossing any lines, or biting the proverbial hands that have fed him, Efron seemed relaxed and hilarious during his stints on stage.

We have no idea how, but Zac Efron says he sometimes gets sick of seeing his (very handsome) face.

"I didn't want to be famous," the actor told USA Today. "I get sick of seeing my own face around."

That's refreshing to hear. Can you imagine Miley Cyrus making the same statement?

"I used to get so frustrated. For a while, I felt like I was completely lost in celebrity-land," Efron said. "I didn't know how to handle it. Now I know that I have to plot where I'm going, when I'm going there and where the back entrance is. It's like I'm playing a giant game of tag."

The star's latest plot involves the film 17 Again, which opens on April 17. He says it helps him "shift into adult material."

"I'm definitely not the best actor in the world at this point," he said. "But hopefully, with time and effort and smart decisions, that will change."
