Matt Hardy Arrested Again, Enrolling in Rehab
Following yet another arrest, Matt Hardy is headed to rehab.
The professional wrestler, who was booked on suspicion of DUI last month, was actually led back to the police last week after his girlfriend, Reby Sky, called 911 because she was concerned Hardy "was strung out on pills."
Authorities subsequently obtained a search warrant for Hardy's house and found prescription painkillers in a safe, along with 20 vials of anabolic steroids and some ecstasy. Hardy turned himself in on Monday, posted bail and then released the following video, which says he's embarking on a three-month rehab program paid for by the WWE:
UPDATE: Reby says she was coerced by police into turning her boyfriend in, telling TMZ she "would never do anything to put [Matt] in a compromising position with the law."
Kurt Angle Offers Proof of Mistaken Arrest
Kurt Angle will not submit to the charges against him.
The TNA wrestler was arrested early Sunday morning for DUI, but he isn't merely maintaining his innocence in the face of that incident - he's offering proof that no illegal activity occurred!
TNA has obtained the state of Virgina's Certificate of Blood Alcohol Analysis, and it lists Kurt's B.A.C. at .06 at the time of his arrest. The legal limit in Virgina is .08.
Why did a motorist report the former Olympic Gold Medalist was swerving?
"I was returning from an iMPACT Wrestling show in an unfamiliar place, late at night and was trying to find the exit for my hotel," Angle says in a statement. "I fully cooperated with the officer who clearly recognized me while performing his standard procedures. Subsequent to the stop, I was asked to submit to a breathalyzer test and passed. I do not believe that I broke any laws and will be entering a plea of not guilty in response to any pending charges."
Kurt Angle Arrested for Drunk Driving
Kurt Angle has been pinned by the law once again.
The former Olympic Gold Medalist and WWE star, and current TNA employee, was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of drink driving.
The wrestler's rental car was spotted swerving on I-66 by another vehicle, the driver of which dialed 911. Virginia State Troopers subsequently arrived on scene, pulled Angle over and took him to Warren County Jail, where he was later released on $2,000 bond.
Angle was previously arrested in March charged with “being in control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated,” after parking on a median and failing a field sobriety test. He was also booked (though later acquitted) in 2007 for DUI and careless driving.
Cause of Death Determined in Passing of Randy Savage
Macho Man Randy Savage was suffering from an enlarged heart at the time of his death last month, a coroner determined yesterday, likely a major factor in why the former WWE star lost control of his vehicle and crashed.
While the investigation is not officially closed, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has ruled that Savage was suffering from artherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. A tox screen was also performed and did not reveal anything out of the ordinary.
Scott Hall to Spend Two Days in Jail
Hey, yo, Scott Hall is headed to jail.
The former WWE/WCW/TNA star will spend two days behind bars for his role in a Florida bar argument last May, as Hall was arrested for being uncooperative with police when they intervened to stop him from screaming at fellow patrons.
Yesterday, a judge in Seminole County sentenced Hall to 10 days in prison for the incident, reducing that figure to two days for time served.
Hall played a key role in arguably the most shocking wrestling event on record: when Hulk Hogan turned heel at the 1996 Bash at the Beach. Watch the video above to relive that iconic moment.
The Warrior Rants Against "Dope Head," Wife-Swapping Hulk Hogan
The Warrior is really intent in reviving his decades-old fed with Hulk Hogan. Only this one is taking place outside of the ring.
A week after the former WWE grapper randomly went off on the iconic star, The Warrior has done so again, this time in a far more detailed, scathing diatribe that labels Hogan as a "dope head" and says he once offered up his wife to The Warrior for sex.
In this video - a preview of a much longer attack to come - The Warrior gives specific details of Hogan's supposedly lewd ways. Does he offer any evidence? Of course not.
For his part, Hulk continues to take the high road. He Tweeted this morning: "I have no interest to even lower myself to communicate with [Warrior]."
Sean Waltman, Former WWE Star, Admits to Childhood Molestation
Sean Waltman, who wrestled in the WWE for years under the name "X-Pac," took to his blog today to make a stunning admission:
He was molested repeatedly as a child, from the age of five to the age of 12.
Waltman opened up in praise of fellow grappler Mick Foley, who has been working with the Rape Abuse & Incest Network. He wrote:
"The most psychologically damaging incidents came at the hands of an adult male who actually brought me to my first pro wrestling match."
WWE Stars Mourn the Death of Randy Savage
They may grapple with each other in the ring, but WWE superstars also form a relationship that is unique from almost all other professions.
Therefore, in the wake of Macho Man Randy Savage's death, numerous wrestlers have paid tribute to the former champion via Tweets and statements. Led by Hulk Hogan, they read:
He had so much life in his eyes & in his spirit, I just pray that he's happy and in a better place and we miss him.
The Rock: RIP Randy "Macho Man" Savage – you were one of my childhood inspirations and heros [sic]. Strength, love and prayers to the Savage/Poffo family.
John Cena: CeNation. The untimely passing of Randy Savage is indeed tragic. All true fans of wrestling will mourn this loss. One of the all time greats.
The folks behind Slim Jim, for whom Macho Man starred in a series of commercials, also had this to say about his passing:
"We're saddened by the loss. Randy was a beloved ambassador for the Slim Jim brand for many years and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time."
Snooki Drops the HAMMER on Wrestlemania Foe
As Snooki's WWE debut proved, she didn't step into the ring just to get tossed around and pummeled like some punk b!tch. Her encore effort? Equally strong.
Girl unleashed serious black-flippin', ass-whippin' action on her Wrestlemania foe this weekend, crushing a supposed wrestling star with her pint-sized fury.
Michelle McCool got a butt-full of the Snook Monster, who put her cheerleading background to good use, leaving a stunned McCool senseless on the mat.
That's when the Jersey Shore star delivered another acrobatic move to pinned her opponent down and seal the victory. Watch the 4'9" firecracker's dominate:
Angelina Pivarnick to Snooki: You Fat Troll!
Ex-Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick, who tried to eke out another few seconds of fame in the TNA wrestling circuit herself, is totes jealous of Snooki.
After watching Snooki's debut on WWE Monday - during which Snook actually wrecked shop and set up a showdown at Wrestlemania - Ange is livid.
Pivarnick calls her a “fat troll” who's ripping her off by jumping in the ring, and says it's obvious that Snook has been jealous of her since day one.
Angelina also says that her enemy should "never wear those shorts."
Ooh. Fightin' words. These two need to throw down circa Season 2 ...
