Whitney Houston's increasingly bizarre behavior continued Sunday as the star's comeback tour brought her to Simon Cowell's UK reality show X Factor.

Thankfully for all involved, the incident wasn't X-rated. But it was close. Whitney Houston did experience a wardrobe malfunction as her dress nearly fell off.

Really. "I sang myself out of my clothes," Houston joked afterward.

X Factor viewers almost - so close! - got to see Whitney Houston nude.

Hey, dresses fall off. Just ask Lindsay Lohan. These things happen sometimes.

But like her Good Morning America debacle, it was Whitney Houston's lackluster performance all around that was even more puzzling to X Factor fans.

Is this woman drunk, or just cashing paychecks and phoning these shows in? If so, her new song's title, "Million Dollar Bill," is appropriate, if ironic.

Some comeback performances are so moving, they leave you longing for the days of yore and simultaneously marveling at how good the stars still are.

Anyone who saw Whitney Houston on Good Morning America and its summer concert series this week knows that was not one of those comebacks. No.

Voice cracking constantly and leaning on the audience to hit the high notes, Whitney reminded us that some singing careers are better left to history.

The great Whitney Houston performed her first comeback show this morning for Good Morning America in New York City's Central Park, and boy the audience killed.

Yep, the audience. The appreciative crowd, happy to see their hero back on stage after ... well, a really long time, helped her out by singing all the high notes. Woo!

Whitney Houston reportedly cut the GMA concert short because of a strained voice, but later said via her rep that "she only committed to two songs," but sang four.

We hope her rendition of "I'm Every Woman" was the third or fourth ...

Kim Kardashian who? Ray J looked like his romance with Whitney Houston was going strong at West Hollywood nightclub Villa last weekend.

“They sat very close together. She only had eyes for him,” says an insider. “At one point, she placed her hand on his leg.” You go, Ray!

The source adds that Whitney Houston only drank water that night and looked very happy, and that Ray J was very affectionate.

Another friend says that while their odd relationship sometimes appears rocky, the two never stray too far from each other.

“They’re on and off, but it’s never really over between them,” the pal tells In Touch. “They always pick up where they left off.”

One can only hope a second Ray J sex tape is in the works.

On Saturday night in Las Vegas, the most controversial choice in the Bernard Hopkins vs. Joe Calzaghe boxing match wasn't the split decision in favor of Calzaghe.

It was the public display of commitment that Whitney Houston showed to Ray J.

As you can see below, at least one fan in attendance thought to herself: What the heck is this former, respectable, chart-topping singer doing with the guy solely knowing for videotaping himself having sex with Kim Kardashian?

The only answers The Hollywood Gossip staff has come up with involve boot-knocking and drug-taking. Anyone else have any theories?

Don't cry for Ray J.

While his ex-girlfriend and sex tape costar Kim Kardashian has moved on with Reggie Bush, Brandy's little brother is doing alright for himself: he's having sex with Whitney Houston and taunting Bobby Brown about it.

In Ray J's album "All I Feel" (we'll give you a moment to digest the fact that Ray J has made an album), he sings the song "Boyfriend." In it, there are clear lyrics directed at Houston's ex-husband:

Is that your wife, is that your shorty, well I'm her boyfriend... I think the problem is you don't beat it right... Making love is cool, just pull her hair sometimes.

As you can see, Ray J makes up for a lack of a rhyme scheme with words of wisdom from which we all can learn.

Sorry, Megan Fox. I'll pull your hair next time.

When nude, Kim Kardashian holds nothing back.

But put clothes on the big-breasted, large-assed socialite and she appears grow reticent. Case in point: An interview yesterday with Los Angeles based hip-hop station 93.5 KDAY.

In it, the former sex tape partner of Ray J obviously wanted to rip into his new girlfriend, but Kardashian didn't really sharpen the claws for a fun catfight with Whitney Houston.

Instead, this former close pal of Paris Hilton insisted that she has no beef with Whitney, but then used a line from one of the diva's hits to describe her feelings about the situation: "It's not right, but it's okay - I'm going to make it anyway."

Come on, Kim. That's the best you can do? We hope you at least go film yourself having sex with Houston's ex, Bobby Brown, in order to enact some revenge.

Of course, who knows why Kardashian would have any beef in the first place? Her and Ray J broke up awhile ago and she's recently been seen sticking her tongue as far down the mouth of Reggie Bush as Ray stuck his... nevermind.

What's next? Kim gets passive aggressively angry at Selita Ebanks for marrying another ex, Nick Cannon?

The prerogative here is a fast divorce.

Sorry. The long-overdue dissolution of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was approved on Wednesday and will become final on April 24.

In addition, Orange County, Calif., Judge Franz E. Miller awarded custody of the couple's 14-year-old daughter, Bobbi Christina Brown, to Houston.

Brown, 40, and Houston, 43, have been married for 14 years, some of which were not so bad.

At times dabbing her eyes with a tissue during the court session, Whitney Houston testified that she did not require spousal or child support and that Bobbi Kristina could not depend on her father.

"He's unreliable," Houston said of Brown. "If he says he's going to come, sometimes he does. Usually he doesn't."

Yes, calling Bobby Brown unreliable is like calling the sky blue, Sanjaya Malakar an awful singer or Kristin Cavallari hot. But we understand Whitney's point.

Houston declined to comment to reporters after the hearing. Attorney Ram Cogan, representing Brown (who did not attend the hearing, really driving Houston's point home), will file a petition on behalf of his client to overturn the judge's decision.

Whitney Houston filed for legal separation from Bobby Brown on September 8, and then filed for divorce in mid-October.

On December 28, she requested a default judgment to fast-track the dissolution of the marriage.

Since their separation, Houston has been recording a new album with J Records president Clive Davis in Los Angeles. And possibly doing the nasty with Ray J.

Brown, meanwhile, has kept a low profile after being seen last fall along with Mekhi Phifer and Stacey Dash on the Los Angeles film set of Nora's Hair Salon II. But just days after the split from his wife, Brown told People, "I'm really saddened by the whole situation."

On February 25, Brown was arrested and jailed in Massachusetts after failing to appear in court and pay child support fines. He owed money to ex-girlfriend Kim Ward, who lives in Massachusetts and with whom he has two teen children: LaPrincia and Bobby III.

He was released after paying $19,150 and spending three nights in the Norfolk County jail. No word on whether Karrine Steffans posted bail.

Dinner with Bobby Brown and her kids is one thing.

But don't think Whitney Houston will always love her ex-husband. After all, a diva just wants to dance with somebody ... that is best known for his sex tape exploits.

Quieting rumors that her no holds barred, every position imaginable, sexual romp romance with Ray J is finished, Whitney is seen here giving Brandy's brother a very clear message: Call me and I'll make you forget all about Kim Kardashian nude.

We hope Ray J is making the most of his time in the spotlight. If talk of a Sopie Anderton sex tape prove true, his exploits on camera may soon be forgotten about faster than Tami Gosnell on American Idol.

We love when crazy ex's get together, smile for the cameras, put aside petty issues such as Karrine Steffans and celebrate as a family.

That's exactly what Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston recently did, as they spent a night on the town together alongside birthday girl - and daughter - Bobbi Kristina.

It's nice to see former drug addicts getting along.

It's far too late, however, for this pair to be included in any of our cuteness comparisons.

We'd take Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer over Bob and Whit any time.

And let's not even try to compare them to Brangelina, alright?

That's an insult to Angelina Jolie and adoptive mothers everywhere.
