It's hard to say who celebrity gossip readers hate more: Spencer Pratt or Tameka Foster?

Okay, the answer is most likely the awful fiance of Heidi Montag. But the woman Usher is set to marry isn't exactly a fan favorite, either.

Therefore, the singer felt the need to pen an open letter to People magazine in which he defended his relationship and criticized all the false celebrity news out there regarding it.

One issue: The report by the New York Post that the couple is planning to marry at the end of July in the Hamptons. While Usher won't divulge a wedding date, he says: "Since my wedding day will be special to Tameka and I, this is information that we would like to keep private."

Another topic is radio host Tom Joyner's claim that Usher threatened him. According to the New York Daily News, Joyner said Usher threatened to "whup my a--" after he joked about rumored tension between Foster and Usher's mother, Jonetta Patton. Says Usher: "I have never threatened or harassed anyone from any media format."

Finally, Usher wants to make it clear that Foster is not running his life; she isn't the alcohol to his Britney Spears. If you can follow that metaphor.

"I am happy, excited, completely clear and independent on my direction, feelings, decisions and I am not being led."

It's disturbing that the media and bloggers (under the guise as 'fans') continuously speculate on the personal aspects of my life, therefore making assumptions and wrong insinuations that my fans are subject to believe.

What was previously celebrity gossip can now be classified as celebrity news: Tameka Foster is pregnant.

Just a week after hinting that babies could be in the future for herself and Usher, the engaged couple has announced to the Associated Press and People that they're expecting their first child together, due in the fall.

"We are extremely excited at this point in our lives planning our wedding and the joy that comes with expecting our first child together," Usher and Foster said in a statement released to the Associated Press Wednesday. "We hope people will be happy for us and respect our privacy during this happy period in our lives."

A controversial fianceee, Tameka Foster hasn't exactly been welcomed the arms of her true love's fans. They call her a gold-digger and an ugly person, insults typically reserved for Heather Mills.

"What people don't realize is that Usher and I were friends for nearly seven years and I worked as his personal stylist for five years. I was the only female friend he felt he could talk to," Tameka recently told Essence magazine, as she tried to defend their relationship.

When asked about plans for babies like little Sam Alexis Woods, Foster added: "Yes, I do plan to have children with Usher. This is the man I love and plan to spend the rest of my life with, so why wouldn't I want to share that bond of bringing another life into this world with him?"

This will be the fourth child for Foster as she attempts to rival Shar Jackson for largest litter.

How will Usher's fans react to the news? Probably as well as Trista Sutter reacted to the idea of cameras filming her pregagncy.

Not every Hollywood couple is as beloved as Francois-Henri Pinault and Salma Hayek.

Some pairings generate a great deal of controversy among celebrity gossip followers. Perhaps none more so than Usher and Tameka Foster.

Recently, the engaged twosome were shopping for sunglasses at the Solstice Sunglass Boutique in Beachwood, Ohio. The sexy singer bought five new pairs of aviator shades, all of which he had the chance to model at the recent 30th birthday party for good friend Kanye West.

Usher and Tameka were just two of the numerous guests in attendance, as West and fiancee Alexis Phifer actually performed together.

Days before the actor was dropped from Grey's Anatomy, People magazine reports that he and his lady dined at Santa Monica's One Pico restaurant at the Shutters on the Beach hotel, enjoying an ocean view at their table as they talked passionately over red wine and Pellegrino.

Maybe they were even talking about another celebrity couple that's hated on by the public.

After all, if Isaiah can go off on T.R. Knight, it's easy to see him bashing the heck out of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, isn't it?

Let's just hope he left Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery alone. Those two have enough to deal with as they battle her anorexia rumors.

The former member of TLC has been out of the news for awhile, as recent photos of her are about as difficult to come by as Jayden James pics.

But we tracked down a shot of her with Usher (right). And we paired it with one of the singer and Foster (below). Now it's up to you, Tameka haters: Which do you prefer?

Tameka Foster is sporting some impressive company these days.

Just look at that rock on her finger! Oh, and that's fiance Usher walking alongside the stylist, too.

Despite receiving harsh rebukes from fans, Tameka doesn't look phased. Many readers of The Hollywood Gossip have compared Foster with Heather Mills, accusing her of marrying Usher just for his money (and killer abs, of course).

But why is Tameka on the receiving end of such criticism? While other famous fiancees, such as Alexis Phifer get off with nothing but congratulatory phone calls? It may have something to do with the fact that Foster is pregnant ... but not in the typical, loving way someone such as Elisabeth Hasselbeck is.

Instead, Tameka is carrying the child of her ex-husband. That's always awkward. And leads some to believe she is simply desperate for a (preferably rich) man in her life.

But who are we to judge? The Hollywood Gossip didn't accuse Katie Rees of getting involved in some serious girl-on-girl action just because she craved attention and was filled with insecurities.

So we're not gonna say a negative word about Foster and Usher now. We wish them the best.

First, of course, the stylist is forcing Usher to take her hand in marriage... despite the fact that she's pregnant with another man's baby! The nerve.

Now, reports are surfacing that Foster is forcing her man to fire the woman that's been his manager from the beginning: Jonetta Patton, aka his very own mother.

"They definitely don't get along," says one source of Mama Usher and Foster, who is ten years older than the R&B superstar and who left her husband for him.

But who would replace Patton as Usher's manager? Tameka, of course. No wonder execs at Jive Records are concerned. Foster knows as much about music as Keira Knightley knows about eating.

For now, this is just making the celebrity gossip rounds. The story may not be true. But if it is, we know one thing for sure:

Other fiances, such as François-Henri Pinault - and Ryan Piers Williams once he actually commits - would never act like this.

Let's put aside rumors that Usher's fiancee, Tameka Foster, is pregnant for a moment.

And let's instead send congratulations to Usher's mom, Jonetta Patton.

Even more impressively, it's reportedly to a hot younger guy.

"His name is Eric," says a close source.

"He is a former boxer from Houston, and he's 36."

Way to go, Jonetta. Eric is probably no Gabriel Aubry, but could be quite handsome nonetheless.

Neither Usher nor Foster, meanwhile, commented on the talk that Tameka got knocked up by her ex, Ryan Glover. Guess we'll need to wait a few months and see if a baby bump develops.

In the meantime, our celebrity baby jones will need to be satisfied with those adorable Larry Birkhead and Dannielynn photos from yesterday.

The Hollywood Gossip has already been receiving hate mail regarding Tameka Foster.

For whatever reason, many readers feel as though this stylist simply isn't good enough for singing - and abdominal - sensation, Usher. With that already being the case, we're afraid to see how fans will respond to this news:

Foster, who already has three children and is recently divorced from her first husband Ryan Glover, is allegedly four months pregnant with his Glover's child. It's like the case of Salma Hayek ... only Tameka isn't marrying François-Henri Pinault or even her baby's daddy at all.

Usher and Foster were reunited in February after a brief split. His spokeswoman announced the engagement a few weeks ago, while a source claims the hasty proposal took place due to the pregnancy.

We have no idea. But we do wonder if this will be a Dannielynn-like situation and if Usher will claim the child as his own. Stay tuned to find out.

A couple months after making his debut on Broadway, Usher is calling his run in Chicago quits a few days before it was meant to be completed.

The singer has been diagnosed with an "extreme" case of strep throat, his mom/manager, Jonnetta Patton, announced Thursday.

He's also been diagnosed with humilation over being in a play also associated now with Ashlee Simpson.

Usher, who turns 28 on Saturday, began his Chicago stint on August 22 and has maintained a low profile during his stay in NYC.

"If you think that you will be able to indulge in the nightlife, the wild life of New York City and do Broadway, it's impossible," the singer said at the beginning of his run.

Sounds like the man had serious respect for Broadway. Sort of how we respect this Scarlett Johansson picture.

However, Usher fell ill on Friday, and his understudy filled in for him throughout the week, causing fans to demand refunds.

"He is really saddened that he cannot close out his last week in Chicago with a bang," his manager said. "He expresses his sincere apologies to all of his fans who purchased tickets to see him this final week."
