With the naked eye, it appears as though Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian dressed as Batman and Catwoman for Halloween.

But anyone familiar with them can safely assume they'd never don such lame costumes.

Because those comic book characters have been done so many times (and because Odom scarcely made an effort to be the Caped Crusader), it's clear that Lamar and Khloe arrived at a party as something else entirely, something entirely opposite from what they actually are:

A couple that doesn't want attention.

You've gotta hand it to Kardodom for the effort. The pair almost seems to be shunning the spotlight with such a weak effort, but we know better.

Former star of The Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars Melissa Rycroft has set a wedding date with her fiance, insurance-agent Tye Strickland!

They will tie the knot December 12 of this year.

Their wedding plans, aside from the big date?

"We aren't doing much. I think small, we plan small," says Rycroft, who got engaged to Tye Strickland than six months after being dumped in January by The Bachelor star Jason Mesnick, who proposed to her on the season finale of the show.

"Whether it turns out the way we have it in our minds, I don't know!"

Bachelor co-stars Jillian Harris (who's still engaged to shady Ed Swiderski) and Naomi Crespo have scored invites to the beautiful winter wedding.

Rycroft's former Dancing With the Stars partner Tony Dovolani, with whom she made the finals, is reportedly attending the beauty's nuptials, too.

Jason Mesnick? Probably not gonna be on hand.

Are Melissa Rycroft and Tye Strickland not the hottest couple?

It's still hard to believe that less than five months after her humiliation on national TV (although her emails to Jason Mesnick indicate an earlier breakup), Melissa's become a star in her own right and is engaged to an entirely different hunk.

We're just happy she's found love. Melissa Rycroft deserves it. Even if he does spell Ty wrong. Clearly they are so happy together. We hear wedding bells ...

Earlier this week, Molly Malaney said she could marry Jason Mesnick "tomorrow."

Ironically, however, the couple that ended up together at the conclusion of this year's The Bachelor is not yet engaged.

Conversely, the woman that Jason passed over for Molly, Melissa Rycroft, is set to tie the knot with her insurance agent of a boyfriend, Tye Strickland.

"Tye is my true love," Rycroft said to People, comparing this relationship to her brief engagement to Mesnick. "No disrespect [to Jason] at all, but that situation doesn't compare to where I am now – engaged and happy. It's a different feeling."

While the couple admits it has set a wedding date, it also wants to keep the details of the nuptials private.

But that won't stop Strickland from gushing about his fiancee, or admitting that their circumstances are unusual.

"The last six months have not been normal," he said."But we wouldn't change it because what we had to go through has allowed us to be where we are today. It's been a blessing in disguise, and I don't think either of us has ill feelings towards anyone."

Considering how her engagement to Jason Mesnick went, it's no wonder that Melissa Rycroft is hesitant to plan too far into the future with Tye Strickland.

But the former Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars contestant told People last night that her fiance is moving ahead with wedding plans on his own, much to her contentment.

"Tye is planning more than I am," Rycroft said."At this point, I'm probably the worst bride in the history of brides... I don't know if we'll get married ever by the way that I plan it!"

There may not have been a rose ceremony, and it may not have taken place in front of any TV cameras, but reports indicate that Melissa Rycroft has been proposed to once again.

On Friday night, according to The Dallas Morning News, Rycroft and boyfriend Tye Strickland showed up at Brio Tuscan Grille in Southlake, Texas. They were joined by a pair of older couples, rumored to be each side's parents.

This spring, Tye Strickland accompanied Melissa Rycroft to Dancing with the Stars training. Now, he'll accompany her to bed every night for the rest of their lives!

As a vase of fresh flowers sat on the table, whispers around the restaurant turned to the fact that Melissa and Tye got engaged earlier in the evening.

The newspaper cites sources that claim Rycroft was presented with a ring inside of a box that featured its own internal lighting (to make the diamond shine).

If this is true, the controversial Bachelor finale in March will have resulted in two happy endings: one for Rycroft and Strickland; and one for Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney, who are together and very much in love, according to THG insiders.

As previously reported, the stars came out last night for Us Weekly's Hot Hollywood party.

But while A-listers such as Lauren Conrad and Paris Hilton were in attendance, someone the country had never heard of six months ago stole the spotlight.

Indeed, former Bachelor suitor and current Dancing Star Melissa Rycroft used the event to show off boyfriend Tye Strickland for the first time in public.

Note to Tye Strickland: You better not dump Melissa Rycroft on national television!

The couple walked the red carpet at Hollywood hot spot My Club, arm-in-arm, smile-to-smile. Rycroft then spoke on the overwhelming attention.

"I feel like I am a normal girl in L.A. now!" she said. "It's weird. It's awesome. It's so surreal."

For the first time, Melissa also met DeAnna Pappas. We can only imagine the Jason Mesnick stories these two swapped back and forth.

Her Personal Cheerleader

Melissa Rycroft's boyfriend, Ty Strickland, was spotted again in the audience Tuesday night. "His goal is to be here for all the shows," Rycroft said about her boyfriend, who commutes back and forth from Dallas to Los Angeles.

Although he didn't have to sweat it out Tuesday since Rycroft was far from the bottom of the scoreboard, he did cheer when it was announced the Dallas beauty would be officially be dancing again next week.

After the show, Rycroft beelined for her beau while dance partner Tony Dovolani greeted Strickland with a man hug. Good to see the two new men in her life get along.

Another Blast from the Past

After the cameras stopped rolling Tuesday night, The Bachelor host Chris Harrison walked onto the dance floor and greeted a surprised Rycroft with a huge hug.

"The last time I saw him, I was storming off stage." Rycroft said. "This is a much better atmosphere to be reunited with him."

Ty Strickland was there to cheer on girlfriend Melissa Rycroft, as usual, while an injured Jewel was seen on Dancing with the Stars supporting her significant other as well.

Fighting Through the Pain

At the top of the show when Mark Ballas performed with the other pro dancers to the sounds of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy - who performed live in the studio - Ballas was reportedly wincing in pain and rubbing his lower back.

But in a season that has already seen a slew of injuries, Ballas isn't the latest on the injured list. He assured us, "I just scratched it. I'm alright."

The Jewel in the Crown

Or something. There were plenty of ovations throughout the night, but Jewel received the longest one after she performed "Over the Rainbow" from her upcoming CD.

Her former dance partner Dmitry Chaplin and Chelsie Hightower, whose partner is Jewel's husband Ty Murray, wowed the audience with a performance as she sang.

Keeping Them Entertained

Speaking of Chelsie Hightower, she was keeping everyone's spirits high with her youthful energy before the final two couples were announced in the dance-off.

During a commercial, the 19-year-old rehearsed a super-quick quick step with Ty Murray, then turned around and started high-fiving and low-fiving Steve Wozniak.

Days after Molly Malaney was spotted with her former fiance, Melissa Rycroft has a message for Jason Mesnick:

Two can play this dating game!

The scorned Bachelor contestant, and current Dancing with the Stars participant, showed up at a dance studio in West Hollywood earlier today with her insurance agent boyfriend, Tye.

Rycroft has referred to Ty as her "support system," adding that the pair has been very good friends for awhile and the timing is finally right to see what else is there.

We still don't know the full name of Melissa Rycroft's boyfriend, but we do know this: he's one lucky fella!
