Seriously, Kanye West is sorry.

The rapper has taken to Twitter to once again apologize for the mess he made at last year's MTV Video Music Awards, when he cut Taylor Swift off mid-speech and said Beyonce deserved an award over her.

"I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that's so beautiful and I want her to have it," Kanye Tweeted this week. "If she won't take it then I'll perform it for her. She had nothing to do with my issues with award shows. She had no idea what hit her."

Twitter rules. There's so much awesome stuff on there (including THG's page), you can spend hours on it and there's no telling what you'll come across.

For one, you can debunk Paris Hilton's not-my-purse-defense, which she provided for after her drug possession arrest. Ah, stars and the crap they post.

Paris' excuse - that she borrowed the purse she was busted with - has just been shot down by this very Twitter pic she posted of the same Chanel bag:

Paris bragged about this months ago. Bet she wishes she hadn't.

Of course, she will likely shift gears to Excuse B upon reading this. The slight variation of the story is that someone else borrowed the purse from her and put coke in it, and that the ho-tel heiress never checked the bag's contents.

Likely story.

Regardless, the Clark County District Attorney's office says the purse she was carrying may end up mattering all that much - possession is possession.

Ashton Kutcher has been accused of infidelity by Star Magazine.

The actor quickly Tweeted his innocence, threatening legal action against the publication. We tend to believe Kutcher, for a couple reasons:

1. The source is a supermarket tabloid that quotes nary a named witness.
2. Wife Demi Moore Tweeted the following photos this week. Seriously, who needs to go elsewhere when you can come home to this?

Demi Moore is 47 years old. Amazing.

Somewhere, Bill O'Reilly is preparing a tirade.

Samantha Ronson says music is what connects her with her spiritual side. It's an understandable sentiment, however she may want to reconsider her phrasing.

The former girlfriend of Lindsay Lohan spins at a party called Take Em to Church Sundays, which predictably earned flak from her considerable Twitter following.

When one "fan" berated her on Twitter for "more religion crammed down our throats," SamRo responded, "religion?? F*%k religion. My religion is music, homie."

We imagine she'll be hearing about that one.

As we reported over the weekend, Lady Gaga has usurped Britney Spears as the new Queen of Twitter. She's now #1 in followers among ALL HUMANS.

But what good is a monarch without respect for the people they serve, a few edicts - and a costume crafted in honor of the social networking site?

Not a lot if you ask us.

"I wanted to thank all my beautiful little monsters for following me," she said in the inauguration video below. "Thank you for beginning my reign as Twitter queen. May you always have soft cuticles while tweeting, may you never have carpal tunnel."

"I vow to never partake in celebrity online shenanigans. And I vow to always tweet and tweet again," she said ... before getting called to rehearsal.

With 5,771,673 followers at last count, Lady Gaga has assumed a larger lead on Spears (5,719,432) in the last couple of days, so it looks like this queen isn't being voted out anytime soon. Which makes sense. Queens and democracy don't mix.

Following last night's fifth season premiere of her family's reality show, which focused on Kourtney Kardashian refusing to leave baby daddy Scott Disick, sister Khloe has a message for her sibling.

At least we think she does. It's difficult to interpret her immature Twitter-speak. Over the course of several Tweets, Khloe made her feelings on Scott known. She wrote:

I dont allow peps 2 treat me like crapthen open my arms up 2 them so quickly. Kourt needs 2 think be4 she goes back in2 her comfort routine. I need 2 c a REAL change before I feel comfortable letting Mase and Kourt around him.

I'm there 4 Kourt by not letting scott continue 2 hurt her. Tough love it is. Im not going to 4give some1 6 times. Ur not me.

Words to think about, huh, Kourt? We mean that literally. One has to really read each syllable slowly.

Of course, any celebrity gossip follower - or human being with a pulse - knows that Khloe is simply Tweeting this nonsense to make headlines.

After all, episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians were filmed months ago. Since then, Scott has reportedly entered rehab and the family is mostly giving him another chance.

One burst on the scene in the late 1990s and became one of the most successful pop artists of all-time, dominating sales and headlines throughout the next decade.

The other made a name for herself in the late 2000s and, while her career is still in its early stages, looks poised for a decade comparable to that of her predecessor.

It's little surprise that Britney Spears and Lady Gaga are battling for Twitter supremacy, given their hit songs, controversial images and impact on popular culture.

Right now, Gaga leads at 5,713,469 followers. Britney has 5,695,008. Ashton Kutcher, who Spears just passed to temporarily claim the #1 spot, has 5,568,785.

Who would you rather ... follow on a social network?

Buoyed by a year and a half of smash hit singles, outrageous outfits and Lady Gaga hermaphrodite rumors, the "Bad Romance" singer leads on Facebook as well.

Spears, whose celebrity status has proved as bulletproof as it is long-lasting and enormous despite various mishaps, isn't doing too shabbily on that site, either.

Who will reign supreme as the Queen of All Social Media? At least until Justin Bieber decides he will become #1 and does so immediately? Only time will tell.

Courtney Love has issues.

Her daughter, with the late Kurt Cobain, Frances Bean, just turned 18, and let's just say Court didn't mark the occasion with a nice Hallmark card.

Frances Bean Cobain was publicly blistered by her rock star mom on Twitter in a string of vintage Courtney Love impassioned, nonsensical attacks.

She was scolded that "youve done a damned good job frances of destroying anything i could build" and warned that Love can and will "ruiinher."

"Why would you leave me and my life in tatters like this" reads another Love Tweet. "was that therapist right? Why do you want to ruin my life?"

But in typical Courtney fashion, she turns on a dime to regrets and seemingly bona dide compliments, Tweeting that she "aches" for her daughter.

The two have engaged in a vicious, often public battle since late last year, when her own unstable conduct cost her legal guardianship of Frances.

Courtney's latest album, Nobody's Daughter, written while the star was in rehab, was released in April, just weeks after Frances released a record.

Maybe mom and daughter can mend fences and collaborate on a record together next? Some of these Tweets would make for tremendous lyrics.

After weeks of rumors over whether or not the incomparable Britney Spears would actually appear personally on the Glee episode in her honor this fall, the pop icon confirmed it this week via a Twitter pic of herself and her assistant on the set.

Now, two additional Britney Spears pictures have emerged featuring the singer and a cast member of the Fox series! Check them out below - Britney's posing here with Heather Morris, who plays Brittany, fittingly, and creator Ryan Murphy:

Britney Spears will appear on the September 28 episode of Glee.

Along with the photo, in which she reenacts her famous pose with Madonna, the pop icon wrote: "All my GLEEKERS in the crowd, Grab a partner take it down."

Britney has called the experience a ton of fun and we can't wait to see the tribute to her music. We've already seen Lea Michele in "Baby One More Time" garb.

We think we speak for millions when we say her Glee appearance and the second season premiere of the show - September 21 - can't arrive quickly enough!

Never drink and drive. That message has been drilled into our heads for decades. Now there is a newer threat: Texting/Tweeting/Facebooking and driving.

New reports indicate that Dr. Frank Ryan, plastic surgeon to Heidi Montag and other celebrities, was Tweeting just before his fatal car accident on Monday.

Ex-girlfriend Charmaine Blake said the surgeon “lived up in Malibu on a tiny street and he was texting while driving and he accidentally went over the cliff.”

People also confirmed with the California Highway Patrol that Ryan was Tweeting, although the official cause of the accident has still not been determined.

Dr. Frank Ryan was purportedly Tweeting about his border collie, Jill, when he lost control of his car. His final tweet was a photo of Jill atop a sand dune.

The dog survived injuries incurred in the crash.

Dr. Frank Ryan passed away after a car crash yesterday.

While often associated with teenagers, Ryan's reported texting and driving proves how this has become a serious and underrated problem for adult drivers as well.

Public service announcements and advocacy campaigns dedicated to highlighting the dangers of texting, etc., while driving have become more prevalent of late.

In addition to advocacy by governments, consumer groups and wireless companies, some states have even passed laws barring it, even if they allow phone calls.

Hopefully those measures, coupled with incidents like this latest tragedy, can serve as a reminder for others to put down the phone. You can Tweet and text later.
