Hope Solo. With the U.S. soccer star, there's rarely a dull moment.

Wednesday afternoon, Hope was apparently trying to either text or direct-message a friend, but ended up Tweeting out her phone number to 660,000 followers.

Solo quickly deleted the tweet ... then claimed it was a joke?

U ain't got that new number, Hope Solo followers! BURN!

The number was actually for her hair salon (we've been told, not that we called), making the situation - or Solo's rationalization of it - no less puzzling.

A false tweet from the Associated Press indicated that the White House was the victim of two explosions this morning and that the President was injured.

This is not the case at all. President Barack Obama is fine.

Moreover, the AP confirms its Twitter feed was hacked.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney held a press conference shortly following the Twitter post, saying without a doubt that "the President is fine."

Millions of fans tuned in to the Los Angeles Lakers' 91-79 defeat yesterday in the opening game of their Western Conference Playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs.

But one fan in particular stood out for his Tweeted opinions on the team's offense flow... or lackthereof.

Kobe Bryant, out for the year with a torn Achilles, sent multiple cyber messages throughout the contest, making it clear he believed Pau Gasol should "post, post, post," while also lamenting the team's "matador defense" against Tony Parker.

The rapper/singer made a statement to that effect on Twitter this week, calling out people for anti-gay sentiments in an apparent defense of his assistant.

"Attention homophobic idiots: if you're not attractive to straight women, you're probably not attractive to gay men. You can unclench now," T-Pain wrote.

A fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas decimated the town (which is actually in Central Texas) last night, killing at least five people and injuring at least 160.

Wayward star and social media mainstay Amanda Bynes outdid herself with the recent Twitter video and rant against Kid Cudi and Complex Magazine.

The actress' behavior has kept her in the media spotlight lately, despite her self-professed "retirement." And there's never a dull moment on her Twitter.

On Tuesday, Bynes put up a baffling video of herself, then ripped Complex for labeling it an "intricate, faux public breakdown, Joaquin Phoenix-style."

"Stop acting like I'm doing something wrong," she wrote to Complex on Twitter. "I'm obsessed with myself on Twitter. Also, my video last night was perfection."

She then blamed ex-boyfriend Kid Cudi for bad-mouthing her.
