The Secret Circle Trailer: Will You Watch?
It's already found success with vampires (The Vampire Diaries) and demon hunters (Supernatural), so can you really blame The CW for delving into the realm of witches this fall?
Debuting on Thursday nights in September, the network will air The Secret Circle, a drama based on a series of novels by L..J. Smith and starring Britt Robertson as a teenager who discovers her destiny is based around a coven of spell casters.

Same Sex Smooching: Ahead on 90210!
What does a TV show do when it's been off the air for three months and needs to capture the attention of viewers?
Easy: time for some girl-on-girl action!
As teased previously, Rumer Willis' Gia and Jessica Lowndes' Adrianna will explore a relationship when 90210 returns with new episodes next week. The former is already out as a lesbian, but why does the latter - who has been known to sleep with (a lot!) of men - experiment with the same sex?
Because she runs into Gia at an AA meeting. D'uh! How can that not lead to the following make-out scene?!?
Explaining the storyline to People, Lowndes said:
“Adrianna and Gia share a special bond. My character starts questioning whether or not sexuality is measured on a spectrum, if it’s black and white or if it comes down to who you connect with and who you are compatible with. I’m excited as an actress to tell the story.”
You can read about more 90210 spoilers right now, but we have no need to. Two girls kissing? We're totally in!
THG's Top 10 Favorite TV Doctors
They may not be real doctors, but they cure what ails us on TV. Well, most of the time at least. Either way, we live and die with these characters weekly.
Here are The Hollywood Gossip's 10 favorite TV doctors ...
10. Dr. Fitch Cooper, Nurse Jackie. "Doctors don't heal, they diagnose. We heal." Okay, that line is actually from the title character. But "Coop" is a great supplement to Jackie. He also sleeps with Jennie Garth and stars in New Moon!
9. Dr. Andy Yablonski, Three Rivers. If CBS' new show about transplants seen via different points of view survives, it can thank Alex O'Loughlin. Hot.

8. Dr. Olivia Benford, FlashForward. ABC's uneven sci-fi series has a lot of flaws. Sonya Walger (a.k.a. Penny from Lost) is actually not among them!
7. Drs. Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon, Nip/Tuck. Whether the plastic surgeons are fathering illegitimate children, face-disfiguring serial rapists, or performing tummy tucks, there's not much to like about these two. Just how we like it.
6. Dr. Charlotte King, Private Practice. The Grey's Anatomy spinoff features a number of worthy candidates, but we're taking KaDee Strickland's smack-talking, ass-kicking, emotionally stunted and gorgeous Southern belle.
5. Dr. Leo Spaceman, 30 Rock. When you need medical advice ... seek it from anyone but Dr. Leo Spaceman (pronounced spa-che-men). But for comedy, Chris Parnell's doctor may be unrivaled (as are his 30 Rock quotes).

4. Drs. Miranda Bailey and Cristina Yang, Grey's Anatomy. We know. How do we not pick McDreamy or McSteamy? Because Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh have nine Emmy nominations combined for a reason, that's why.
3. Dr. Elliot Reid, Scrubs. We've had a huge crush on her for years. She's part neurotic nerdy and part Barbie doll. Basically ... marry us, Elliot?
2. Dr. Jack Shephard, Lost. If Jack weren't aboard Oceanic Flight 815, the castaways would have been lost without their de facto leader in Seasons One and Two. Then Ben would have died in Season Three! Thank you Jack!
1. Dr. Gregory House, House M.D. ''What would you prefer, a doctor who holds your hand while you die or one who ignores you while you get better?" That would be House summed up in one quote. And he's still the best.

THG's Top 10 Favorite TV Couples
They make us laugh. They make us cry. They occasionally make us change the channel when the wife walks in, or want to hurl the remote at the screen. What would TV be without romances ranging from depraved to desperate to delightfully boring?
Here are The Hollywood Gossip's top 10 TV couples of this fall ...
10. Violet and Auggie (Melrose Place)
Conniving Violet and recovering addict Auggie, who flirt constantly on the Melrose remake, are on this only because their "chemistry" offers so much unintentional comedy. And got both Ashlee Simpson and Colin Egglesfield fired.
9. Meredith and Derek (Grey's Anatomy)
Meredith and Derek (McDreamy) have been together so long, it's almost as if there is no relationship drama left for Grey's Anatomy to waste time on. Which is a good thing, after year after year of breakups and will-they-won't-they nonsense.
8. Betty and Don (Mad Men)
We're suckers for the period piece. And January Jones. She and Jon Hamm may look like a wholesome '50s couple, but they aren’t that innocent. Or even close.

What's not to love about Jim and Pam from The Office?
7. Jim and Pam (The Office)
These two have melted our hearts, and made us laugh along with the rest of the Dunder Mifflin gang with memorable Office Quotes from day one. When their baby arrives later this year, we might just burst from cute overload.
6. Darryl and Roxie (Eastwick)
Newbie witch Roxie (Rebecca Romijn) may be dating much younger Chad (Matt Dallas) but can’t resist a more mature, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross).
5. Peter and Elizabeth (White Collar)
Just a few episodes in, new USA series White Collar features Peter (Tim DeKay) and Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen), who may struggle to make time to see each other, but always find a way to make up for lost time, if you know what we mean.
4. Bill and Sookie (True Blood)
This HBO twosome definitely wins most R-rated! Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Bill (Stephen Moyer) have lots and lots of sex. They may be madly in love, although another vampire, Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) poses a potential threat.
Two very different but equally appealing vampire couples make our list.
3. Stefan and Elena (The Vampire Diaries)
Mystic Falls high school student Elena (Nina Dobrev) is attracted to Stefan, a vampire more than 150 years old (Paul Wesley) but after Elena learns what he really is, she recoils. There's enough tension here to carry The Vampire Diaries for years!
2. Chuck and Blair (Gossip Girl)
Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick are so great as their Gossip Girl alter egos that they may have created a new prototype for TV relationships - they are actually more entertaining together, while still growing as individuals, than apart.
1. Finn, Quinn and Rachel (Glee)
Okay, so it's more complicated love triangle than couple, but bear with us if you have not seen Glee, which is one of the best new shows of the fall season so far:
QB Finn (Cory Monteith) has a crush on Rachel (Lea Michele), he’s committed to former cheerleader Quinn (Dianna Agron) who says she’s pregnant with his baby. But football player Puck (Mark Salling) has admitted he is the baby daddy!

Girl-on-Girl Action: Coming to 90210!
When we were 12, and had huge crushes on Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth, this storyline would have been awesome.
Now, we're (a tiny bit) more mature and simply roll our eyes at the planned lesbian storyline coming to 90210.
Indeed, show producer Rebecca Sinclair confirms that Rumer Willis' lesbian character of Gia will get a girlfriend in early 2010... in the form of previously straight Adrianna!
In the past, the strategy of turning a series regular gay for a few episodes was a clear publicity stunt, as fans of The OC and Mischa Barton likely recall.
But the ratings for 90210 have surged this season. Says Sinclair of the plot:
“This isn’t a fling. We’re coming at this [relationship] from a genuine place and not going, ‘Let’s do a titillating story that will grab some promotion.’ This is a real aspect of teenager life that’s interesting... And there’s been a real void in the 90210 universe in terms of gay and bisexual characters.”
That will actually start to change this Tuesday night when Samantha Ronson guest stars.

Grey's Anatomy Premiere: The First Five Minutes
Thursday night is shaping up to be quite the TV night.
This isn't a new concept, but with two of the hottest new shows on this evening in addition to the return of a perennial Top 10 drama, it's more true than ever.
At 8 p.m., the CW airs Vampire Diaries, while FlashForward premieres on ABC (and from the looks of the FlashFoward spoilers we've seen so far, it looks great).
Then at 9 p.m., Grey's Anatomy returns for its sixth season. One that its producers and cast say will be unlike any other we've experienced in its long history.
As a teaser for the premiere, the network has leaked the first five minutes of this two-hour Grey's event. Needless to say, we're in for a gripping evening.
Check out the clip below, in which Alex ponders how to tell Izzie about George, Mark and Lexie hear the news, and she makes a surprising declaration ...
Ashlee Simpson Tries, Fails to Seduce Camera in Melrose Place Promo Pic
This just in: Ashlee Simpson is not sexy.
Chalk it up to the plastic face; the overbearing father; the annoying sister; the tool of a husband; or, likely, all of the above.
But if the new Melrose Place is looking for an actress to stare seductively into the camera as part of its promotional campaign, allow us to suggest star Katie Cassidy. She's hot - and, unlike Ashlee, she's actually an actress.
The following photo, courtesy of TV Guide Magazine, demonstrates Simpson's utter lack of sex appeal:
Conversely, the stars of The Vampire Diaries know how to do dark and sexy. Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder may have taken their cues from the cast of the Twilight Saga, but that doesn't make them any less desirable.
If you're a fan of that film franchise, you've gotta tune in to this new CW show. It premieres on September 10.
Finally, in its fall television preview, TV Guide Magazine recommends Community, Eastwick and FlashForward. The strongest appeal of each these shows? None of them stars Ashlee Simpson.
Kim Kardashian to Guest Star on New, Terrible Sitcom
She knows how to date football players and she knows how to deal with sex rumors.
Therefore, Kim Kardashian apparently makes the ideal sitcom guest star, as she'll appear in an October episode of Brothers in a role she has perfected: herself.
The new series stars former NFL star Michael Strahan, along with Daryl "Chill" Mitchell, CCH Pounder and Carl Weathers.
In the Kim-centric episode, the reality star confronts former football player Michael Trainor (Strahan) regarding rumors that the pair has enjoyed a secret tryst.
This, of course, is foreign territory for Kardashian: her sexual trysts are never secret!
Exclusive Look: Evan Rachel Wood on True Blood
Of course Evan Rachel Wood has been cast on True Blood.
The actress dated Marilyn Manson for over two years, making her uniquely qualified to hang out on a series that's focused on vampires and other unusual creatures.
Wood will premiere on True Blood on August 30. She will be taking on the role of Queen Sophie-Ann, who is described by show creator Alan Ball as someone “nobody’s ever entirely happy to see. She’s very powerful, capricious and most likely insane.”
Here are a pair of photos from Wood's debut episode:
In other True Blood news: Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin got engaged last week. We wish the best to this couple!
Presenting: The New Ugly Betty!
Is it too late to rename the series Pretty Betty?
As filming for ABC's Ugly Betty gets underway, the show has given its main character a serious makeover.
Played by America Ferrera, Betty Suarez has said goodbye to her braces and sayonara to her messy, curly hair.
In April, producer Silvio Horta warned fans about the impending new look. He said: “There’s going to be a progression in her look overall. It’ll still be Betty, but you’ll see some growth in that direction.”
That's for sure. Compare the before-and-after shots below:
