Fans of True Blood may have noticed that the character of James had been recast for the seventh season premiere, with Luke Grimes being replaced by Nathan Parsons.

So why such an unexpected shake-up in the show's final season?

Well, according Buzzfeed, unidentified sources who worked on the series claim that Grimes insisted he be let out of his contract after learning that some of the unexpected gay sex in True Blood season 7 would be performed by his character.

Sources say Grimes "objected to the first few scripts he received," as they revealed that his character will be involved in a same sex relationship with Nelsan Ellis' Lafayette.

Grimes' agent denies the allegation claiming the actor was forced to exit the series due to a scheduling conflict.

The View is getting a major makeover.

ABC confirmed on Thursday that neither Sherri Shepherd nor Jenny McCarthy will return to the afternoon talk show this fall, with the former saying via statement:

"It’s been seven wonderful years on The View and after careful consideration it is time for me to move on. I am extremely grateful to Barbara Walters and Bill Gedde for giving me the opportunity.

"I look forward to the business opportunities that lay ahead for me and I am incredibly grateful to my View family and my fans for supporting me on this journey."

Shepherd's exit comes as a bit of a surprise, but talk of McCarthy leaving has been circulating for weeks now.

Miley Cyrus' Bangerz Tour is experiencing disappointing sales but it seems the Queen of Twerk has decided to go nuclear in her efforts to promote the US leg.

Miley will perform a two-hour televised concert for NBC on July 6.

Miley Cyrus Smokes Fake Joint
Miley Cyrus is smoking a pretend, gigantic joint in this concert photo. What else would you expect, she's in Amsterdam?

The 9 pm time slot leads us to believe it'll be a slightly censored PG-13 version of Miley's usual stage show.

So we sadly won't get to see Miley smoking joints on stage or performing unspeakable acts with a giant inflatable dildo, but we will get to see things like this:

And if a tongue-wagging, weed-necklaced split won't get you to tune in, we don't know what will.

The Real Housewives of New York City was facing cancelation earlier this season, as ratings for the once-popular reality series hit an all-time low.

Now, Bravo execs have allegedly decided to keep the show - and axe the cast.

The Real Housewives of NY Season 5 Cast

Radar Online reports that the entire cast of RHONY has been fired, with the exception of Ramona Singer, whose future on the show remains in doubt.

As the series begins to wrap up its sixth season this summer, the audition process for an all-new cast for season seven is already underway.

The news wouldn't be terribly surprising, although it has yet to be confirmed by Bravo, which does not make official casting moves during the season.

It's been known for some time, though, that Bravo would likely have to make major changes to one of its longest reality series if the show was to survive.

Producers are expected to seek out young, hot and - most importantly - quick tempered women of privilege for a revamped Real Housewives of New York.

Last month, actress Lena Headey posted a Game of Thrones spoiler on her Instagram page that left many fans irate.

Now, it turns out all that rage may have been for nothing as another GoT star made a contradictory reveal during a recent interview (spoilers lie ahead):

Michelle Fairley played Catelyn Stark for three seasons, until her character was offed during the famous Red Wedding scene.

In George R.R. Martin's books upon which GoT is based, Catelyn returns to the land of the living as Lady Stoneheart - a mute zombie-like creature hell-bent on avenging her departed family members.

Fans had hoped the badass undead Lady Stark would make her first appearance at the end of season four. When that didn't happen many felt certain the GoT showrunners would reveal the character early in the fifth season.

In a recent interview, however, Fairley basically crushed fans' hopes of ever getting to see one of the most screwed-over characters in TV history finally enjoy her much-deserved revenge:

Amidst all the casting rumors swirling around The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the most interesting has the show adding something entirely new to the Housewives franchise - an actual celebrity, who wouldn't be relying on the show for her fame.

Suzanne Somers on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Suzanne Somers has long been friends with some of the RHOBH ladies and early reports had Somers signing with Bravo for the series' fifth season.

Fans were excited, as not only would it have been the first time that the fame-obsessed cast included a legitimate star, but if rumors that Lisa Vanderpump is quitting the show had turned out to be true, then Somers would be the perfect, classy replacement.

Unfortunately, while her reps confirm that she'll likely appear in a few scenes this season, Somers denies that she will be joining as a regular cast member.

Somers provided one simple (and very understandable) reason for declining to become a Real Housewife:

Change will NOT be coming to American Idol Season 14.

Despite the series plunging to all-time low ratings on Season 13, Fox has confirmed that Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. will all return as judges for the upcoming go-around.

Ryan Seacrest, of course, will also be back as host.

American Idol Season 13 Judges

"Jennifer, Keith, Harry and Ryan are the very best in the business at what they do, and I’m thrilled that they are returning to American Idol for another season,” said David Hill, Senior Executive VP, 21st Century Fox.

"Each brings unique qualities and expertise to the team, but they all share the same passion for helping undiscovered singers achieve the American dream.”

Bethenny Frankel's talk show was canceled back in February, and the former Real Housewife claimed she was happy it was over, as she felt "diluted" and "constricted" by the daytime chat format.

Well, apparently she felt even more diluted and constricted by not getting a paycheck, because new reports indicate that Bethenny is in "serious talks" to join the long-running panel discussion show "The View."

Pic of Bethenny Frankel

"The View is looking for someone to spice up the show," a source tells VH1. "Someone with lots of opinions and a big personality and Bethenny is at the top of the list."

As an opinionated, highly vocal co-host with a reality TV background, Frankel would make an ideal replacement for former Survivor contestant Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck left The View last year for a gig at Fox News.
