Tina Fey: Big on Laughs, Not on Botox

"You can point any kind of laser at my face, but I don't think Botox is for me," Tina Fey says in the November issue of Harper's Bazaar. "I think it is bad."

Spoken as only a career comedienne can.

Fey also adds that certain celebrities who have "too much" Botox "look like their faces are full of candles - a shiny, shiny face. Festive. A holiday candle."

Still, she has concerns about her looks. Sometimes, on the set of 30 Rock, the entertainer of the year tells cameramen to "frame me from the waist up."

"If there is a shot that's bad, I can take it out," she adds.

"That is why L.A. is so bad, because they take your picture from any side. That is why people in L.A. maintain 360-degree fitness. I don't have the time."

Tina Fey in Harper

Tina Fey looks terrific, and is entertaining as always.

A typical day for Fey, who has a daughter, Alice, 4, with her husband, composer Jeff Richmond: "Work, come home, play, kid bounce, work again, go to bed."

Lately, though, Fey says she has been making time for "shopping." Says the Saturday Night Live alum, "I am no longer the least stylish woman in the room."

As for her trademark glasses, recognizable from 30 Rock and in many SNL Tina Fey videos, "I don't wear them very much in real life because I need them to see only far away. And I don't wear them when I am dressed up, because I look like Tootsie."

Tina and many hilarious 30 Rock quotes return October 15.

Tina Fey Brings the Funny to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

In case her spot-on impressions of Sarah Palin, along with her Emmy Award-winning performance on 30 Rock, weren't enough to prove that Tina Fey is the funniest woman on the planet, consider this:

She made us laugh at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night.

It certainly wasn't the awkward, stiff host that elicited guffaws from our staff.

Instead, it was Fey's admission that her three-year old daughter is responsible for many hilarious 30 Rock quotes, most notably Liz Lemon's catchphrase: "I want to go to there."

In the clip above, Fey also previews a possible future catchphrase for a character on the sitcom.

Evidently, after asking her child if she were finished with a lollipop a couple weeks ago, the actress' daughter replied: "No, mommy, I wanna have a lot of suck tonight."

Fey thinks it's a good line for Tracy Morgan. We agree. Or maybe for Megan Hauserman.

Tina Fey: The Entertainer of the Year

Sarah Palin may not have made it to the Vice Presidency (insert sigh of relief here), but her comedic alter ego reaped the success of November's election.

The Associated Press has crowned Tina Fey its Entertainer of the Year after editors and publishers across the United States selected her as the performer "who had the single greatest impact on culture and entertainment in 2008."

Between 30 Rock quotes and farcical Sarah Palin videos, Fey "gave us funny when we really needed it," according to one entertainment news reporter.

Hot Tina Fey!

Fey bested Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr., and Heath Ledger, whose terrific and posthumous performance in The Dark Knight haunted audiences last summer.

Despite multiple Emmys for 30 Rock and the successful release of her first film, Baby Mama, it was Fey's Sarah Palin impression that made the biggest impression among entertainment / celebrity news fans. And it's easy to see why!

Sarah Palin Quote of the Day

"I want to make sure she’s holding on to that Sarah outfit. Because she’s gonna need it in the next four years." - Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, offering "a little advice to Tina Fey" at a recent campaign rally in Columbus, Ohio.

Those be fightin' words!

Apparently confident of her chances of being elected Vice President of the United States tomorrow, the Republican contender told her now-infamous Saturday Night Live impersonator not to put away those rimless glasses and updo just yet.

She could have four more years of material, in other words.

Fey and Palin

Tina Fey, who was chief writer of SNL before leaving to star in 30 Rock, but has become a frequent SNL guest star this fall, had said that she hopes to "retire" her Sarah Palin impersonation for good this month. If you know what she means.

She means she hopes John McCain and Sarah Palin go down. Whether she gets her wish remains to be seen, but the future of late-night comedy depends on it.

Live, From New York, it's ... John McCain!

With the presidential election just days away, Republican candidate John McCain drew laughs – often at his own expense – on Saturday Night Live last night.

In response to Barack Obama's purchase of airtime on several major networks on Wednesday night, McCain lamented that he could only afford airtime on QVC.

"I'm a true Maverick: a Republican without money!" the Arizona Senator joked that, "My only showbiz connections are Jon Voight and Heidi from The Hills."

By his side were wife Cindy McCain, who lent a hand selling "McCain Fine Gold Jewelry," and his running mate Sarah Palin ... a.k.a. SNL alum Tina Fey.

Here's the opening Saturday Night Live sketch ...

Follow the jump for two more clips - McCain's appearance on SNL's Weekend Update segment, and some backstage footage of himself and Cindy ...
